I'd presume we'd see a lot of NPC Orlesian's when we're in Orlais lol. I think we'll probably have at least one Orlesian companion, if the protagonist him/herself isn't Orlesian.

LOL they'll think at least one of the companions is a turnip, I'm sure! It could actually be kinda fun being an Orlesian protagonist, especially if we refuse to wear the masks or if we aren't nobility lol.

This sucks, now that I've finished my canon DA2 import I really wanna play another BioWare game, but all the ones I own I've played to death lol. I can't bring myself to play ME3 again and I don't wanna touch DA:O or DA2 again until I've got them on PC where I can mod them.

I'm gonna attempt to do the second story in The Witcher 2, but none of my games are really grabbing me at the moment.

Hmm...have you tried Tomb Raider, or Resident Evil? If you're xbox account was gold, I'd suggest we play Minecraft together, but yea  I've got so many of those trial things, but it only works w/ new accounts <_<

I always tend to fall back on The Sims 3 when I get really bored of some of the games I have. Somehow, f*cking with little pixelated peoples lives just makes me happy inside

I'm too skint to get any new games currently, plus I still have uncharted 2 and 3 that I haven't even touched yet lol.

If only they'd give us some DA3 news or something, I'm bored out of my skull.

I know what you mean  ...right now, I'm going through the ME trilogy again, trying to keep myself occupied. 

You could always watch me livestream the exploits of Sir Dudemanguy, screwing his way across Fereldan and beyond

It is a bit concerning, but maybe it's like the Stolen Throne and will come afterwards. I bet it's going to just be there to provide exposition on a number of characters like ST did with Loghain, make us think a bit differently about the characters we're fighting. For some it might cement our hatred, for others it might make you think again. Either way it'll be cool to read from a different writer, not that I don't like David's because his books have been awesome, but I hear Patrick is a very good writer.

I wonder if Alistair will show up in this one? Probably not. Hopefully not. I like the fact that Celene's lover is a female Elf, I always imagined that she'd have a female lover! 

You could be right about showing us a different side to certain characters etc, perhaps it'll come out after DA3 for that reason, so that we can form our opinions in-game first and then have our minds changed later via the book. Perhaps the novel is also to serve as a way for us to experience the civil war because we might not be getting too involved in it in DA3? What with the mage/templar thing and the bigger threat, the civil war probably won't get much of a showcase, thus this story being made?

It's pretty weird that I'm not even concerned about the release date at this point. The only thing driving me insane is the lack of info and pictures/trailers to keep my interests peaked.

I want this game to just be mindblowingly amazing, so if that takes them until 2014 then I'm cool with it, so long as they are really going above and beyond to make DA3 the best it can be (which I'm sure they are!)

Yeah, I don't mind the game taking ages to actually be released, but I don't wanna be sitting here in the dark with no info for the majority of its development time because I'll end up completely losing interest in the thing.

OMG!!!!! That looks SO awesome! Celene has sounded like a fascinating character, and the snippets in WoT have sounded intriguing.  It does sound like companion material. I mean, the civil war was just starting during Asunder, so I don't think I'd want to spoiled about DA3.

I love the freaky hands implying all the players involved. And, how cool that her handmaiden and lover is also her spy master.

I was also struck by this sentence: "As the Circle fails and chaos looms, Gaspard begins to doubt that
Celene’s diplomatic approach to the mage problem or the elven uprisings
will keep the empire safe. "  Could this suggest that she has diplomatic relations with Fiona et al. post-Asunder? I keep trying to imagine what the heck the mages are doing out in the boonies after the fall of the Circles.

Also, wow, elf uprising along with everything else?? The sh!t really has hit the fan in Thedas...
