So I've heard that Bioware promises to play a Demo of DA3 at E3....is it true?

Hmm, I haven't heard that. I would think if it were 'official' we would have... but who knows! I'll look around. Maybe Lola knows.

Really? I'll go do some investigating. Where did you hear that, Vamp?

I just saw a comment from ElitePinecone in the new, derpy 'DAI: at E3?" thread, where he said he's expecting a playable demo based on tweets he's seen. Not seeing the basis of that from the twitter thread, tho.

edit: http://social.biowar...747171#16748227

ElitePinecone jumps to a lot of conclusions based off very little, I wouldn't put any faith in that until we see for ourselves at E3.

Yeah, I was wondering if that was just a bold extrapolation as opposed to hard fact. But I haven't been watching all the tweets. Honestly.... it seems they post every random sigh from a dev in that thread anymore, so it's hard to sort through.

I dunno what tweets he's supposedly seen, but all the ones I've seen are just vague mentions of seeing something "awesome".

scroll down and you'll see a poll asking
BioWare is promising to demo Dragon Age III at E3 2013. Which character are you most hopeful to see return?

Hmm, curious!  I've seen no such "promise." Could it just be a turn of phrase, that they'll be showing us DA3 at E3, i.e. demonstrating it? If folks can stop by and actually play a demo... I'd be sorta surprised. But excited.

I romance Fenris as a mage who supports freedom for her kind 99% of the time. I LOVE pissing him off! His angry face fills me with joy when I let a mage go. >:D

I only played as a Blood Mage once and I haven't done it since because it just seems so...messy. XD Plus, the lack of reaction from onlookers and companions lacked any thrill I could get for it.

If they played the demo that would be awesome, but I hope we see a CGI trailer first.

OK... here's where Biowarefanclub got its info: http://multiplayerbl...ext-gen-title/ which says "What we can expect is the first reveal at E3 from BioWare's upcoming next-gen project. BioWare will also be demoing "Dragon Age 3" during the show, so this sounds like it'll be something we haven't yet heard about. "

their source is GameInformer, which only says: According to Gibeau, we'll be seeing more next-gen titles, [[including something from BioWare]][this phrase linked to the original DA3 press release last year], running on the new technology at E3.

Sooo.... nothing about an actual demo.

Go figure.

They'll probably show us something in game, which can be considered a demo. I doubt we'd be able to play it ourselves though.

Yeah... I think there's a semantic difference here between playable demo, and demo-nstrating the game. My money's on the latter.

I can't wait. I want to see how this new Frostbite engine makes the environments look, and how the characters look. And hopefully we'll get to see Cullen! And learn more about what our protagonist will be doing... EEEE!! Two more weeks. Have to wait two more weeks.

Oh, and I just started a game (I just started the third act last night, actually) where my female Hawke is a rogue, is very protective of her sister and in turn is very protective of mages in general because she doesn't want her sister to be abused or made tranquil. I decided to romance Anders and be 100% pro mage, except for killing Templar Thrask, because he's actually kind to mages.

Usually I romance Fenris, but I'm kind of sick of him. And I've tried romancing Isabela and Merrill, but I'm really not into that and don't feel any sort of attachment to them at all. If they would have let Varric be romanceable I would have been all over him, because at least he isn't broody and moody.

I haven't tried a blood mage, either... I have thought about it, but it doesn't seem like much fun since no one notices that you're doing blood magic.

Oh man, I would've romanced the absolute arse off Varric given half the chance!

Fenris is one of the characters I didn't like in DA2. I found that surprising initially meeting him because the Tevinter Imperium culture is probably the place I'm most interested in Thedas. He just seemed rather off for Dragon Age. I don't think the comments are exaggerated when they call hime anime boy. That's basically what I thought when I first saw him...

