A few weeks ago, I just created my first Amell Warden. My mages have all been elves. I'm trying to finish working on a dwarf commoner warrior, before I work on my new mage. I want to import her into DA II just to see that dreamy look Cullen makes. Of course, then I'll picture him dreaming about my elf warden. ^.^ I think other than that scene, I've pretty much taken screenshots from almost every angle and scene he's in.

Random question:

Does anyone know where I can get a different Cullen banner signature? I want to change mine, but I don't know where everyone is getting them from.

I adored Cullen in Origins. I was heartbroken with his ending. You know the 'he runs off like a crazy, murdering mad man' one? Anyway, in DA2 when you first hear about Knight-Captain Cullen, I didn't put two and two together. I actually thought it was weird that they named another character Cullen and thought it was very unoriginal on the writer's parts. Then I met him at Wilmod's camp, heard the voice and shrieked outloud in joy that it was my Cullen from Origins and he wasn't actually insane.

Gosh, that first line he says to Hawke "this is templar business stranger", I totally thought he was gonna be a bad guy!

I wish I had already played and imported an Amell Warden over for my first ever play-through of DA2. That very first encounter with Cullen would have totally made me think that he still bat sh!t crazy like his DA:O epilogues, it would've been a nice surprise to discover that he was a good guy whilst knowing his full DA:O backstory.

Well, I'll admit I wasn't sure he wasn't still insane until after Wilmod was dead and we conversed. But making the initial connection that it was actually the same Cullen made my heart skip a beat.

My very first reaction was: "Oooo angry pretty man" followed by "how bloody rude!" When he said the templar buisness thing. Then I was like "Oh sh!t" when Wilmod turned into a demon, and then I went all "oh, he's not such a bad guy after all... awww, he stuttered!"

After that I mainly just commented on how pretty he was everytime I saw him and then got worried that I'd have to kill him in the final battle.

Gosh, me too! I was quite surprised since. The second Meredith said she was gonna kill Hawke I thought we'd either have to cut him down during the final battle. Then when he started to stick up for Hawke I expected him to say screw it, refuse to fight and just walk off/disappear, so to see him turn his blade on his superior and then actually stay in the fight to help Hawke kill her was awesome! Especially at the end where he either bows or let's Hawke 'n' co go, including Anders who he could've quite easily demanded to stay to pay for his crimes.

It always makes me laugh when people use the 'What did you expect them to look like? A large sum of time has passed and people age' excuse for why Alistair and Nathaniel look so...well, not so pretty because Cullen looks GREAT, as does Isabela. It's almost like people forget that they were in the first game too. I guess time was kinder to their physical appearance.

Possibly my most favourite moment in the game. Admittedly, I will never let Carver be a templar after he stole the thunder of that line from me. I seriously wanted to shove him out fo the way and be like, "I don't care, Carver! Let me swoon over Cullen!"

That's reminds me. I wonder what Cullen's reaction to Anders would be in DA3 if we were to encounter him? I mean, obviously he's not going to be happy to see his face again, but in a lot of peoples games Anders was still in Hawke's party and Cullen allowed him to either escape with the rest of Hawke's party or allowed him to continue to remain free in Kirkwall with Hawke until they all left for whatever reason.

Presumably the writers will give him some sort of reaction/reasoning as to why Cullen let him walk free too. There wasn't any dialogue at the end of the game in which Cullen demands Hawke leave Anders behind and he certainly didn't even attempt to stop him, even if Hawke hated Anders lol.

I definitely would hope they give him some sort of reaction...and reaction to blood magic if any of your mages in your party uses it... :|

Here's his reaction when I warned him about Anders.  He did say that he thinks he knew which of Hawke's companions was the suspect, since Hawke did not specify it was Anders.

I...actually didn't really like Cullen at first. I think it's because I was playing a Cousland at the time and didn't realize just what he had been through until I finally went and rolled out a Surana. Then it went from "I really don't like this guy" to "Meh, he's alright I suppose." Then DA2 came out and I was just so impressed with the amount of character growth that the more I thought about it the more and more I ended up liking him.

I thought he was hot to be honest. But if you play on PC then there is a mod that fixes the eye thing.

Knowing Cullen and Anders they will probably just throw insults at each other or getting into a heated debate about the circle until our protagonist drags him away.

Wouldn't it be funny to find them working together. It would never happen but it would certainly be a surprise!

@Twice a Lady I didn't intend to embarrass you by posting a link to your artwork, it is just so fantastic it felt like it needed to be shared! I...actually didn't really like Cullen at first. I think it's because I was playing a Cousland at the time and didn't realize just what he had been through until I finally went and rolled out a Surana. Hehe!  I don't blame you.  Letting him live after what he did...was very difficult, in spite of not choosing to kill him in each playthrough.  I considered and did kill him on my first DA II playthrough (female Hawke), but for some reason (maybe it was because I romanced her to him), I burst out in tears right after she stabbed him, so I reloaded.   But, I've decided, in the last couple of playthroughs not to befriend him, but max my rivalry with him.  Maybe I should kill him in the current game I'm playing <.<....
