Still, that Qunari wall hanging is pretty awesome. I wonder what it's made out of because it kind of looks like copy paper, which would be insane.

Ok, R2. Here's what it says from the timeline:
<snip>
9:40: Anticipating unrest, the Sun Gates to Val Royeaux are ordered closed for the first time since dragons attacked the city in 9:22 Dragon.
so, Cass is like 40 now? or, late 30's?

Or it could dovetail with it, kinda like how Hawke's story began before the end of the Blight. I'd love to know what Cassandra was doing around then. (so I can stop speculating about it! LOL)LolaLei wrote...
So I guess we can presume that DA3 will happen shortly after Cassandra's visit to Kirkwall.

Danny asked MLaw, who said she wasn't as old as 40. My own guess is mid-thirties. If she was 18 -20 in DotS, she'd be 36-38 in 9:40.rapscallioness wrote...

I bet they decide to make her 15/16 in DotS now, just so that she's younger than 36.

Lola did you see the new survival-horror game Evil Within from the creator of RE? Looks like a mix of Saw and Hellraiser.
I've never heard of it, I'll go have a look.

Ok, I had a look at Evil Within. Looks pretty cool, hopefully it won't be as dull as Resident Evil has become.
Well, the creator left Capcom and formed his own studio because he wasn't happy about where the direction games was going. He wanted to return to survival-horror roots. I agree on RE. Got a free voucher for RE6 on PC and it's just awful. Spiritually, it retains nothing from the previous games except the characters and B.O.W. enemies. Judging it purely as an action game...it's mediocre at best. Makes me sad to see where that franchise is.
Maybe they'll do a reboot like they did the original RE game(which is still the best in the franchise). That iconic first zombie encounter(definitely NSFW)...
Ya'll are making me jealous talking about World of Thedas...

Shinji Mikami? Awesome. He made Sweet Home, Resident Evil was originally supposed to be a remake of that game lol.
... I dunno why I just told you that again, you saw it in my horror game video.

It's making me worry that Cullen might be. Fiona gets rid of him as a baby and he gets put into the Chantries care, flash forward a few years and at 15 he gets put into the Templar Order.... hell, if he is then he might not even realise that he is a Theirin.
HA! That'll suck for Cullen in my playthrough if he is, his brothers been shagging his crush for years!

Now that would be awesome. I'd personally prefer a pure blank slate character with nothing known in his/her background. Almost like a vagabond?
@Lola yea, Shinjii Mikami. The one responsible for the early RE games.

I want a PC like Lola said in her video. Basically someone who starts very low in the chain and has to work his way up. Just something about those PCs that are motivational for me. I wouldn't be adverse to immediately stand in a high authority position but only if it's done right. By that, I mean it directly plays into gameplay. You own a castle, you command armies, you decide what alliances to form, etc.

I think a traveler/Gypsy type of protagonist would be a good blank slate since he/she would have no emotional or personal ties to anywhere or any political opinions etc so, literally, the player could decide what's right for their character as both you and the protagonist learn "on the job".

LOL, great minds! But yeah, someone like that would be pretty cool since you could head canon the characters past, what they did whilst traveling and why/how.

well, that would depend on the baby's momma:lol:
altho, i think it could be quite possible that we'll be a long, lost Theirin and our background choice will reflect how we've been raised.
edit: well, assuming Fiona isn't the mom I guess. I'd have no qualms believing Marric got around. tsk, tsk.

That's good, I've actually always personally supported the factor of Fiona NOT being Alistair's mother. This helps the comics too this way, if the whole Theirin bloodline thing turns out to be important in DA3. Means we've got at least ONE more Theirin bastard running around somewhere.
($5 says it's Cullen xD)
