I'd be too sad to romance Duncan, knowing about how he will die and all...Plus there's the whole fatherly vibe from meeting him in Origins that I wouldn't be able to shake.
Eeeew.... ya. When you put it that way, it puts a whole new spin on it.

Some cool stuff in there.
Art designers on designing armor:
"No straps for straps sakes. Straps are cool, but find a reason for them to exist."
"There is a standing rule in concept art department that there will be no bellybuttons in armor."
LOL Bless them!

Third person, pausing,
Openness, exploration.
“Freedom, player agency, nugs. In that order.”

HOLY ****!!! There's a call out to the Cullen fans! Bwahahaha!
Jessica Merizan asks each panelist to name their favorite minor character, and the Tor books editor, Stacy Hill, says:
"I am going to have to go with Cullen, I think. In Origins he’s so freaked by what happens to him. So freaked out. And then you have him in Dragon Age 2 and he’s sitting there actually thinking it through and trying to step back from his experience. And thinking, “You know what? This is actually crazy, and I’m going to be the reasonable guy. I’m going to try and walk that middle road and understand that not all mages are bad and evil and dangerous and terrible. And that there are good people out there, too. So, we have to be moderate as templars.” I like that he’s a minor character who reflects a lot of what’s going on, a lot of the bigger issues in the world, who really changes over the course of two games without having a huge part."
Jessica responds, "He’s got a really fun fandom, too. A lot of passionate fans in the Bioware community. (a panelist in the background says, [finally!]) Yes, yes."

On first person games: I like them. I preferred to play Thief that way but I also like DA too. It's racing games that make me sick to my stomach. =X Which sucks because I love those as well. Now that I think about it, FPS shooters also make my stomach roll but I don't care nearly as much about that as I do being deprived of Mariokart. >=/ If I develop an "allergy" to fighting games or my beloved RPGs, I might just scream. =/

The finally part, I think that was Darrah--not sure, but think. And did he say "finally", or "funny"? It's hard to pick up really. I mean, over the smattering of what sounds to be a gaggle of derisive, cackling brujas in the background.
Also note that when Stacy Hill says "over 2 games", there's this minute halting thing her voice does when she says "2".....

LOL I couldn't quite tell what was said in the background when jessica said we were fun. I thought it was either Laidlaw or Darrah said, "finally!" ? somewhat sarcastically, of course...rapscallioness wrote...
