Yeah, I don't think it'll look as realistic as BF4 because that's obviously supposed to look like "real life" whereas Dragon Age games are supposed to be fantasy and have a distinct art style.

Exactly! But also you can cram so many computations in this thing so there's going to be room for LOTS of stuff on all kinds of levels. Sound, light, animation, world and all kinds of elements in the world. Then gameplay, fighting, rules, etc (this is super dummed down btw). Great potential!  

Edit: OMG WAR! LARGE SCALE BATTLEFIELD WITH HORSES AND DRAGONS AND LOADS OF NPCs!

So, this is a little bit random. I just finished Tomb Raider, and they did a cute thing with the credits. They thanked me for playing the game (!) and then had pictures of all the devs, smiling proudly at me. It was a nice touch, so I actually found myself watching.

But one thing that was interesting... I mean, we hear so often that the video game industry is male dominated, but BOY HOWDY! After screens and screens of names... dozens and dozens and dozens of smiling people, the number of women I could probably count on one hand... maybe starting on the next one. It was more striking for some reason seeing it visually, and seeing dude after dude after dude. Wow. And, I thought the physical sciences were bad.

So, all you ladies who have flirted with going into game design, GO FOR IT! You're needed. LOL

Hmm it is a Japanese game though, yes? Sadly they just have a smaller female workforce (percentage wise) than we do. Lots of women actually quit working once they get married (or never work in the first place). But I'm sure it has an English distributer plus I have a feeling the lack of female names would be similar on an Western credits roll ... I wonder how BW compares?!

iirc MMG, while Eidos was fairly recently acquired by Square Enix, I don't think the Japanese have much influence over who was hired to work on Tomb Raider. Granted, this is coming from someone who's played many games by Squaresoft and Enix, but not too many by Eidos.

edit: Of course, I'm sure you're right about the ratio being similar. Except in the case of Bioware, probably

Were you offended at any parts in Tomb Raider? I keep seeing all these people saying those devs have misogyny but I personally think they're just looking for attention. Sure, Lara takes a major beating through that game but she's a champ. How would that be any different than a male in that situation?

I'm on it!  Did you see my (very) rough model of Fox McCloud from Star Fox? He still needs to be cleaned up, textured, and he needs a skeleton. But I've come a long way from only being able to make a solar system and wine glasses!!! Can't wait for my next semester, when I actually get to start making some playable games

OMG You guys. My current Hawke is such a badass lol I think I'm in love. I gave him an aggressive personality (which I've never done before). He's sweet to his loved ones, but when he gets mad, he blows a gasket. And lots of stuff makes him mad. Just now the rock wrath offered him a deal, and he was all, "I'll give you my answer," and BOOM! Punches it in the FACE! 8D

Apologies to anyone who's played aggro!Hawke before; I'm just having a ball over here lol

I always play bro heroes in any game and thought I should try fem. But I had a problem with the VA for femHawke until I tried to go all out aggressive and direct. She is awesome VA in that tone.  
Did not like MaleHawkes VA in that tone. I got scared. He was perfect as sarcastic though.
