Y'know what else? After playing DA2 where you can interact with Cullen a fair amount and get his thoughts on certain topics etc, when I return to DA:O and do the mage origin I really want to chat to him more but you can't beyond him stuttering out a few lines of dialogue, it's actually really frustrating!

I swear, if he's a companion/LI in DA3 I'm going to bombard the poor guy with a constant flurry of questions. I'm gonna take him on every single quest and keep him permanently in my active party so that I don't miss a single line of dialogue.

I feel the same way! And certainly if Cullen is a companion/LI in DA3, he's always gonna be with me :wizard:

You know what will truly suck? Cullen's in our party, he's the LI and plays a major role in the very best quest line ever.... and he dies if you take him in said quest. Oh, and the only time he says "I love you" is during that specific quest. Image IPB

I am trying to brace myself for an ultimate heartache. That way if it turns out to be 'not so bad', I'll be relieved and pleasantly surprised. lol

Aaah! *covers eyes* No, that must not happen! <_< :crying: I can't even predict the amount of sobbing and fist pounding that will occur should something like that happen :crying:...still, there is a certain logic to expecting the very worst I guess, that way, it probably won't be as bad as you imagine or at least you'll be somewhat prepared. Still, I'm hoping for at least the chance for a happy ending <3

Fixed it, but now I gave another problem. Alistair hasn't given me the rose. He's at +55 and I have the option to kiss him, which I haven't done yet because I'm waiting for him to do it first. I'm just about to go to Redcliff. I want my present, dammit!

His approval will jack up once you give him his mom's amulet from Eamon's desk, right? I always waited for him to make the first move too.

I want to see your shiny new Warden too. Post a pic when you get a chance!

Sometimes I like to play shy characters... DA makes that hard though. I hope our DA3 protag has the option to be a bit hesitant about relationships. And gives us at least one assertive male and female LI. Yeah Anders and Isabela were assertive, but Hawke was assertive right back. Which had its fun in the sun, but still, I want something different ^^

I don't see Cullen being the assertive one though... I think that would take away some of his charm.

What about straight from BSN here? Does your new warden show up under the pic options to change in your profile? (Don't know how that works with mods.) And I think Print Screen will take your screen shots. I've never done it though. Actually, I'm probably the worst person to listen to for instructions on anything. lol

That's weird. Have you done Redcliff yet? (I usually do that first before anything else.) Maybe you bumped up your approval too fast. You're not in the friend zone are you? Maybe he's just not over my Warden yet. lol

Yeah, I've done Redcliff. I did give him a present really early on, but it wasn't one of those cheat gifts and it only made it jump up by about 5. Definitely wasn't friend zoned. Maybe I done something in the wrong order? I done Lothering, moved onto Denerim, done some Chantry Board quests then moved onto Redcliff, saved the place and got inside the castle, gave him his mother amulet.

Usually he'll give my Warden the rose just after Lothering.

Either way, I've deleted the play-through now since it was plagued with a bunch of glitches. I'll have to look through my mod files and work out what was causing all the weird little glitches.

Even some of the banter regarding their relationship triggered at the wrong time, like he was still in the early phases of "interested" on the bar and Morrigan asks him what he would have to do if he had to choose between saving the Warden's or saving his love and I was like wtf!

It's weird, that whole romance played out far too quickly, even though I only used one gift. It felt like it skipped through all the good bits, like literally I was joking with him about how I thought he was cute, then I went back to camp and it said I had the option to try and kiss him, even though he was barely into the interested scale of the friendship bar.

Hell knows how I managed to balls that one up, LOL!

That sucks that you had to delete your playthrough :(

I'm still playing ME1 and was trying to figure out why I wanted to hug this C-Sec detective. Turns out he has Fenris' voice, haha. Any other DA people in ME? I'm sure if Ellis were in it someone would have mentioned it by now.

Definitely check in on the 10th, there should be a bunch of obscure tweets from the debs. Aside from that, I don't think there will be any "oomph" in the forums until E3... during which people will either be squeeing/fighting over the revealed DA3 info, or getting out their pitch forks because they didn't give us any news.

... Hopefully it won't be the latter.

I dunno if I can be arsed to play through DA:O from the beginning again, not that I was very far into my last game, but everything takes me twice as long to complete with the PC controls LOL!

Just experienced the most joyously awkward moment in gaming history:

Liara: Do you feel the same about me, Shepard?
Shepard: I don't you see you in that way, Liara.
Liara: This... is very embarrassing. Let's talk about something else.
Shepard: I should go.

I choked on my chips xDDD

I've gotta say, having not play DA:O for about two years and going back to it has made me realise how dated the game looks asthetically. It's not the art style or colours, just the general look and stuff.

Yes, I've been trawling through DAO recently and felt the same way. Ferelden might as well be called "Generic Fantasy Land #8179" for all it matters.

And yet, it's still the better game, if only because it feels a lot more "finished" than DA2.
