I've been replaying DAO and DA2 as a DAWeek celebration... but for some reason, my Amell mage import isn't working properly! Cullen's codex entry doesn't include the rumor about his crush on Amell. Sigh.
Welcome, CENIC. Yeah, that sucks; I've heard that happens a lot. Myself, I used Gib's save generator to get my Amell playthrough... particularly to get the Cullen reminiscence. LOL
I tried using that, but for some reason all my Warden's get recognized as a dwarf, even though I've never chosen a dwarf in the selection part of the generator
I didn't see this post, but I have the exact same problem. Cullen will still remember my Amell fondly, but I don't get that extra blurb in his codex about his rumoured crush.
It sounds like a flag that doesn't get imported correctly. The same thing happens w/ a romanced Warden Alistair, who makes a remark that makes it seem like the Warden is dead. I know for PC you can download the Save Editors, and go in and fix it yourself. You might be able to do the same on the xbox using a USB, but I'm not sure if the Editor program would convert and recognize the Xbox files. I know that for Mass Effect you are able to manipulate Xbox files, I can look into the Dragon Age one if you want?
Yeah, mine does that with a Warden Alistair too, lol. Don't worry about looking into it, I'm planning on getting the DA games for the PC once I get a new one anyway, plus in DA3 hopefully they will have come up with an import feature that allows you to change things that haven't imported over correctly.
Sorry in advance about the formatting errors, my Android phone hates BSN.
I started playing Dragon Age on PS3, and when I imported an Amell Warden, everything worked out. Cullen remembered her, and he had the blurb in his codex. Now, I'm playing on PC... it's kind of strange, that the PC version would have more import errors than the console versions.
Initially, I tried using the Gibbed save generator as well, to save me some Origins playthroughs (I like Origins, but I prefer DA2). But even when I used the save editor to fix the "dwarf" problem, Cullen didn't remember Amell or have the blurb. I ended up purchasing Origins on PC too, just to try and circumvent the import errors.
But I guess there's no way to get around them! I can't find a flag in the save game data that corresponds to Cullen, so I can't even fix it myself. All I can do is hope he remembers Amell next Act (and that when I carry this over to DA3, it transfers properly - if it is at all relevant)
