You know who I've been fan-girling about, privately, in the safe space of my own brain lately?
Fergus Cousland.
I think he would make an amazing companion in a game like DA3 where you could really use some political allies!!
/endnonCullenrubbish
This is the Cullen thread but squeeing over other pixels is allowed, as I understand it![]()
If not, then I retract all recent statements made regarding: Kaiden, Joker, Alain, Maraas, and the list goes on and on...
I like Fergus. More of a Teagan girl myself. But Fergus has the devoted husband thing going for him. Plus he just lost his family, so he's like, vulnerable and stuff... although that would make it difficult to romance him, unless a great deal of time has passed. I couldn't romance Steven Cortez for anything.
Oh Maker! My Warden flirted so hard with him! After several PTs and a few years after release, I stumbled upon the option and thought I had missed an easter egg or secret romance. I was so bummed to discover that Teagan's all talk and no walk. <_<
Oh, I know -- and I always expected Alistair to growl like a bobcat under his breath, LOL!
Teagan has it going on. And even if you're a dwarf (not sure about elf or not) he treats you like a lady, even if there's no flirting. When he flirts with you even though you're a mage... that's hot. So much backbone, meow!
I wish Alistair had reacted in some way to it. I'll give DA2 that, the companions certainly had something to say if your eye wandered!
I always like to lead Teagan on a bit, I don't directly flirt with him but I say the lines that "accidentally" encourage him to flirt first and then I'm like "haha, no harm done!" I'm such a bastard!

Lol, it's ok, the games awful controls and combat is really putting me off continuing it anyway, my bloody protagonist keeps freezing up ever so often and won't move so I'm constantly reloading.

Oh but Lola! Teagan's surprise when you flirt first is sooo precious!
I did flirt with him properly once the first time I played the game when I was like "OMG I CAN FLIRT WITH EVERYTHING!" I'd totally romance Teagan if he was a companion (if cullen wasn't one), although he's probably too old to make it as a romance option in DA3. Pity, he's another one that needs a bit of love.
*Edit* I still reckon he shagged Isolde at least once though, if they aren't having a full blown affair!

I fully expect to walk in on them in the middle of a tryst in DA3 during some ridiculous Orlesian ball or gathering.

Some sort of noble conspiracy!
"Teagan, I cannot produce any heirs! Shack up with my wife and carry on our bloodline!"
Eamon does seem to put a lot of stock into blood. Alistair must be king because a Therein must be on the throne!
Now I'm just being a conspiracy theorist.
^And if DA3 does not have an off the wall extravagant Orlesian ball.. That's just committing an international crime. Dresses festooned with ruffles are a must for both men and women.

There's an option to flirt with him first? I always just ask him if he has any family, then he gets all flustered and asks if my Warden is married herself. I just pick the polite responses after, saying that she's not offended or that it's alright. Are you guys talking about the "you haven't gone far enough" line?

I'm not sure... I just remember that I was trying out all the responses and the convo had been benign up to that point but when he asks about whether or not she's married, one of the replies seemed to make him trip on his tongue. It's been awhile so I'm fuzzy on details. Or maybe my idea of flirting is off?
I can't wait to see/read your story, Lola.
But on that note, I'm gonna go to bed. I started nodding off. See you all later!

This literally made me LOL -- like, more than a little bit.
SD, I'm glad you told me about the elf thing! I would have been sincerely disappointed if he had been discriminatory in his luuuuuv. Seriously, though, you're right -- the man has big ol' cajones. I'd totally romance him if he came back in DA3 as a silver fox (but not with Eamon's scaly beard).
Though I definitely think Fergus would be more likely (incredibly unlikely as he is). Dat jawline!

Basically, I found a doll maker via one of the girls on Tumblr who has been recreating her Warden with it and stuff, so I thought it might be amusing if we all had a try at creating how we envision our new custom (and/or default) protagonist(s) to be. We could also try making Cullen for a laugh:

I'll do mine later since I'm in bed now (****ed my sleeping pattern up again, lol).

I love Teagan, he is such a flirt. Real shame he wasn't romanceable. I kinda thought he might have had feelings for the Warden (depending on the play through) because in DA2 to a female Hawke he's supposed to say -
"You remind me of someone ... I hold dear, though I never had the courage to say that to her".

I mean, all our fan-girling really is, is just a group of people being passionate about a character that they want implemented into the game. It's no different to the 100+ threads made about wanting isometric combat put back into DA games or wishing for playable races to return.
It's all just people wanting something put into DA3 that they feel would improve on their gaming experience. In our case, we feel that Cullen's inclusion as a companion/LI would improve our experience 10 fold.
LOL I feel like you've just written the thread's mission statement. I may have to save this one to trot it out again at a later date...
Totally agree. 100+ approval!
