Ya know, it might be kind of interesting to have a certain bad @ss potion available only if you're a guy with no scruples about killing for an ingredient. Like maybe the only way to craft it is with a human body part.... fresh. Might have to think real hard about whether or not you need that potion.

I'm also wondering what I'd do if I had to choose who lives and who dies between two companions. Like one of those "you can only save one" things. I'm having one of those 'what if' days today. lol

I just finally got to see The Hobbit and I positively cooed when I saw that widdle, sweet face! =D

I also started my first pro-mage PT of DA2... yeah I made pro-mage decisions before but my PC was never balls-to-the-wall "MAGES RUUULE!" before... I have to admit it's more fun when you go all in. Anders seems positively passionate (versus my previous opinion of him being annoying) to me now that my character is as gung-ho as he is. Which is weird because Fenris was never anything more than annoying to me, even in my most zealous pro-Templar playthroughs... o.O

Then I think of Cullen and feel guilty for siding with Anders over him in our discussions....

*sigh* What is happening to me...?

 Edit: I made a few more, nearly identical and put them in the same album.

Oops! Too big. They need to be resized. But when I was making them I was using a pixel size that seemed sufficient for banners.









They're fairly generic but I hope you like them.

So Danny asked me a really interesting question on Twitter that I'd rather answer here since Twitter only has limited space for me to type my answer. 

Basically the question was: What would you do if Cullen (or in Danny's case, Cassandra) was a romanceable companion in DA3, but you ended up liking one of the other companion's personality and romance arcs better (to the extent that I liked Alistair).

Now, this is a tough one. Normally the answer would be simple, I'd just romance whatever companion I liked the best. However, I've been desperate to get Cullen as a companion/LI ever since I found out what happened to him at the end of DA:O and we've all been pretty much campaigning for it for a year (some even longer), so I kinda feel as though my DA3 protagonist belongs to Cullen long before I even know anything about her/him.

So what happens if I play DA3, romance Cullen and think the relationship is nice or lackluster but then discover that companion B is incredibly charming/witty/funny/attractive and his/her romance arc and personality really strikes a chord, like Alistair's and Kaidan's did with me in previous BioWare games? I think I'd have a difficult decision to make, especially considering after several playthroughs of any BioWare game I'll settle on my favourite outcomes and customised protagonist and then do my ultimate run through (to be imported) and delete all the rest, I'll only ever have one ultimate saved file for each BioWare game.

I guess what it all boils down to is what Cullen is like as a companion/LI and if he will romance anyone else if I chose to go with the other companion instead. It sounds stupid but I feel like I owe it to him to give him a happy ending (hur hur) even if it is only temporary, but If he'll romance another companion or npc (if I don't romance him) then at least he wouldn't be completely alone and angsty, so I wouldn't feel quite so bad about it. Although, I do kinda squee a bit when my chosen romance only has eyes for protagonist (like Kaidan, Anders and Alistair... if you ignore the Darkspawn chronicles dlc codex LOL!)

Thanks! I'll have to try that! I just scaled them in Gimp and reposted them to my album. So I've got like 8 similar banners in my Cullen album right now. hahahaha!

It's kind of interesting in my opinion, because I know we're not OMG CULLEN I WILL ROMANCE YOU EVEN THOUGH YOUR STORY SUCKS!!!!! kind of people....well maybe that Nikki person:P, but in all seriousness would I romances Cassandra if for instance Sera's story really....connects with me. In SWTOR my Jedi Knight romances Kira because....well she is the only romance for male JK, but she is fun, however later in the story I found out there was this sort of warrior poet and I regret I didn't get to experience that quasi romance. 

Anyway what if Sera or Dorian or whoever just connects with us better than Cullen/Cassandra? Will we be more inclined to romance them because we've been waiting for them for almost over a year?

Well, I do intend to try out the other romances... Or at least experience them via YouTube if Cullen (or whatever companion) really grabs hold my attention, lol.

Admittedly, I don't expect Cullen's romance or story arc to be as in depth as some of the stuff we've come up with in here, simply because the game is about more than just one companion. Also, as much as I'd love for Cullen's inclusion to pack as much punch as Alistair's did for me, I'm doubting that he'll surpass or even come close to Alistair simply because the DA team are doing things differently now, and although they're bringing back investigative conversations, they've not spent 6 years making it like DA:O and they seem to put slightly less emphasis on the companions now that the protagonist is voiced and has a personality of his/her own.

Story is important to me....though I would def still romance him for, you know, science and sh*t
