Yeah, it was nice to see him finally react. Earlier, when Meredith first arrives at the Gallows, he doesn't even bat an eye when Mer says that Hawke is going to meet the same fate as the mages. It was funny trying to write those scenes to reflect his inner thinking when his expressions (or lack thereof) are probably just game resource limitations. LOLLolaLei wrote...
One thing I did notice, is that during the scene where Meredith starts to bollock Hawke, even before she mentions planning to kill them the camera pans in on Cullen as she's talking and he's pulling an expression that (I think) is him realising that what Meredith is ranting about is wrong.

LOL Those glitches are so extreme, tho, I'd tell Lola to uninstall some mods if I didn't know she was on xbox!Narcia_ wrote...

So I'm onto the final stage of my DA2 canon playthrough to be imported into DA3 and so far it's been riddled with hilarious glitches! First off Carver got stuck in mid-air for the entire Orsino monster battle, then he ran backwards around the room and Isabela fell off the screen.
Sounds like ridiculous fun! Is your canon playthrough an import from DA:O? Did it recognize all your choices? I could never get DA2 to recognize warden Alistair's relationship with my warden
I do look forward to them fixing the import issues for DA3! /crosses fingrs

It's a DA:O import, but it didn't recognise my Warden's relationship with Warden Alistair, the codex tells me I killed Connor when I actually let him live and I didn't get the extra bit of text in Cullen's codex about the gossip going around that he was in love with the mage Warden, despite the fact that I always get the scene where he remembers Amell. Hopefully they'll fix all that in DA3!

I hope they fix that gormless lack of reaction in DA3, most of the time they don't bat an eyelid until it's their time to talk.

Also, during the battle against Orsino monster I think all the mages die (including Alain) because they disappear after you kill the monster... Unless that's a glitch too?
Maybe the other mages died but Alain is a clever bugger; he's probably hiding behind a pillar or something:lol:
Here's hoping!
I had my Hawke follow him and fight right next to him against the Templars to make sure he didn't die, and he walked off to the side and stood with the others as Orsino went off in a blind panic and demonised himself, but then all the mages disappeared and it was just Hawke and his companions battling Orsino. Alain and the other mages never reappeared afterwards, so I dunno if they died or what.

I know a lot of people don't like having a voiced protagonist, but I definitely prefer it because your protagonist ends up with just as much personality as the companions and characters themselves. Obviously I love my Warden, but I think it would've been cool to have had her voiced.
I'm surprised how much DA2 grew on me, especially considering I really wasn't keen when I first played it. I'm totally not worried about how DA3 will turn out because I know I'll enjoy it even if it is more like DA2 than DA:O.

"You may find it funny, but I read it while researching romance. I wanted to be prepared for doing romance cinematics in DA3. I have gone through about 60 books and movies. I want to be able to get the sensual romantic experience in DA3 just right."

After reading that tweet about the romances, I'm hoping for something special now. Maybe we really will get romance scenes that feel special and tailored to each individual love interest this time?
That'd be so great! It's nice to hear they're working hard and doing the research. Imo, getting to sexy time asap isn't really the romantic ideal. Just make me love the characters as people. Don't rush into these things. lol

I was just thinking the same thing as I read this. I am too! Yay... I still think the Inquisition sounds sinister, but I like the notion of being the Inquisitor. It sounds imposing and bad@ss.LolaLei wrote...

After that I made my way out of the Gallows and stumbled upon this:
Mages and Templars praying together. They stayed like that for a good 5 minutes until they realised they were supposed to be fighting me LOL. So then I make my way outside to the courtyard where Cullen saves my arse, but the Gallows hasn't loaded probably so they look like they're all battling to the death in the snow... It's actually rather pretty. I'm just gonna suspend belief and presume it was Winter when sh!t got real!

I saw that scene before (the mages and templars praying) I was like "Aww, that's kinda sweet" then everyone turned into demons

Jonathan Perry: "We're not just re-skinning BF4 with DA3 assets, that's ridiculous. We are building all the BioWare RPG systems into Frostbite 3."
Ryan Loe: "We kind of had to. No way to outshine BF4 if were just reskinning their stuff."
