hey guys i was just scrolling around on tumblr and i found this post here. i'm pretty sure we know most/all of this stuff but some things listed here i didn't know so i'm just doing to paste what it said (exactly what it said i didn't add anything in):

Plot

• The Inquisition is a large part of the plot. You will be able to establish your characters relationship with it at the beginning of the game. (x) presumably that will be in the background you choose
• Being part of the Inquisition will not force you to be pro templar (x)
• Nor will you be forced to serve the chantry or express belief in the maker (x)

Characters

• DA3 will feature a human protagonist. You will be able to choose a background but unlike Origins you won’t play through it. (x)
• The protagonist cannot be a member of the Amell family (x)
• Sandal will probably reappear (x)
• As will Cullen (x)
• And Flemeth, maybe (?) i can’t help but wonder if ‘little’ was meant to be a hint, of course i may just be paranoid from the lack of information
• Armor customisation will work a little differently than both DA:O and DA2. You will be able to give them gear which will change to fit their own style (x) (x) (x)
• Sounds like all romances will be bisexual again (?)

Setting

• Orlais will probably be the main setting (x) Somewhere… French!
• The player will have a castle to manage (x)
• Elves will be redesigned again and will be somewhere between DA:O and DA2 elves (x)
• There will be at least one new type of demon (x)
• DA3 may contain a more central location for your companions. (x) that’ll be the aformentioned castle
• We may visit Tevinter (?) (?) (?) this is pretty much just speculation on my part

Gameplay

• The game will run on an engine derived from Frostbite 2 (x)
• DA3 may feature more non-violent solutions to quests (x)
• The dialogue wheel is back as is paraphrasing (x)
• Random barking will be reduced but reactive barks will remain (x)
• Friendship/Rivraly will work a little differently. It won’t work as a gate to conversations (x)
• There will be some form of multiplayer (x)
• There will be fewer ‘trash fights’ (x)
• Romances with non-followers is highly unlikely (x)
• Romances will be monogamous (x)
• The player may be able to chime in to party dialogue. (x)
• DA3 will feature a much larger map and less reuse of levels (x)
• DA3 will be longer than DA2 (x)
• More class exclusive content (x)
• There will be fewer companion quests but more conversations initiated by the player. (x) (x) like DA:O then
• Specialisations will be limited to one per character but they will have more impact on the story (x)
• Pausing during cut scenes is currently a stretch goal and thus unlikely to appear in game (x)

Other

• DA3 will not be revealed at PAX East (x) although maybe some small info may be given
• They’re working on a way for players to ‘share’ their stories (x)
• The female protagonist will feature in the marketing (x)
• There is currently no plan for a toolset (x)

Ah, interesting! I actually hadn't seen this, and I love all the niblets of information about the companions and the like!

Hmm... just for giggles...

• The protagonist cannot be a member of the Amell family (x)

I'm really glad the Amell family isn't being made into some epic family line. I have my Amell as my canon, just for the fun of cousins, but I wouldn't want that to be made into a 'thing'.

• And Flemeth, maybe (?) i can’t help but wonder if ‘little’ was meant to be a hint, of course i may just be paranoid from the lack of information

Flemeth! Flemeth! Flemeth!

• We may visit Tevinter (?) (?) (?) this is pretty much just speculation on my part

Man I hope we get to learn more about Trevinter! But at the same time, I wonder if it shouldn't be left to it's own game. There seems to be SO MUCH about Trevinter to learn.

• Random barking will be reduced but reactive barks will remain.

Dog for DA3 -- semi-confirmed rumour?

I wish I could play SWTOR or one of the older BioWare games like KOTOR or BG etc. unfortunately my crappy computer can't even handle the old stuff lol. I do have a bunch if games for my Xbox 360 and PS3, but I'm craving BioWare games currently.

You can play KOTOR on the Xbox 360. It is in the original Xbox format. I found a copy of it by chance in CEX in my home town (you can also buy games online).  It plays fine on the 360.  You can also play the Jade Empire too.  Here is a list of compatible original Xbox games for the 360

On the subject of bisexual companions, I really hope they don't make every companion like that. To me, it kills personality. Bioware characters are so unique and defined.  I understand they want their fans to be able to romance who they want but it just seems...unrealistic. I liked how I couldn't romance Aveline regardless how much I tried. We just kept friendship. You shouldn't be able to romance everyone. Can't say I dislike playing a male **** character but drawing parallels to our world, it's not happening. lol

*edit*

Awww, that's censored? Lola can get away with British slang but I can't say that? :(

I think that list just means the romance options will be bi. Not every single companion is romanceable. Dragon Age seems to have only four romance options, and I can't see them adding more than that for DA:I. In fact I THINK I remember DG saying that Dragon Age will never have the number of romance options Mass Effect does. Which... was a helluva lot. For dude Sheps, anyway.

Sexuality is so not a core component of personality. I've written characters who are gay in one universe and straight in another. The character him/herself did not really change. I also write many bi characters; it doesn't make much difference if they're with a man or a woman.

As for real people, again, sexuality doesn't define a person. Gay, straight, bi, or pan, you are who you are, and while you might conform to societal pressure to ACT a certain way because of your sexuality, it's nothing that's biologically ingrained.

But 98% of the BSN can't seem to grasp this concept lol Or the fact that gender and race are the same way. Sigh.

