I accidentally deleted the 3 old Cullen fan videos I'd done, lol. But anyway, Varric's monologue was from a bunch of deleted dialogue they didn't use in-game. Basically he gives a description of each of the companions, the one I used was describing Aveline.

Cullen's dialogue where he says "I am not looking forward to this" is from the pro-Templar playthrough when you're all standing together before the show down with Orsino, I figured I throw that in there right at the end since it shows him running to get to the Divine, thus throwing him into the mix for DA3, he's not looking forward to the sh!t that's going to hit the fan lol.

We should do that! See if any of us get it right. Ok here's my predictions:

If there's a cameo - Cassandra.

Flemeth possibly narrating again (which kinda counts as a second cameo).

Ambiguous CGI trailer showing flashy stuff but not actually giving much of anything away, might get to see the new protagonist from behind or with his/her hood up so we can only she his/her mouth and jaw. Not sure if I think there will be a trailer made up of in-game footage.

Protagonist's title, no name Surname given yet.

Male PC, although later in the month a female version will come out.

Well your vid worked out wonderfully, Lola.

I've done pro-templar PT once so I'd forgotten Cullen's line. Shame the removed Varric's monologue though... But I doubt Cullen has ever looked forward to the excrement impacting the air circulation device. He does a duty, rather than reveling in combat.


If we're gonna place bets, shouldn't we devise a wager first? I have to go.Work's calling now, but I'll be back later tonight to continue with the Culleny goodness!

Hm, how about if the person who guesses the most correct predictions gets all of us to make something Cullen related for them, be it a photo-manipulation/video/fanfic/whatever and the winner gets to pick the theme?

With all the talk going on right now about women and gaming, I think we can reasonably expect to see a female PC being showcased.

I think several characters will be in the trailor with her; we will not know if these are companions are not. It will be a fight scene or a montage of fighting and traveling. There will be a brief flash of Cullen... unable to tell if he's a compaion at this point.

A male trailor will come out later. Different compaions; no Cullen flash but Cassandra instead.

On a different note, out of interest which out of the following people listed in the survey leak interested you/didn't interest you out of Sera, Iron Bull, Cole and Dorian as possible companions:

When I first saw the list (excluding Cassandra and Cullen) I wasn't particularly interested in any of them, especially since I hadn't read Asunder at that point. But after a while the idea of them really started to grow on me.

Sera: I think could turn out to be a lot of fun, especially if her description about being a bit of a wild child is correct. 

Iron bull: Sounds like the kind of guy who's gonna end up being my bro like Garrus, Varric and Oghren were in the other BioWare games, his description reminds me of the Black Whirlwind in Jade Empire and he was awesome! I'm still not keen on his name though, reminds me of an energy drink.

Cole: Really interests me now that I've read Asunder, especially given his situation and the fact that people keep forgetting he exists... it makes me wonder how they'd introduce him given his situation at the ending of Asunder. I'm personally very intrigued about him and I think my new protagonist would end up taking him under her wing and looking after him like a kid-brother. 

Dorian: Is the only one that doesn't really interest me particularly since his description sounds very much like any other charming male mage in Thedas... my initial impression was that he'd be a toss up between Anders in Awakening and Zevran, except maybe not quite as "free love" as they both were, LOL! However, no doubt he'll probably grow on me the fastest (if Cullen isn't a romanceable companion).

I was going to ask, if there is to be a gameplay trailer, will there be a glimpse of a possible LI (like Isabella/Morrigan), cause they have done previously.

I am really hoping we see a female protagonist who really kicks some arse!

I remember Mark Darrah saying that the female protagonist would be involved in the marketing, but I dunno if she's gonna be the only one used. I'm expecting them to do what they did with ME3, although it would make a nice change if they ran with the female first.

Naw, I think it just shows that BW is smart enough to understand it actually has a female audience. Most games do, after all. And, yeah, MDarrah said they'd include a female PC in the marketing... it's just a question of when/where. yay!

Sera: Was not interested at first because I just felt shades of Tallis and I shuddered in horror. But she could be cool, and I foresee her as being my female PC's LI for my third playthrough

Iron bull: Initially was excited to see a qunari companion, then swiftly realized he would probably not be a LI and felt depressed (lol). I would rather a qunari like Maraas than a "guy's guy" like Iron Bull. A bit apprehensive about this guy.

Cole:  DELIGHTED! Cause he sounds adorable, and you know I love the cute boys... in a totally non-pervy way. Really. *shifty eyes* 

Dorian:. Same as Lola. His personality sounds grating and just, been there, seen that.
