Yep, my only worry is that afterwards we'll have to wait for the actual game for quite some time. I just need to calm myself down and find some hobby... Okok, I've got plenty of games to go through, probably DAO and DAII few times as well... I just can't wait for the buzzLolaLei wrote...
It's crazy to think that in two weeks we'll finally have some solid information about the game.

Mike Laidlaw keeps saying they're still on schedule for Fall, I reckon if anything holds them up it'll be the whole online multiplayer thing.
Apparently, according to one of the devs they've had the storyline for DA3 ready since DA:O but then they felt like they needed to bridge the gap, so it became DA3 and they made DA2 as a sort of filler story set up thing. They've also said that they started working on DA3 as they were finishing DA2 so they've been working on this for a while now.

It's moving pretty quick though, I remember complaining 6 months ago about how long it was until Spring, yet here we are already.

Fall? For some reason I was thinking it was going to be in December. Fall would be great!

I'm wondering whether they will actually manage the Fall release. Not that I mind waiting longer if this means less bugs and more polished game. The multiplayer puzzles me though. I've never played a multiplayer game, for ME3 I asked my bf to pimp my galactic readiness up. I really hope it won't be tied with the main campaign...LolaLei wrote...

True. I'm excited for two things for June 11th: DA3 information and I get to hear my baby's heartbeat for the first time.

I am looking forward to E3. But unfortunately will be away so will have to watch/keep updated via the phone.
If there are delays, I would be fine about it if it is to the benefit of the game. I really hope too that if there is a multiplayer element that it doesn't impact on the SP game like in ME3.

ME3 multiplayer is a snooze fest. Only thing it has going for it is you get to VERY MINIMALLY customize your character, meaning, you can choose his/her race, skin color, and name. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm used to FPS multiplayer, but this was just hard to get into. I played it one time and haven't gone back to it.
Can't imagine what a DA multiplayer will resemble. First, it's fantasy, so that's weird (no guns). Second, it's not open map; you can't dodge and hide behind things or sprint across the battlefield. DA just takes you down the neat little path before planning out your battle step by step (or excited button-mashing if you're playing on casual/normal).
This tells me they might do away with the neat little paths and have a more open world. Not Skyrim-open. But more ME-open, with a certain sized map that you can run over every inch of.

hopefully they took notes from the fallout the ME3 multiplayer caused when it was attached to the single player campaign.

I'm with you on the second one. I vaguely recall it meant to be a co-op, so it may follow similar pattern to ME3 multiplayer, mixing powers for different classes when fighting different types of generated enemies.
Here's to hope :happy:LolaLei wrote...

Dude, I am still angry about that ... and I've beaten the game three times, twice with the EC and the "perfect" ending, yet I'm still mad I worked so hard on that first playthrough and got SO DAMN BURNED just because I did not have xbox live and could not play MP lol

Wait, I'm not sure I understand this. Why couldn't you play MP... but then later could...? Confused.motomotogirl wrote...

I must admit that when I was playing SWTOR multiplayer it made me wonder if DA MP would be like that. How it was still really quest-based, but with crazy numbers of folk running around you doing the same quests. Then, random encounters to slaughter hither and thither.motomotogirl wrote...

Ah, congratulations! That's so exciting. Ironically, my four yr old was just playing with our in-house heartbeat monitor... you know the lame mini-speaker kind that never actually worked, no matter how strong that heartbeat got. LOL Years later, it works as a great spygadget, tho...Chanda wrote...

Sorry - I wasn't clear. Basically, both! It was me and hubby running around together, but each doing our individual class-based questlines, with a whole crowd of folks around around us doind the same. He could see my convos and cutscenes, but not participate, and vice versa. Then of course a lot of quests were for both of us.neonmoth wrote...

Or you were in a team of x number of people?Scratch that, I am just reading about it :]

OK... sorry... I must be having one of those brain days. What does it mean that it was linked to SP? You had to beat SP before you could play MP the first time? So it tried to force you to buy both at once, instead of letting you pick up MP separately later on...?motomotogirl wrote...

Two weeks does seem too long, but at the same time, this fall I'm taking a capstone class, retaking a 300 level class, and one 100 level class. I don't think I'll have any time to play DA III if it did get released in the fall. I still have Assassin's Creed III to finish. >< (but I've also been delaying finishing it since I know something is going to happen to a character that I like.)