I agree, i mean i'm not a homophobe, i completely support homosexuality/bisexuality/all-those-other-sexualities but it just feels weird to have every romancable companion bisexual, especially if they flirt with you and you can't reject them without getting rivalry.

My male rogue Hawke was a diplomatic character, I planned to have him romance Merrill but when Anders started flirting because I was being nice just confused and kinda angered me because i just gained rivalry when i told him to gtfo.

Pffft, to be honest i think it'll just make me feel better if i make a headcanon that the romance options are just PC-sexual

Oh, my dear, do explain to me how this situaiton is not "real."

You know, in real life, if you are very nice to someone who has a crush on you, they just might try to hit on you. This might surprise you because you had no idea they felt this way about you. When you tell them you don't feel the same way, this hurts their feelings, and they don't feel too positively about you for awhile.

Also note that sex/gender doesn't really figure into this scenario, so your Hawke's gender is a non-issue when it comes to the Anders situation so many people complain about.

You've not heard of pansexual?  It's something I'm still trying to understand and come to terms with; at first I was very like, oh come on, you're either this or you're that, but I'm slowly shedding my lingering bigotry and accepting that pansexual is a "thing" ... even if I still don't understand wth people are talking about when they say they're pansexual lol

IMO, the romances in game are optional and the rivalry you recieve upon rejecting someone's advances are pretty minimal. The points lost were easily recovered and not an issue for me.

LMAO! I thought you were talking about a literal "Pan" as in the goat/man in Greek mythology. Derp! My head didn't even go there. However, I have googled and now have an idea of your meaning.

I don't think Deuce meant to bring up the bi debate, but rather hoped that there would be characters that still turned you down? Like how Aveline and Varric do, even though you can flirt with them? That was how I chose to read it, anyway. I could be totally wrong on that...

As for the bi debate... I can become very, very, very angry over this topic, so I'm just going to say that my thoughts are in line with Moto's and  hold my tongue. I know myself well enough to know that I can get nasty aggressive with this. I guess you could say I have prejudices against prejudices. :?

Hear, hear! No need to rehash.
I didn't mind the turn down from Aveline or Varric. I just wish it was because I didn't play my cards right and not because it was a no win situation.
I hope Cullen gets to be a full fledged LI this go round and not unattainable.

I can never not flirt with Aveline lol Just how oblivious she is lol "Oh Hawke, you're so sweet!" And also I'm usually flirting with my LI standing right there, and they're either equally oblivious or they're just taking it. It cracks me up!

My canon Hawke is super flirtatious, so he pretty much flirted with everyone -- though he was loyal to Anders. Still, making Anders defensive and jealous was great. Poor Talis and Zevran, though. I'm sure they wished they didn't have a possessed vengeful mage giving them the stink eye.

I didn't mean to sound like a douchebag, if i did then I'm sorry, i didn't want to turn this into a debate, i'm just really crappy at choosing my words so if i ever offend/anger any of you then i apologise in advance. I haven't talked to anyone irl for a while because of my agoraphobia so i've clearly gotten more insensitive and oblivious (is that even the right word to use? asdfghjkl) when it comes to these things.

don't get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing in the DA franchise that has pissed me off, annoyed me - yes a little bit, but i really do love the games and i'm not the type who will stop playing just because they do things i don't like. I've noticed that in this thread i've been implying that i hate a lot of things in the DA games - I want to clear up that i definitely don't hate anything in the games nor do i think i will in the future.

and i wasn't necessarily saying it wasn't a "real" scenario, again that's just my crappy choice of words, i don't really know how to say what i meant without making it sound worse.

Again, I'm sorry for anything offensive I might have said, just bear with me until i get the hang of wording things properly, please

Edit: oh, also, the PC-sexual thing was just a joke-- clearly not a very good one .___.

If you follow the links (the (x) in the master post on Tumblr dwarftotty.tumblr.com/post/45695148227/dragon-age-3-info-rumours-masterpost ) everything is sourced. The fem prot was mentioned on Twitter and we also got questions about it from Nordic community manager. The fem prot in marketing was something me and some friends have been going on about for ages. Loved what they did with fem Shep, but now that should not be used as a marketing point in it self. It should not be a big deal using fem prot for marketing. They should not get goodwill for doing stuff that they should do anyway. It should be normal.

Well there is a BSN post floating around like this that the devs have confirmed isn't wholly correct ( I don't know in what way, however...), but I haven't gone through this one line by line. The original tumblr post has links to the dev posts which is helpful, so that's why I asked.

Incidentally, on the female protagonist one, I think it was Mark Darrah who said that it was their goal to include one in the marketing.

Yes, this was my point. Without the original link to the tumblr post, we don't have the source links for the individual information. There's  been a lot of discussion about all of this... and inevitably some of it is also speculation and interpretation, even with links to dev posts. So it's good to keep the sources to the dev's actual words instead of unsourced rumors abounding (like the whole "they'll give us news in the Spring!" nonsense! LOL).  /end scientist rant on the importance of citations  :D

(edit: for example, the PAX panel is sourced for there being a limit to one specialization, but infact, MLaw said it was a possibility...)

I pretty much agree with this.  I went on a fan fiction board the other day where someone said they couldn't wait "To write Cullen with a dick in his *SS* :?

She went on to blather how as a straight person, she figures she's promoting LGTB acceptance by slashing every character and wrote on how she feels sorry for straight people.

But then somebody called her on dislike on femslash
