Heh heh, that would be cool. It reminds me of when Alistair asks you what you *really* think about your companions. We get a slight taste of that from Wilmod's friends, when they talk about the Knight-Captain running off after him, but it's not much.meanieweenie wrote...
You know what would be cool... if we got to pick up rumors in the pubs by eavesdropping or accidentally overhearing a conversation rather than only getting it from the stupid bartender. For instance, I would've liked to have heard what the recruits really thought of their lovely knight captain.

It would help explain the bevy of female templars surrounding him at the end of the game...
FemTemplar A: Oh sweet Andraste, I walked in on the Knight-Captain during sword practice this morning.
FemTemplar B: You lucky sneak! Did he have his armor off again?
FemTemplar A: Mmm hmm...

And eavesdropping femTemplar C chimes in with: "I'd love to see his moves... and his sword."

i'm sure the thought totally helps one's paranoia about mages.

I still like Lola's explanation, though whenever that happens to me I'm kneeling and I stand up to adjust lol.

I hope abominations in DA3 are a bit more scary and strong as per the codex entry. and less popping up everywhere lol

I hope both abominations and demons are dangerous in DA3 to be honest. I mean Dawn of the Seeker showed how dangerous a Pride Demon should be to normal people, so while to a party of adventurers it would be less stressful, it should still be mini-boss dangerous.
I like how difficult the High Dragons have been as of late, but more monsters like that would be nice.

LOL, that would've been awesome! I wonder if they'd throw in something like that as a joke about his fans? BioWare games love throwing in fan nods, jokes and East Eggs!
You never know, maybe if we find him leading a bunch of still Divine-loyal Templars (or ex-Templars) then they'll make a few comments. Kinda like in ME3 when you find Jack with her biotic students and they start gossiping and various things, lol.

Talking about gossips, it would be good that if you are loitering around eavesdropping on 'private' conversations that they comment on it, like they did in that bar on Illium in ME2. I found that quite amusing!

Yeah, that would be interesting, so long as we aren't given quest via eavesdropping (like they did in ME3). In DA2 you could hear people gossiping and stuff but usually it was about nothing interesting.
Learning more about what people think of your character and your companions via gossiping nobles etc would be pretty fun, especially if our protagonist's chosen background is going to come into play.

I think it will be an ideal way to learn more about Orlais society.

Orlais would be an ideal place for people gossiping behind their fans. A masked ball would be full of ****y gossiping (particularly if the protagonist is a street rat) and innuendo, I can just see it!

Definitely!
Like, if the protagonist background is from a poor family or an orphan then the nobles could huff and puff about how disgusting it was letting a "common sewer rat" command the Inquisition, or they'd make up a bunch of rubbish about where the Inquisitor come from "I heard that the Inquisitor's family were killed by blood mages" "Really, oh what a scandal! I heard that he/she is a decendant of Andraste herself. Of course, that's got to be rubbish, no decendant of Andraste would wear their hair like that!"

I think the protagonist will put a few noses out of joint, particularly if he/she has the support of the Divine in some way. And if Cullen is of Noble birth and in a romance with the protagonist, then gossip will go into overdrive.
I do think he will be from a noble background, the younger son.

I like the idea of him just being from a non-important background, perhaps even a very poor family or an orphan. I think part of his appeal is that so far he appears to be normal guy that's experienced some extraordinary things and (so far) found the strength to pull through.

I really like his new look, the fur actually is really nice in that picture. I don't like the sword so much, but that's because I like the one he has when he says, "This is templar business stranger".
Does his sword change throughout the game? Is it bad that I never noticed? I'm usually too busy swooning at his face!

No, his sword doesn't stay the same. He has a red one in early acts, and it changes to a black one in Act 3.littlenikki wrote...

Act 3:
Here's a better view of the sword, which I guess is the one in that painting.