I did not like his design. Ended up putting cold steel in him at the end of the game but he wouldn't listen to reason. :(

I don't think there's a single companion I don't like. I wasn't keen on Bethany at first, but even she grew on me in the end, though I still prefer Carver because he's such a moody little sh!te!

I think the one I like the least is probably Tallis, but I don't even dislike her. I think if she'd stuck around she would've grown on me more too.

Maker, but I wanted to fight Carver sooooo badly! Not like shank him - just a good old fashioned bar room brawl to knock the attitude down. You know, sibling love. Image IPB

Bethany was kinda generic. It didn't seem like Bioware put a lot of effort behind both siblings because they could be killed off early in the game. Carver seemed much better than her.

I didn't like Fenris, Bethany, Anders and Sebastian.

I liked Anders in Awakening. I did not like his transformation in DA2. I understand why it happened but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

My favorite companions were probably Aveline, Varric, Isabella. The rivalry banter is classic when you put Isabela and Aveline in your party. Tallis seemed like an interesting character but you barely get to know her in the DLC.

I'm surprised how protective I was of him. I decided to make him a Warden, just in case something bad would happen to him in DA3 with the whole templar split thing, plus I'm kinda hoping that he'll end up with Merrill in the time between games, which he probably wouldn't be able to do as a templar. I'm looking out for my fictional baby brother!

Yea, I wanted to slap Carver a few times. Full of sibling angst. Bethany is hard to describe because it seems like whatever path you take, she disappears for most of the game.

It would've been cool to see Anders go from his usual cheeky DA:A self, to the Anders we've gotten used to in DA2. Ironically, Anders DA2 VO behaves more like DA:A Anders in real life... except more arrogant and ruder to people that aren't obviously female because they didn't have a ****ing photo of themselves as their profile pic on Twitter at the time. *Ahem* :innocent:

Before Seb was put into the game I got major disapproval from her for flirting with Anders, LOL!

I've reported the same person 5 times now in three different threads as being sexist, offensive troll. Tell me again why I read the DA3 forum? Lol!

I'd go directly to one of the devs if I was you. Maybe Allan or something?

Yeah he got some. Did not clean up all or ban the creepy dude.
Sorry for being a downer. Going to edit in a picture of Cullen to make up for it. <3
this is a thing I prompted a while back. I was thinking it was Cassandra he was being courteous towards. source is http://zombiebex.tum...s-was-a-request

The only character I dislike with the passion of a thousand suns is Merrill. Sorry. XD Isabela still gets on my nerves, but she has grown on me. Anders is starting to grate on me, but I doubt I'll stop romancing him. Fenris, surprisingly, still doesn't bother me much.

Some people want Cassandra and Cullen to get together. I don't mind if they have a romance so long as we get to romance Cullen too. Kinda like what happened with Fenris and Isabela - if you don't romance either of them, they go for each other. Just fine.

But I swear if Cullen kisses my (character's) hand I will squeal so loud LolaLei will be able to hear me on her corner of the globe. XD

I think our squeeing would be in sync! I couldn't see him introducing himself like that since he seems kinda shy and awkward, but I could totally see him doing it later in the game if you've been pursuing him and we've given him an important meaningful gift from his past or completed his quest or whatever.

Man, I would literally melt.

Speaking of introductions, I wonder how he'll introduce himself if he is a companion?

Like, for example, say we encounter him and he's just finished fighting something, then straight away before he's even opened his mouth the protagonist can say something like: "Handsome as well as skilled with a blade, I see", I wonder if maybe he'd stutter or come out with some sort of flustered reply, lol.

Oh dear, Scr0ll, did you stumble into that creepy sex thread...? I wouldn't want to go within 50 miles of BSN discussing rape. :shudder: I can only guess who you're talking about... and am stunned at some of the comments that *didn't* warrant being censored as inappropriate. Dunno who you've reported to (the "report" button goes to some far off EA IT dudes or something), but it might require someone in a higher pay grade than Ninja Stan.

On a cheerier note, that picture is lovely!
