Y'know what else? After playing DA2 where you can interact with Cullen a fair amount and get his thoughts on certain topics etc, when I return to DA:O and do the mage origin I really want to chat to him more but you can't beyond him stuttering out a few lines of dialogue, it's actually really frustrating!

I swear, if he's a companion/LI in DA3 I'm going to bombard the poor guy with a constant flurry of questions. I'm gonna take him on every single quest and keep him permanently in my active party so that I don't miss a single line of dialogue.

LOL, ME1 is easy to get lost in on those planets.

I wish I could mod my Shepard the way you got to mod your Warden lol He has wonky eyebrows.

Re the Mako missions (there are a few) I use the map a lot and put a marker on what I need to find and sort of go in that direction. I always thrash the Mako and end up going to places I shouldn't or that it can't cope with!

Had to give DA:O a break because I played it for so long that it crashed, lol!

I really don't like the combat on PC, it's like 50% harder even on the lower difficulty settings. I'll get the hang of it though. I've finally mastered the art of talking to Sten without pissing him off, being lore savvy has its perks! Also, Greg Ellis does a terrible Orlesian accent... or at least I think it was supposed to be Orlesian, sounded like Borat. Amazing!

Yea, one of the big downsides to playing on the PC, a LOT more crashing than on the console versions. F5 is the Quicksave option, use it frequently! 

I think playing normal on PC is equal to playing hard on console, so it does take some getting used to. Especially if you aren't used to playing other toolbar PC games like WoW. Glad you're enjoying yourself though! Be sure to come up for air and food every now and then

I've gotta say, having not play DA:O for about two years and going back to it has made me realise how dated the game looks asthetically. It's not the art style or colours, just the general look and stuff.

It's also a lot slower paced than I remembered, but I think it's because I got used to DA2.

Have you tried modding DA2 as well, or waiting until you finish a playthrough of Origins? Not nearly as many mods available for 2, but still some cool stuff.

I haven't got DA2 yet, you can't get it on Steam either, which is a pain in the arse. Once I finish DA:O I'll buy DA2 and play it for the one millionth time.

So in other news, I have a new Skyrim crush: Falk Firebeard 

Like I'm thinking we need next to Cullen in DA3 a manly LI, like a Duncan or Riordan or Maraas type. It would be the ideal juxtaposition next to Cullen, who has a very sweet face and a tenor voice.

Ok, I have a new problem. DA:O keeps crashing every 5 minutes or so.

I have the DA:O Ultimate Edition on Steam and apparently this happens a lot. I tried changing the Affinity in processes, I also turn off frame buffer effects in graphic options like people suggested, but it's still crashing.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Do you have the Dog mod installed, where it lets you summon him as a 5th companion? That one always messed up the game for me.

Whenever that happens in the Sims it's usually due to a faulty mod or too many mods. Uninstall your mods one by one, starting with the most recent...

I have the same issue sometimes, and I bought mine on Origin. I think it's just more an issue w/ the game itself. It usually crashes for me whenever I'm in a mage heavy battle, with lots of spell effects and such slowing down my game. Only thing that works for me is a pull the enemies one by one if possible, and make them follow me to another area for the rest of my party to ambush them.
