Just checked my email and Amazon have now dispatched the book today! They sent one earlier in the day to say I should get it next week! Do you think they receive a few copies at their warehouse and send them willy nilly?!

You would think they would have them in bulk and send them all at the same time.

(It's possibly worth pointing out that Battlefield 4 is said to have a dynamic weather system as part of Frostbite 3)

So, I guess we were right. This pretty much confirms we'll be visiting multiple countries for alliances or whatever. Doesn't necessarily say dynamic weather but it does say we won't be seeing just night/day and sunny weather.

I think Ferelden was always the obvious choice though? I mean I think most expected a Ferelden protagonist right? It's also Mike and he's notorious for using misdirection.

Do you think the protagonist will be Ferelden? Doesn't bother me if they are as I do like Ferelden (my favourite characters are from there). Deuce says we may be doing a lot of travelling. If so, the game's going to be huge!

One of the first things MLaw said about the game was that we would get to see a much bigger chunk of Thedas, and he showed a map with a big circle that included both Orlais and Ferelden. So, we've sort of known for a while. But, they didn't strictly say we would go to every country in that circle, so this is a nice hint.

On being Fereldan? Hmm, I haven't actually seen anything hinting at that aside from our own speculation, since so far we're 2 for 2. Or 2.5 for 3, if you include Awakenings and its Fereldan or Orlesian PC. Still pretty small number statistics to call that a trend. Personally, I hope we're Orlesian. Partially because I think that would awesome. Partially to hear more moaning and wailing about "zat outraaaageous accent." LOL

Instead of picking a race, maybe we will be able to choose if we are from Ferelden or Orlais. And maybe depending on where we are from, will determine our companions and what side of the war we play on or maybe it will change our part in the story....ooooh the ideas I have now!

That would be awesome. Sadly, I doubt they'd record the PC's lines more than twice (male/female) for the whole game, so I imagine we'll be stuck with one accent choice.  I would love the notion that you choose your background, and it affects which side of each conflict you're on (mage v templar, human v. elves, empress celene v gaspard). That would be cool!

Besides, if I choose to be Orlesian, my character would have to look like this guy [/is a bad person]

LOL I would expect most folks to choose Fereldan, given the choice. I wonder what the gameplay stats look like from Awakenings, altho that's a very different choice (import existing character vs. re-roll Orlesian).

I like your Orlesian character (*cackles*) If the protagonist is Orlesian then I want Riordan's VA, cause his voice is lovely.  But you may be right about the VA for Brooks in the Citadel DLC being the female protagonist voice. I think Lola has mentioned the same thing.

That's exactly what I was thinking! It did seem very showcasey for her VO, especially how they had her voice change from kinda ditzy to a very educated British accent. If she isn't the protagonist then she'll definitely be voicing a companion. 

I really liked her voice anyway, so I'm all good with that!

So I liked her character until she went bad lol I thought she would have been a great companion!! Loved her character.

I like this. Honestly I do miss being able to pick races but if they can just give us this type of choice it would probably make me miss the races a little less. It is a great idea!

I like the idea, but that would present a problem with whoever voices the male and female protagonist because they'd either need 4 VO's (2 doing Fereldan accents and 2 doing Orlesian) or 2 VO's that would have to double their lines by doing accents in both a Fereldan accent and an Orlesian accent, which would cost BioWare more money... which would take time/money/resources away from other things that could be used to improve the game.

Hello R2! I'm home home only for a short while. Had to take a day off to get a new phone since my Samsung finally became a paperweight. It still lights up and makes noise but I can't do anything with it! So... I has an iPhone 4. =D Gotta say... I'm LOVIN' DA SMARTPHONE!!!! Sorry I have no Dragon Age input at the moment. XD Busy trying to get chapter 3 of Collide finished so I can post it! Trying not to rush too much though. This is why I want a laptop. hahahaha! My list of toys, I wants them.
