Oh, c'mon! You know that fur stole is just crying out to be dyed pink!

LMVAO I just had a thought where in the story someone really close to the protagonist dies and the entire party shows up in bright pink lol

Sera: Maybe we should have changed?

Cullen *sassy* Nonsense!

This is a must! LOL

Ahem, for reference...  :innocent:

Some dude in one of the DA3 threads just had a really interesting idea for the whole "online experience" EA have added to all their games:

"I read somewhere that all new EA games have to have an online component and most of the thoughts on this board relating to it seem to suggest that multiplayer in NOT the way to go. So here is another idea:

Every week a new notice goes up on the Chanters board, Mage's Collective bag or Favours for interested parties barkeep altering you to new mission to complete over the week, whether that's killing bandits threatening the village, stealing documents from a bard or just getting ingredients for a pie. Complete the task and get some cash, or an new bit of loot, or a decoration for your castle."

Your thoughts?

Sorta like mini-DLCs. I like it!! That would be cool. I sorta missed the fact that the Chanter's Board in Kirkwall was always empty. :(

Yeah, they would mostly be free like the ME3 multiplayer was but you'd be able to buy and upgrade stuff with the released packs/microtransactions etc. They could even set online competitions within the quests like who kills the most enemies in a set time or how quickly said quest is completed etc which would be recorded and rewarded where appropriate.

Oh man... can you imagine? Unleashing the Cullen thread on MP in DA3. Could I be any more excited??

So we will have to be online all the time to play DA3? That sucks because sometimes my internet goes out a lot ... and that's the whole reason I bought the xbox in the first place!!

Naw, you'd still be able to play it offline, I was able to play Dead Space 3 without an internet connection lol. Basically it just means that either multiplayer or some sort of online transaction/interaction thing will be included in the game, like microtransaction and stuff like that.

What I wouldn't mind seeing during the loading screen/start screen is little updates telling me the percentage of people that made what choice in their DA3 playthrough, kinda like it does in Catherine and The Walking Dead game. It would only show you the results of choices made up as far as you've played though, in order not to give us any spoilers.

I'd like a Cerberus Network kind of thing where you hear rumors or get lore/codex things every other day or something

That would work too. Like, perhaps on the start screen a scroll of some sorts would pop up with new info about Thedas in general and multiplayer events occuring or whatever.

Yeah, it would maybe mention things going on in the background that we'd never see either and then make mention of stuff from our "agents"

Yeah, kinda like the Alliance network thingy but with our "spies" etc reporting back.

Ooooo, ok here's an idea for the start screen thing. You have the option to click on "extras" or "news" and it takes you to a writing desk style screen (like the start screen in ME3 with Shepard's computer, a cup of coffee and paperwork). The desk has scrolls and a map of Thedas strewn across it with an alchemy kit, a bottle/jug of ale and unused ruins sitting on top. You can click on certain items on the desk and each one would bring up a different thing. For example, clicking on the alchemy kit brings up the microtransaction options in which you could buy the dlc and packs etc, if you click on the paper work then a big scroll opens up with all the latest details about multiplayer events, dlc and info about whats occuring in Thedas currently appears on it with some sort of important red wax seal at the bottom and so on.

Kinda like this, but messier and more stylised. (Just pretend that blue orb is a sending stone LOL):

That'd be cool if the main menu was like that so we could access stuff like our inventory, alchemical reagents, scouting reports, etc. I love interactive screens like that.

Yeah, just like that! So if you clicked on the map strewn on the desk then it would show you how many areas you've already covered, what percentage of the game you're currently at, how many achievements you still have to get etc.

The idea of that interactive screen would be to look like it's the desk in your room within the castle you aquired, like Hawke's desk where he/she gets her quests from. The desk itself would be in-game too, but the interactive screen would just be a close-up version to make things feel a little more engaging and interesting when you're bumming around on the main menu prior to loading up the game.

Oh cool, thanks for clarifying :D So many rumors fly around lately, and I'm not always savvy enough to figure out what's what. I mean I'm not a dummy, but I'm new to the online gaming world so some of the lingo gets lost on me *cry*

I honestly would not like this (maybe it could be optional?) because my game is like my own personal story/experience. I don't want to think about other people when I'm playing!! lol

 I like this idea, and that pic/example, but what version of ME3 were you playing?? I just saw the picture of like Earth or something when I start the game up. Not a desk....

It's on the start screen, where you pick from the load game, new game, extras etc. The picture is of Shepard's console and there's a coffee cup and paperwork.
