So the very first post in response to this new topic involved a prediction that there would be a lot of Cullen for the next few pages of it.
... I don't think we should let anyone be disappointed, do you?

BUT... regarding any implications for Cullen as a LI ... let's just say that based on the movie, I really doubt the mage dude would show up as a LI for the PC... But, I do think it would be fun to see him again. He was a cutey patootey.
SOOooo many lore questions now though. Grr.
ALSO! Fun fact to know and tell. During some of the DA2 footage they showed during the Bioware studio tour... they show the aftermath of the Meredith battle, when the templars run up, and girly!templar runs to check out Meredith. And... the KNIGHT-CAPTAIN ISN'T CULLEN!! I had to back it up and watch a second time. Makes me wonder now when they decided it would be Cullen. It was the following scene exactly (EDIT: obviously minus the light saber action... this was just the most convenient screenshot...), except Cullen was replaced by some older, grey-haired dude. What the hey??

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Or, they hadn't finish the Cullen model yet. Who knows.LolaLei wrote...
Ooooo, maybe he was a last minute addition cos originally Greg Ellis was supposed to be doing Anders VA? Or perhaps originally that was going to be a teaser clip and they purposely replaced Cullem with some old dude not to spoil things.
Looks like I'm gonns have to check the film and bonus content out.
You know, FWIW, I enjoyed it. Of course, that's probably because I'm now a DA lore hound. So I kept backing it up to hear little snippets here and there.

Lol I'm all over that! Ladies, time to assemble!
LMAO - that was such an Anchorman moment!
You stay classy San Diego, I'm Ron Burgundy?
So I was searching for a good Cullen pic to add to this page and I came across this picture of Paul Walker. Apparently some Cullen fans are shipping him to play Cullen if there was a live-action DA project (which there'll never be on a large enough scale to hire an A-list celeb, but whatever).
The point is, I can kinda see it.

He'd need to look older and maybe a little scruffier. Pop in some amber-colored contacts and we might have a Cullen!

Yeah, it's something I've heard bandied about a lot here that he's a ringer for Cullen. Like in this photomanip (which all that's really changed is Walker's eye color and tattoo ... eerie, eh?).brushyourteeth wrote...

I rather see Cullen in cinematics like the cutscenes, rather than having an actor act as him. I don't like that many if any celebrity and none come even close to looking like him, in my opinion. I'm trying to shut out the image that was just posted in fact lol--no offense.

@Dunquixote, I see what you mean, that no one in real life will ever really be the knight captain. But, I'd still be first line for a live action film...

Plus, Paul walker may need to work on a British accent. Or, look for a new actor who is British. The last thing we want is someone sounding totally American in a movie that's supposed to be set in Medieval Europe counterpart.

Admittedly watching Jeremy Irons ham it up was very entertaining!

I wouldn't mind finding out why people (non-fans & people that aren't bothered either way) think that he is likely to be a companion.

There's definitely a likeness, however I don't actually fancy Paul Walker at all, which is strange because he's a close enough physically to play Cullen.
I'm totally with you there. It's an interesting likeness, but Paul Walker's never done it for me. Maybe because he seems too pretty? cocky? I dunno. The face may be a match but the energy sure doesn't. PW has way too much swagger to pull off Cullen.

Or, how about Henry Cavill? I think he could pull it off if he tried.

Ah, I would love Greg Ellis himself. Not sure if everyone's seen Galagraphia's "Greg Ellis as Cullen" picture.

And, Henry Cavill... swoon! I wonder how important "the hair" would be over "the voice"? I'd bet it would come down to his presence... he'd have to have that calm stoicism with the world weary past.

He does seem like he'd be a bit of a smug bastard lol.
