You could have them knock him about a bit. Pity we can't record it really, I could make some awesome videos out of that sort of thing.
*Edit* Just watched it, that was ****ing harsh! My Hawke(s) have always helped the poor guy.

Only sort of. Other prob is that you need an "official" body with regular clothes, and there's not really a lot to choose from outside of, say, Carver's Act 1 outfit. Unless you wanted to reskin it, and that is beyond my skill.LolaLei wrote...

Lola, I can try swapping Cullen for Cass. Haven't tried that yet. The other idea I've considered and its problematic for various reasons. Not the least of which is that it's hard to get them both in the shot since Cullen floats above the chair.
We could always chop off the bottom part so you can't see him floating, would that work?

It's possible. Swapping out less well known NPCs can be problematic. But he's a human male... so I could probably swap just his face. Stand by.LolaLei wrote...
Oh! What if we swapped Cullen for that guy who was caught stealing or whatever from that Orlesian who makes Hawke go into business with him? Put Cullen in the place of the thief and then swap Hawke and the other dudes(?) for generic Templars.

Tried that. Idunna is hardcoded to be female, so male bodies just show up invisible.LolaLei wrote...
We could also swap Cullen with Idunna the Exotic Wonder of the East, for a laugh.

Are you using the toolkit? I think that should allow you to save them as some other format.LolaLei wrote...
Gah, ok I can't convert them or anything so I'll type out all the ones I've never heard before and describe the way he's saying it. This could take a while.

I was pretty convinced it was actually an Anders line, but I guess it was listed as Cullen soo.
And I'd think, assuming he'd keep his sword and shield from DA2 and was even in the game to begin with, we could get him pretty early on. Don't we usually get a tank early in the game? Alistair was first in Origins, then Aveline in 2.
The survey did say up to 10 companions (grain of salt, I know), but who knows what the end product will have.

