Cool. Thanks, brush, for pointing that out! I think there are some good reasons to guess that mage-templar war would at least feature in the new game, but we've all figured it wouldn't make sense to be the focus. So that is comforting. Gosh, you know, I just noticed for the first time that the English version mentions that Ferelden is recovering from the dark spawn incursion "a decade ago." Heh, that might tell us the game is set in 9:40-9:41. 

Oh. Yeah.

Interestingly, just looked up when Silent Grove begins to remind myself (they give the date in the first frame; 9:38), and in the general description it also says it takes place a decade after the Blight. So, apparently big errorbars on "decade" sometimes! LOL

Ya know, I was doing so well today too. Just bought myself a copy of The Hobbit, not stressing myself out over lack of DA3 info, making some progress in my most recent Mass Effect playthrough. Then Cameron comes along, f*cks ALL that up with one itty bitty little tweet.

LOL, I wish they'd show us some of these bloody leaps and strides! Looks like most of us won't get our World of Thedas books until right at the end of April thanks to Amazon, so that's another month of sweet FA to sit through!

I dunno, they didn't say. Could just be Amazon, rather than BioWare actually putting the dates back.

Apparently The World of Thedas book on Amazon has been pushed back to May 6th now, but on the BioWare store it still says April 17th and April 39th (depending on whether you order the special edition one). I'm wondering if maybe Amazon are getting confused?

There's a thread in the DA3 forum about it, I'll keep an eye on it and let you guys know if one of the devs posts some clarification.

It actually looks like Morrigan is getting a proper top/bra here? That's definitely not the little string thing she had before, anyway. It just happens to be white... I think, if they're changing her string thing to a bra for real, I'd like it in a darker colour. White doesn't seem like Morrigan, I guess?

(And please tell me mages will get a flaming hand spell. That looks kind of badarse.)

Double post for question time!

Out of curiosity, has anyone started thinking about the design of their Inquisitor/Protagonist? I know we don't know what the CC will look like yet, but does anyone have any thoughts on it? Like hair colour/eye colour/a general 'look' they want to try and achieve?

Well, for my first ever playthrough of any BioWare game I always play as myself and make all the decisions I'd make in that situation, just to see how badly I'd screw up if it was real life lol, so the closer I can get her to look like me the more inclined I am to get her to behave in a way that I would lol.

So my plan is to try and make the protagonist look as much like me as possible lol. I'm hoping that the black hair will actually look black this time, I'm also hoping they'll let us have freckles and give us more/better hair options. I'd love to have some of the female hairstyles available that The Witcher 2 had.

I don't personally play as myself in roleplay games, but I should try that sometime! Just to see how messed up the world would end up if I was ever put on a world saving quest... I have a terrible feeling I'll get the worst ending. XD;

For me... I'm not too sure. I tend to go with darker hair and brown or green eyes, so maybe I should try a blonde or red head this time for a change. *rubs chin*

There's just something really interesting and fun about playing the protagonist as yourself for the first ever playthrough. It's like, you're experiencing everything with fresh eyes as you play the game, at the same time as the protagonist-you is experiencing everything for the first time too, it's almost like a bonding experience with the game itself. Plus, it kinda gives you an insight into yourself lol.

I dunno. Bioware store doesn't seem to be as well tended as Amazon, so honestly, I'd be inclined to trust the Amazon dates. And, the release date on the U.S. amazon is still April 30 (May 6 is probably the delivery date estimate). Dark Horse still has the April 17 date as well, but probably because it doesn't automatically update either.

Anyhoo, it's a bummer, but it is like it is!

On Morrigan's bikini...honestly, in the game, I thought she was wearing nothing under her little shawl of a shirt, so in my opinion any bikini top is an improvement. It makes me flinch to think of running around Ferelden with the girls flying.

On DA3 cc... I don't have any kind of set plan. I never intend to make someone who looks like me, which sorta defeats the fantasy aspect for me (that would be like getting some special Soccer Mom Specialization. Um, no thanks. ) I just go with what strikes my fancy at the time. I do hope that we get our hands on the cc in advance since it'll take me FOREVER to get my character right.

I'm boring, I always choose the CGI trailer character as my hero. I try to get the Warden to look as close to the one in the Calling and Sacred Ashes trailer (I fail ofcourse, but that's a different story ). Hawke was a lot easier, albeit even he/she wasn't exactly the same.

I'll probably craft my Inquisitor as close to the trailer (if we even get one) as possible same as I always have.

As I said I'm boring

If the default protagonist's look is particularly attractive my canon playthrough will use the default, otherwise I'll make my own lol. I always use default male Shepard because he's more attractive that anything you can make in the CC. I didn't like how default Hawke looked though, he was much prettier in the CGI trailer.

He was a lot prettier than my Warden who looked like he fell out of the ugly tree, hit every branch on the way down unto the ugly rock, then watched as the ugly lumberjack cut the tree down carved it into a bat and started beating him with it....

My Warden was ugly is what I'm saying

LOL, I didn't mind how my Warden looked... Until I saw all the awesome CC mods for the PC version. I wish I could play it on the PC.
