We're talking about our plans for how we're going to design our Inquisitors in DAIII and any weird or stubborn headcanons we have about the lore or our past protagonists.

My Inquisitor will be a handsome strapping young man and look similar to me. Sorta like I did with my other avatar in DA2.

He'll be a very moody, sarcastic, aggressive and wants things done immediately.

Sorta like my first character from DA2:

Minus the scar and tats across the face. Hopefully I can do plenty of sarcastic reaction faces like that.

Yea, default one was ugly lol. Looked nothing like the CGI trailer.

LOL! So... yes and no. I'm not a true, real-life little person. But I'm pretty much a DA:O dwarf in heigh and build. Case in point:


Me with some normal-sized humans.


Me with my husband. 6' 3'' next to 5' even.

As you can see, I have established my DA dwarfedness while maintaining my anonymity.  

This is why I wish we'd have a return of racial options. Not only do I really like the dwarf culture, but since there are no body-customization options, I really miss being able to make a protagonist that looks like me!

Also: I wouldn't let you hug me all day. People have tried. Fingers have been broken.

Don't feel bad though Brush, most of the women in my family barely break 5'3". My grandmother's 4'3" and my cousin is an inch shorter.

Ooh, I wanna join in on this convo! (The Inquisitor looks one, not Brush's height. Though I do sympathize! I'm just under 5'3 with a 6'2 boyfriend)

I'm w/ Lola on the whole "playing as yourself" thing for the first time around. Dark brown hair, brown eyes. After that I usually will make another dark haired female w/ light eyes, make her the equivalent of a Thedas supermodel pretty much.

Hmm, as for headcanons. My Warden is happily serving as Alistair's queen, with a miracle kid though I know that is pretty much impossible. My rogue archer Hawke is on the run w/ Anders, being all rebellious and sh*t. And my Shepard, thanks to the wonderful Happy Ending mod for ME 3, was rescued by the Normandy shortly after the Reaper's destruction, and joyfully reunited with Garrus who then went on to adopt a snuggly little Krogan baby. Grunt is his big brother of sorts, since Shepard was the one to "birth" him from that tank back in ME2

My headcanons are boring. The Warden and Zevran go off to have adventures (screw you, Awakening). Hawke and Fenris retire to live in a cabin somewhere in the woods and adopt an elf mage child. As for ME, Shepard awakens and is reunited with Kaiden, la la la, happily ever after.

lol thats not boring, thats what I did! I am such a sucker for a happy ending. I like being happy after playing a game lol I don't like end up crying like a baby and then it turns into a migraine.... so fun with ME3... migraine every time.

My best friend in hs was 5'1, Brush. Awesome comic post, too. That would so happen XD

As for first playthroughs, I'm with R2. My protagonist will look like whatever my fancy is at the time. I do, almost always, play my character as I would act, though. It's definitely part of the joy of the first playthough.

I never think too hard about head cannon. I just like to imagine they "lived happily ever after" and look forward to the next game or chapter in the story.

D'awwww I like your headcanons, especially adopting a baby krogan! omg! Grunt is like the cutest freaking thing EVER! I remember nearly having a panic attack when we got to see him again in ME3, he is my favorite krogan of all. I seriously nearly died when I thought he wasn't coming back fighting the rachni.....nearly killed me.  I him.

My inquisitor ... hopefully male PCs will not have to be beefcakes again. If so, I will make a small-to-medium-sized fella with long-ish dark hair (chin length hair... again, if we have the option) or ponytail of some sort (if it looks natural).

If we have to make a beefcake, then I'll just make a really hot guy ... short blond hair, blue or gray eyes. Purposefully not my favorite type "personally" because he's my character so I can't be too into him

I have to agree though I tend to make characters look like myself when playing the first playthrough, but with ME I can't make characters look good LOL ME3's default was probably the best looking female default to date, but I don't like red hair. *braces for the backslash* And all the male guys I make are horrible looking lol so I just stick with default. DA is a little different though, I can make better looking characters with Mods. Thank goodness for mods!
