If you look at the bottom of the letter there's a picture of the Circle from the DA2 artsy intro/outro. I think we can safely presume that the mage/templar issue is gonna be a big deal, even if it isn't the "big bad".

If it's Ostagar, then I wonder why they used it as a picture for the DA3 thing. I doubt we'd be returning there, or even to Ferelden for that matter.

Yeah, I know that. As I said earlier it's obviously a place holder until they open up the DA3 website etc, but we all presumed that the picture used was to symbolise the Chantry.

I understand your meaning, Lola. They couldn't very well use a shiny new DA3 graphic without potentially revealing too much. And knowing how we all are, we would snatch that ball and run with it even if there's no game on!

You know I was wondering, how many games do you think there will actually be? For some reason I'm thinking four, but there could be five or even six, but idk depends how much more they want to flesh out this game's world.

Thedas is a big area (and we don't know what lies around it), so the possibilities could be endless. However, it would depend on how popular/successful DA3 is I suppose.

I would quite like to go back in time and play a game centred around Duncan in his early days, or even further back finding out about Flemeth's origins. But if they had to do further games I'm sure they will look to the future.

This would be very cool to play! I'd love a Qunari or Varric-centric spin off as well. I do wonder what will happen to the series if DA3 blows. (I'm optimistic though and think it'll be amazing.)

Going to Par Vollen would be cool. It would be nice to go somewhere tropical, learn a bit more about the Qunari culture, plus those people who want a female Qunari would be happy too!

Yeah, I agree with newschmoo, I don't think there's a limit on the number of games other than what they can creatively and financially bear. So long as the games are popular, I'd fully expect to see DA 6, 7 , 10. That's the nice thing about there being no overall story/character arc to give the series a beginning and an end.

On Duncan: The Early Years??? yes, please! It would be cool to see 'prequels' in addition to future continuations. So long as they don't let George Lucas direct them... hur hur hur...

That would've been such a cool alternative to the Leliana DLC they made for Origins. I haven't played it as I don't really like Leliana as a companion, let alone the protagonist of a whole side story, but I just think a lot more people would be interested in his story over hers.

You know it's funny, when I played Leliana's story, I wasn't SO interested in it. I found it kind of confusing to be honest as far as how it fit with the Marjolaine appearance in DA:O. But now that Leliana's become a bigger character (and that fact that Justinia V was in it before she became the Divine...), it actually makes me want to go back and play it! I'd just been thinking about her 'early' years, wondering where she was during DotS and if she was still in Orlais at the time. Anyway... I also think Duncan would be fascinating, esp since he's such a different character in his youth. It would be cool to see him growing into his role as Ferelden's Warden Commander.

If they made the PC the protag but had Duncan's story the focus of the game it'd be fun. Plus you could romance him - woot woot!

And keep Lucas away from DA! He'd make it all wonkerjawed and then sell it to Disney, who would then fire everyone and eat the franchise. Disney = The Blight. lol