"I hope you are well" - Neutral tone, slightly more masculine. Blatantly said to a male mage protagonist.
*Sighs* "It is my duty" - Hard to tell who this would've been said to, likely the male mage protagonist because his voice sounds more stern than it does with the female protagonist.
"This is still new to me" - Neutral tone, could've been used for both male and female protagonist.
"Something... must happen" - Said softer than it is in-game to a male mage protagonist.
"Sometimes terrible things must be done to protect the greater good" - Neutral-ish, this is when he's in his pink cage, so he's a little antsy.
"My cage is Uldred's doing... or one of his mages" - Sounds pissed off.
"Did a mage not start this?! Isn't one of you to blame!" - Angry and bitter, but not frantic.
"You know nothing. I am thinking of the future of the circle! Of Ferelden!" - Angry. This might already be in the game for non-mage protagonists.
"Rational? HOW IS THIS RATIONAL?! DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE DANGER?!" - VERY angry.
"It was the foolish fancy of a naive boy! *Shakey breath* ... I know better now." Freaked out, the last part makes him sounded almost like he's teetering on the verge of a full on mental breakdown.
"You are a mage! And I a Templar! It is my duty to oppose you and all you are!" - Freaked out, desperate, angry.
"Yes, how proud you are of your power. Just like Uldred and look what's become of him now!" - Very shouty and angry, slightly taunting.
"What do you know about the mages evil anyway?! You didn't see what they did to the others!" - Shouty, pissed off.
"We will have to start over, but there will always be mages... and the circle will always be need." - Breathless, sounds urgent and panicky.
"When Uldred died the magic confining me dissipated. *Deep breath* ... I wanted to make sure things were alright." - Relieved, tired, weary. Possibly out of breath from running?
"Perhaps in death they will gain the Makers forgiveness." - Cold, uncaring.
"You did it! *Deep breath* ... I feel almost sorry for them, but it had to be done." - Relieved, shakey. Sounds sorry for them.
"I'm feeling better now that I'm free, my wounds will heal in time" - Cold, stern.
"Please try to be quick, we should report as soon as possible." - Sounds impatient, slightly ansty, but his voice sounds young and slightly softer. Not sure if this is a gender neutral response, but it sounds like it was for a quest in the mage origin?
"Are we leaving yet? I don't like wasting time, and I do have injuries that need tending." - Antsy, impatient with a tinge of nervousness, he's clearly trying to hide the fact that he's worried. Possibly gender neutral but is said with a slight stern twang. Makes him sound like a bit of a wimp/goody two-shoes.
"Alright, but make it quick, I want to report to Greagoir as soon as possible." - Worried, nervous, slightly stern. Wherever they are, he wants to get the quest over and done with quickly.
"Follow me then" - Stern.
"Greagoir will want to know that the situation has been resolved, *Sighs* I'm sure he'll be very pleased" - He doesn't sound too happy, at the end he almost sounds like he feels bad. I dunno if this was supposed to be part of his pink cage dialogue, or something else.
*Sigh* "You should go. A great battle awaits you, does it not" - Blatantly said to the female mage protagonist. Sounded like he was sighing over the whole situation, as though part of him almost didn't want her to go. He also seems kinda cheesed off that he couldn't go to war with the other Templars.
"Greagoir says I have been through... enough. That I need to... recover" - Doesn't sound happy about it, but is ressigned to the fact that he can't do anything to help the blight.
"Farewell then." - Neutral, slightly stern.
"I'm glad I'm still alive, but the circles future still remains to be seen." - Neutral but stern and professional.
"Are you ready to go? We shouldn't waste anymore time." - Stern, kinda angry and impatient. Possibly something to do with his torture.
"Now, my eyes have been opened. The naivety I once had is gone forever. But I welcome the change, as long as it helps me better serve the Chantry." - Kinda pissed off, but stern almost cold.
"When you knew me I was an innocent. *Slight laugh* I wanted to be a Knight, but I never really thought about why we were needed." - Slightly softer than the rest of his pink cage dialogue although his voice grows colder towards the end of the sentence. Clearly this happened during/after his torture.
"Those responsible have got, or will get, what they deserve." - Said very coldly.
"Now, are we ready to go?" - Impatient, stern. Definitely said to a male protagonist because he's got his macho voice on.
"Filthy blood mages, *shakey breaths* getting in my head. Argh!" - Angry, exhausted, slightly frantic.
"I... will... not... break!" - Shakey, exhausted, scared, in pain.
*Several frantic breaths* "I'd rather die!" - Stubbornness, anger, force and strength of will can be heard in his voice.
"You are a fool who does not see the heart of the situation!" - Angry, bitter, cold.
"DO NOT PRESUME TO JUDGE ME, MAGE! *Frantic breathing* I am thinking clearly, for perhaps the first time in my life!" - Really angry! I think this might be in-game, but I included it anyway, just in case.
"Be proud?! What is there to be proud of?! That I lived, and they died?!!" - Anger, disbelief, bitterness
"They've been surrounded by-by blood mages who's wicked fingers snake into your mind and corrupt your thoughts!" - Frantic, angry, exhausted. I think this also might be in-game already.
"But you haven't been up there! You haven't been under their influence, you can't save them! ... You don't know what they've become." - Frantically trying to plead with the protagonist, exhausted, scared.
"He's doing something to them, I can feel it... something horrible" - Exhausted and scared.
*Choking back tears* "... They are in the harrowing chamber" - Scared, exhausted, close to tears.
"The highest priority is prying the tower away from these rogue mages. It must be done, you understand what you must do. *Breaths* I would help, but as you can see I am in no position to do anything." - Kinda angry, but in a stern way.
And finally, the ones I couldn't find in my files but have heard elsewhere:
"So... do you think Andraste was a virgin? She was the Maker's bride... what do you think that means?" - Very soft and naive, I have no idea where he would've asked this.
"Did someone pay you to come up with that? Because you should give them their money back." - Sarcastically, but sounds very young and naive.
"I could get behind that" - Neutral.
"Keep your hands away, you!" - Pissed off, presumably that's if you try to pickpocket him unsuccessfully.
That's all of them! Interestingly, Morrigan makes a comment that his mind is twisted by hatred and jealousy... I wonder if that's only said to the female mage protagonist? Also, Zevran gets REALLY pissed off if you choose to side with the Templars and kill the mages, funny really.
I'll tell you something, you can really hear the difference in the way he addresses the female mage to the male. It will be interesting to see if his voice softens when trying to romance him in DA3... if we even can.

Yeah, it was definitely supposed to be said by Cullen. It appears that originally he was supposed to be a temporary companion, perhaps he was to accompany the mage protagonist on Jowan's escape attempt, if you shopped him in to the First Enchanter?

His attitude towards blood mages has been an important part of his personality and story, so for him to knowingly romance one would be ridiculous. If, however you can somehow thrall him, then perhaps that could work... but I really don't think he would succumb to it, he's too strong willed and is a too much of a seasoned Templar to allow his body and mind to be tampered with like that.

First, ahem, look who I found!!! Meet hm_gen_templar_captain.mor! Sounds even more like this was just a generic placeholder head before they slotted in dear Cullen.

Then... on with the interrogation...

And I guess our theory of him being a temporary head was correct! Does the "gen" stand for generic in the name then? It sounds like a fair amount of work went into making Cullen's face if he needed a place holder... I guess that means he was definitely custom made after all!

I've always wanted to recreate that concept we had of him being interrogated by Seekers/Templars after Meredith's demise and then subsequently him finding out he is to be thrown in a dungeon/killed so he goes on the run.
