I killed Anders once after his voice actor was rude to me on Twitter. Then I reloaded and shanked him again because I was still pissed off. Kinda ruined the character for me after that, which was kinda awkward since my canon male Hawke romanced him.

I killed Anders all of once and I will never do it again. Seriously traumatized me. I have done some horrendous things on my many playthroughs, but I will never kill Anders again. If I go pro-Templar and haven't had a rivalry with him to convince him to join the Templar side, I run and hide and let one of my party members kill him for me when you meet him battle. I'm sure I'm one of the few that likes DA2 Anders better than Awakenings Anders, though!
My protag would be all super B in that moment and be like, "You got to leave Kirkwall with your life b/c he LET you go. Heal him or taste my blade or dagger or staff (because I wouldn't use magic, I'd beat him with the actual staff)VampOrchid wrote...

Oooh and then he finds out what Templar it is, and doesn't really want to help. So maybe, freeing him of Justice might make a deal breaker...could be a good quest

I personally didn't care for the fact that most of the companions in Dragon Age II could be romanced by either gender. I don't have anything against the option of romancing a character that's the same gender as yours, but I thought the number of characters that could romance both was "overdoing it." I don't know if that's the right way to put it. My apologies if I offended anyone.
