It appears to be a bout ELVESSSSSSSSSSS!!!! 8D I'm quite excited! I'm curious to know more about this Briala. I'm assuming she is an elf?!
Seems like it, it did say "her" people in refrence to the elves, though she could be a half-elf for all I know
I dunno guys I'm super excited about this book, even if it comes out afterwards. I LOVE Orlesian culture, as you all know

OMFG!!!! Guys! Have you seen this?!

I knew she'd be blonde!
OMG!!!!! That looks SO awesome! Celene has sounded like a fascinating character, and the snippets in WoT have sounded intriguing. It does sound like companion material. I mean, the civil war was just starting during Asunder, so I don't think I'd want to spoiled about DA3.
I love the freaky hands implying all the players involved. And, how cool that her handmaiden and lover is also her spy master.
I was also struck by this sentence: "As the Circle fails and chaos looms, Gaspard begins to doubt that
Celene’s diplomatic approach to the mage problem or the elven uprisings
will keep the empire safe. " Could this suggest that she has diplomatic relations with Fiona et al. post-Asunder? I keep trying to imagine what the heck the mages are doing out in the boonies after the fall of the Circles.
Also, wow, elf uprising along with everything else?? The sh!t really has hit the fan in Thedas...
At least in Orlais it has.
I think we have some side plots there. Orlesian Civil War, Elven Rebellion...Grey Warden Shenanigans and maybe Kal-Sharok dwarves?

I doubt Sera would be interested. Her description says she only cares about herself and her network of rogues, so I don't think the Elves plight would bother her since she doesn't live like one. She sounds like one of those peoples who has no sympathy for someone who can't help themselves.

Something like that could turn into an interesting 'questioning beliefs' quest, that eventually she cares...?LolaLei wrote...

An elf subplot would be very interesting. Gosh, so much conflict!! I do wonder if it's just the elves in Orlais, or elsewhere as well. Do you think the alienages are different there from Ferelden?

Yeah you're right...I guess I meant from a, "I don't care, but now I care, but I don't care...thing." sort of like how Fenris and Zevran acted.

This awesome elf sub-plot is making me sad though because we probably won't have a male elf LI and we can't be an elf ourselves. Bah.
Who have Sera
Geez there is so much wrong with this sentence..........

I'm not sure if I should go sarcastic or aggressive with him. I heard that the male voice is pretty good when you play him as sarcastic.

Definitely go sarcastic, you'll totally fall in love with him. I absolutely adore my sarcastic male Hawke!

I'm glad that you are all finally getting lady boners from MHawke 8D lol I just love playing him. Agree with Lola; sarcastic is the best, especially if this is your first and perhaps last MHawke playthrough. For FHawke, sarcastic is always great, but for some reason I played her diplomatic. It was a nice contrast to Isabela's feistiness. Hawke just sort of patiently put up with her g/f's snarky mouth lol
I just don't enjoy playing as female Hawke, her voice acting does nothing for me. Sarcastic male Hawke just makes the whole game that much more fun in my opinion.

Funny, I played my f!Hawke's mostly diplomatic, as well, possibly because I more easily role played as them that way. For my m!Hawke, yeah, well, I pretty much just stared at him dreamily like he was his own character. LOL

Lol you know I actually meant it in a....you have Sera, but she's not a man so it's obviously not the same as if you had had a male elf. Didn't mean any innuendos though

I hope I'm not gonna really dislike this new protagonist's female voice, I wouldn't mind having both a male and female Inquisitor this time round, like I did with my Shepards.
I wonder who they'll use? I hope they're awesome as well.
