For those following the new comics, there a preview available of Until We Sleep #2. Hello, Fade... ? Or, something! LOL

Daaaaayum, Isabela is hot as hell in that Qunari outfit!

I like that they added that in actually, there's an Isabela cosplayer that got a lot of sh!t for dressing up as a Qun converted Isabela (she wore that exact outfit), so hopefully that'll shut the haters up now.

My thoughts, exactly! Wow. I didn't know that about the cosplayer, tho. Gosh, that sucks, so would love it if her outfit was designed after that!

Grahh!!! I really need to read the rest of those comics!

Yeah, mine does that with a Warden Alistair too, lol. Don't worry about looking into it, I'm planning on getting the DA games for the PC once I get a new one anyway, plus in DA3 hopefully they will have come up with an import feature that allows you to change things that haven't imported over correctly.

Here's hoping! As much as I love to go back and do new playthroughs of the past games, I hate when it turns into a chore of finishing that game as quickly as possible because I want to get that import into the most recent game. I have to do that now w/ my Cousland PC import. Although this time around I went into the toolset and created a completely new face morph to use for a human female. She came out pretty cute!

Image IPB

On that note, I hadn't realized how much Cousland/Alistair hate there was until I started going on Tumblr  I love all my Alistair romanced females (which is ALL of them) equally! Have a grumpy Alistair for some giggles.

WOAH, look at that face!

What's he angry about??

I've been replaying DAO and DA2 as a DAWeek celebration... but for some reason, my Amell mage import isn't working properly! Cullen's codex entry doesn't include the rumor about his crush on Amell. Sigh.

Welcome, CENIC. Yeah, that sucks; I've  heard that happens a lot. Myself, I used Gib's save generator to get my Amell playthrough... particularly to get the Cullen reminiscence. LOL

I tried using that, but for some reason all my Warden's get recognized as a dwarf, even though I've never chosen a dwarf in the selection part of the generator

D'aww. Hmm, I only used it once, to create an Amell import, but it didn't think I was dwarf as far as I could tell. LOL  I guess there's no silver bullet for imports (*crosses fingers that there IS one for DA3*).

Yea, I went to go talk to Elthina, and when she talks about the Warden she mentions that "even a dwarf could be doing the Maker's will" or something along those lines  I guess it's a common bug for that thing.

Haha  Yea the dialogue changes depending on your race. Just remebered another bug. Unless you bring Nathaniel w/ you during the final battle in Awakening, the import will say he's either dead, or he never joined the Wardens. That one is especially frustrating for me, since I usual like to take Anders, Justice, and Oghren w/ me for that fight.

I didn't see this post, but I have the exact same problem. Cullen will still remember my Amell fondly, but I don't get that extra blurb in his codex about his rumoured crush.

It sounds like a flag that doesn't get imported correctly. The same thing happens w/ a romanced Warden Alistair, who makes a remark that makes it seem like the Warden is dead. I know for PC you can download the Save Editors, and go in and fix it yourself. You might be able to do the same on the xbox using a USB, but I'm not sure if the Editor program would convert and recognize the Xbox files. I know that for Mass Effect you are able to manipulate Xbox files, I can look into the Dragon Age one if you want?

Yeah, mine does that with a Warden Alistair too, lol. Sorry in advance about the formatting errors, my Android phone hates BSN.

I started playing Dragon Age on PS3, and when I imported an Amell Warden, everything worked out. Cullen remembered her, and he had the blurb in his codex. Now, I'm playing on PC... it's kind of strange, that the PC version would have more import errors than the console versions.

Initially, I tried using the Gibbed save generator as well, to save me some Origins playthroughs (I like Origins, but I prefer DA2). But even when I used the save editor to fix the "dwarf" problem, Cullen didn't remember Amell or have the blurb. I ended up purchasing Origins on PC too, just to try and circumvent the import errors.

But I guess there's no way to get around them! I can't find a flag in the save game data that corresponds to Cullen, so I can't even fix it myself. All I can do is hope he remembers Amell next Act (and that when I carry this over to DA3, it transfers properly - if it is at all relevant)

Yeah, the Nate import always bugged me, too. I only ever got his quest when I chose the set origin that ensured he lived. Sad.

Perhaps you always had him in your party in Awakenings? I left him in my fortified Vigil's Keep, so although he lived the import flag thinks he dead because I chose to defend Amaranthine instead. Grr. Annoying, since my Nate crush was late blooming...

My hope for DA3 is that they have a graphic comic or other tool that just let's us choose our world state to import. The import flags in the save games are so frakked at this point it almost seems useless to bother with them (says the non-video-game-dev).

Like they did with the Mass Effect games? I'd prefer them to do like a check list of things we look through and amend after importing the previous two games, if something didn't flag up correctly.

I agree. Give us a choice between a default (for players new to the series, or those who don't care about imports) or a detailed checklist (for hardcore fans who have played both previous games)
If there's a concern about spoiling new players, maybe only make the checklist
available to players who have save files from previous games... it must be easier to check for that than to check for a bunch of flags.

Another idea I like even better, is having a NPC ask the protagonist/player about historical events. If a NPC asks, "Who is the current ruler of Ferelden?" the player can choose to respond with "Alistair" "Anora" "Alistair and Anora" "Anora and the Warden" "Alistair and the Warden" or "I don't know" for new players or players who don't care about imports. The tricky part of implementing this method would be finding a way to make it fit naturally into the story, the way Miranda's interrogation of Shepard at the beginning of ME2 or the Exile's conversation with Atton in KotOR 2 did. Despite that challenge, though, I feel like that would be the ideal solution.

Ooh, I really like this idea. Making it organic within the game... although... LOL that's A LOT of flags to go through. And I would figure they wouldn't want to limit it to just those that matter, so they don't spoil something. Hmm. Still, like it , tho.

Day 32

NPC: *sigh* Alright....when the Hero of Ferelden first came to Denerim, whom did they choose to inform the widow of her husband's passing?

PC: Seriously?  What in the Maker's name do you need to know that for?

NPC: If we don't, then we'll get a bunch of angry letters about how we are ignoring the player's choi-erm I mean...for science.

LOL littlenikki, love that dialogue. Indeed I would hope they wouldn't get that granular...

And, that pic! LMVAO!!! Outstanding! Yup, lovin' this new theme for page 2000. Rock on.

OMG, I just realized I recognize that one. It's a Johanna Lyndsey cover (my mom read A LOT of those). Those covers should be great for photomanips. Lots of totally overthetop historical romance featuring, like this one, THE Fabio! LOL  Oh man... *tears* Fabio as Cullen. littlenikki, you take the cake.
