I wouldn't worry about the way they're advertising it; most people who buy video games never step foot in an online forum or read any of these blogs and what not. Those of us who do are the "hardcore" fans and make up a small percentage of the buying public.
And yeah, speaking of bringing down EA and the consequences, did you guys hear about Disney closing down LucasArts and firing EVERYONE?

I think that Peter Moore guy made a huge balls up mentioning the LGBT thing, what's it sounds like he's suggesting is that the majority of gamers are homophobic, which is completely false. Even if that's not what he meant the masses are gonna rip that statement to pieces.
EA need to tell the guy to step away from the keyboard before he does anymore damage to the companies reputation.

Yeah I actually think more HARDCORE gamers (like people who post to BSN) are homophobic than the broad swath of gamers, period. I mean if we just take Americans, the majority of Americans are in favor of gay marriage, so homophobic then general populace is not.
I think he is paying too much attention to the internet, the hardcore fans and so on, and that silly poll is the representative of that. He shouldn't have stooped to answering it, and I agree it was a bad PR move, and the sort of thing that will get retweeted enough that even the regular fans will see it.

I don't think it's real you guys. I know Chris Priestly tweeted the link, but there is no source on the Dorkly website, along with the whole "don't buy our games if you want us to change" thing. Never would the COO of any company "officially" say that.

The most recent post on the EA blog is the "We can do better" article he posted a few days ago. The one that discusses homophobic gamers and addresses that it looked like they were going to win the survey.
The response to the survey is the fake one, from the Dorkly site. Seems like the writers from that site are just trying to create controversy and take advantage of the popularity of the topic.
