Yay, new Lola video! So, you sending some more Cullen fan hate our way? ;)

Not if I can help it! I've made it clear that the video isn't about him being a companion and that it's just speculation about where his life may have led him after the events of DA2 and the different paths his story may have gone down that could led him to make an appearance in DA3.

Obviously we already know he's in DA3, but I've had to keep things neutral so I've worded it in terms of possibility.

Working on my DA3 Cullen speculation video. Hold on to your butts, it could generate a lot of hate... I'm gonna try and keep it as neutral as possible.

Awesome! Looking forward to it :)

Also, watching back Cullen's intro in DA2 when he's threatening Wilmod is hot as hell! Not gonna lie, the fact that he can stick up for himself is pretty hot!

He IS awfully 'manly' in that scene, isn't he? Image IPB

That's my favorite Cullen scene!  I thought he would be a companion after that...but noooo.

It's a nice change, especially since Alistair is the polar opposite and Anders gets off on the idea of Hawke coming to his rescue whilst being chained up by Templars... filthy bugger!

Hmm I have to admit, it is my least favorite Cullen DA2 scene LOL! I feel like an outsider now :P But no, GE's voice just gets oddly high-pitched in that scene, and it bothers me. Plus he doesn't paint a positive figure in that scene, beating up on a recruit (of course we learn later that he suspected Wilmod was possessed, but my goody-goody Hawke's still did not approve of beating the kid up. My jackarse Hawke's... no problem lol).

To me Cullen is at his best when he's quiet and contemplative... at the Gallows, for example. When he's thinking things through, admitting things, yet still standing by his core beliefs.

I agree

I actually like the dichotemy of him seeming like a gentle, contemplative soul who also has to do harsh, physical things in the course of his job. I always imagine him being the guy that can sit around the fire with you, talking late into the night, but is also the dude who would throw down in heartbeat if he thought someone was harassing you. That under all that control, he's still a hothead.

I agree with R2, I like that he's not afraid to lay the smack down when he has to. I wouldn't want him to be all angry and punchy all the time, but to see him take charge like that when he needs to is a nice switch... particularly if he was doing it because someone/something had threatened someone important to him (like the protagonist!) :P

So this is cool. The BW dev who did that Qunari paper craft for DA Week, he posted a blog with a howto, for all you crafty folk out there. Also sounds like an interesting exercise in 3D modeling.

The Qunari paper symbol was great, but I don't think I would be able to create something like that! Read the instructions and appeared way too complicated for my little brain!

I hope he does another one.

I have to admit liking a reflective/pensive Cullen. Got to admit, I wasn't keen at first on his actions towards Wilmod, but I understood later. He'd be a bloody good tank if he is a companion. The question is will he be set up as two hander (as per DAO) or sword and shield man (as per DA2)?

Can't wait for E3!

Good question. I always think of him as sword and board these days... I must admit I like the symbolism of the templar shield. That being said... I had a hard time properly speccing sword and shield in DA2 to be really useful, and so my favorite melee combo was my two-hander Hawke and Fenris. Regardless... he isn't leaving my party, so I guess I'll make due  either way (or is that, make do? where the hell does that phrase come from, anyway?)

I like the way Cullen pulls out his ....sword. (Hurrr)

But srsly, I didn't mind the scene myself. My mage Hawke yelled at him. As best she could, "Don't you lay another hand on that boy!"

"This is Templar business!"...ooohhh. Sexy lady...

Poor Carver. Lol! He's just like Why?!? Why do you keep yelling at the Templars?

Technically, we've fought with Cullen on our team twice. The Wilmod time and the Meredith time.

make do I think and idk.

Anyway I never really noticed the big two hander in Origins, so the sword and shield is sort of his thing to me. It's also seems to signify how he's yet to decide whether to be a protector or a soldier.

You knoooow, one of the things i'd really like to see in DA3 is my Stash Box.

I mean, My Stash Box. If they fiddled w/the import techy voodooo thing. And I still headcanon that maybe--just maybe--my stash box will come in handy in the next game.

I do. I confess. Things like the Tome of Slumbering Elders that Marathari gives you. That's in my stash. The ring Ariani gives you for helping w/Feynriel..in my stash.

I fancy that I'm gonna run into him in DA3. I'd like him to have the ring. It's been in his fam for generations and all that.

Sentimental things. In addition to a few pieces of armor low to mid stats. For me and comapnions. A couple of weapons and some amulets. Cuz you never know. If everything goes to heck in a handbag....it'd be nice to have a few decent pieces.

A girl needs to be prepared. My mom always told me, "A girl should always have sum "Mad" money on her. In case your date--or whatever--goes to hell, you can get home on your own."

It's advice that has actually served me well a couple of times......

Ah, but that's neither here nor there. Uh, yeah, stash box. I know they prolly won't, or maybe can't, but I still save certain items in there. Just in case.

It's make do, as in, "make it do," or "make it work."

I see S&S for Cullen, too. A S&S personality is a steady personality, reliable, honorable, there for you through thick and thin.

Two-handed sword is kind of a hot-head. Slicing without thought, berzerker mode, kicking ass.

Maaaan that video took ages to do, I got interrupted constantly and had to re-record a few things, the light changes constantly throughout the video LOL. I haven't posted it up yet because I still need to fiddle around with a few things in the video editor. It'll definitely be posted up tomorrow.

It's the start of my DA3 character speculation videos, so this video is about Cullen. The next one will be Cassandra. I actually thought the video would be longer than what it actually was, I was thinking it would come in at the 10 minute mark, but I think it only just hit 5... which is unusual. Mind you, we don't have much to go on currently, so there isn't much for me to say lol, I wanna get them all out before E3 though, that way I can make additional videos as we get given more information.
