I was actually hoping he would leave the party permanently but, Holy Smite, that would be a thing if he attacked the PC... It would make me feel that blood magic is more than just a hobby with many benefits :]

Edit for ToP:

Hold on there blood mage, let me smite your dangerous a*s ;)

Maybe it's because I'm REALLY tired, but that made me giggle way too much. Also the first thought in my head was: "Baby, you can smite my a*s any time."

...I should go to bed. Night, y'all! XD

Could be the first line of defence: make Cullen blush

No probs, I actually found it by "stalking" Sam Hulick the Great (and I just realized that I should probably favour his version of the track, duhh). I love this guy.

I also hope that score for DAI will be epic and varied *fingerscrossed*

I am now stalking him on YouTube too. That video gave me the chills.

If your PC is a blood mage I would like to hope that they would only gain rivalry points from Cullen and that there are no options for romance (because I know in the past some companions could be rivalmanced).  I'm all for a bit of holy smite!

I tend to play mages who are anti-blood magic, because it gives mages a bad name and they get fed up having to deal with all those pesky demons! Hence why Hawke ends up 100% rivalry with Merrill (plus she's a bit annoying, although I love Eve Myles her voice actor).

If Cullen turns out to be a LI in DA3 I hope they make a flag so tat he refuses to romance a blood Mage. :)

I'm actually expecting them to do something extra for all different types of classes and specialisations. How people react, what the PC can do etc, not only for the Mage class and blood Mage specialisation. Maybe I am hoping for too much?

I remember in Baldur's Gate 2, you can't cast magic within the city without getting harassed by the magic police. You needed a licence to do that. Kind of cool. So NPCs reacting to the player AND the party is nothing new, just wish they'd implement that kind of thing again.

Ah, I forgot that about BG2. That was a nice, if annoying, feature! It definitely made it feel  more realistic... and shows that a more "modern" game should be able to implement something like that. I also liked how the random NPCs in the area would notice your actions, like if you killed a neutral NPC, they'd all turn red on you.

I know the devs have said that the new approval system will be some amalgam of the first two, bringing back full on disapproval from DA:O (or whatever it was called). I also would hope that being a blood mage would earn you massive disapproval from Cullen, and prohibit you from romancing him.  I think it makes sense that if you make an extreme choice like that, it should limit your options. Of course... knowing DA, there could be some kind of charming "star" option loop hole that I can't come up with an example of  right now since I haven't had coffee yet. But, maybe if you've done x, y, z and been "good" enough you can finesse/coerce the blood magic with Cullen so he doesn't try to, oh, kill you in your sleep. Sorta like how you could talk some of the companions in Da:O out of disapproving of your actions sometimes. It also would be cool if there were triggery things like this for some/all of the companions.

Romancing Fenris with my blood mage while screaming at anyone else using it was a glorious playthrough.

Wow, R2 - that would actually be crazy! Not just with Cullen but to have any of your companions be a zealot enough about something that it would make them try to murder you in your sleep! You never see it coming!
Mama like.

Batteries - Image IPB I can only imagine how comical that playthrough was.

You can do that ?!  Tempted to try this now!

I hope we do get back some full on disapproval. I think it would be amusing to see a companion's utter disgust of your PC's actions before leaving. Saying that I wouldn't want anyone to murder knife him/her in their sleep. They would forever be resting with one eye open <_< !

Forgive me for bringing this old topic back but just open WoT in page 78 and take a good look at the wheel of the chariot attached to the kossith slave. That "Sun" symbol is everywhere!
I'm aware Tevinter is an "Andrastian" country but a wheel appears to be an unnusual place to put religious symbols in.

Sounds like the artist just really likes using that symbol lol.

I have to admit, I've never played a blood mage. I've bought into the "all blood mages are evil" thing hook, line, and sinker

I played as a pro-templar blood mage that romanced both Fenris and Anders once for a laugh. She also looked like a troll, LOL!

I don't have anything against blood magic but I can't play a blood mage, everyone is so against it and I don't want to be hated, lol. And though Anders is my head-canon LI in DA2, I so do love Fenris' rivalmance, :3

I think if we had no choice but to use blood magic in order to save someone like a companion or whatever then I would.

I'll definitely try a blood mage play-through at least once, just to see if people react to it.

Oh man... it really does show up everywhere!  What a  peculiar place to put it. I mean... no one would bother making curvey wagon wheel spokes unless it was important, right? I'm still torn on whether it has some underlying, "represents the creator"-type meaning, or if it's just an affectation from the artist(s).

I should make a collage of these so we can blow our minds. LOL

edit: Heh, and lookie what I happened to run across. Denerim heraldry. LOL Although, at least in its case, it's the birthplace of Andraste.

Hmm, I haven't heard that. I would think if it were 'official' we would have... but who knows! I'll look around. Maybe Lola knows.

I just saw a comment from ElitePinecone in the new, derpy 'DAI: at E3?" thread, where he said he's expecting a playable demo based on tweets he's seen. Not seeing the basis of that from the twitter thread, tho.

All I can find is that they DA3 will be revealed at E3. I did see an article from May 8th with the title "E3 2013: Dragon Age Demo To Grace Floor", but the article itself mentions nothing other than the fact that we will get a reveal.

Looks like it was just a cheap title to grab views.

ElitePinecone jumps to a lot of conclusions based off very little, I wouldn't put any faith in that until we see for ourselves at E3.

BioWare is promising to demo Dragon Age III at E3 2013. Which character are you most hopeful to see return?

Yeah, I was wondering if that was just a bold extrapolation as opposed to hard fact. But I haven't been watching all the tweets. Honestly.... it seems they post every random sigh from a dev in that thread anymore, so it's hard to sort through.
