I've no idea, it's one of R2's screenshots. I don't think it's from Anders love scene... or maybe it is?

Looks to me like a Fenris scene. He does a lot of heated glare moments

Ah, yes it could be the Fenris scene right before he flares up blue.

Soooo, some random dude commented on my Cassandra video saying that he'd heard that they were going to update the appearance and looks of reoccurring characters in DA3 to bring them up to date age wise.

I guess logically it would make sense if they did, but when I asked him where he had read/heard about it he said: "That's classified unfortunately. I will let you know soon if that's ok".

Have any of you guys heard this from the devs? I'm pretty sure if it's a legit piece of info floating around then we would've heard it in this thread first, right?

We're an eagle-eyed bunch in here, if we haven't heard about it then it doesn't exist.

I'd go with both. We've seen quite a range of emotion from him in the past two games for simply being a minor NPC. And I bet he's got one hell of a 'smoulder' too!

It's one of those blink and you'll miss it moments, but I like to describe it as the "sexy b!tch" look. I've seen Cullen do it in an Isabela swap once and it definitely suits him!

Yes, it's during the Fenris reconciliation after Danarius died, just before they kiss.

I agree; I see him being a glare and puppy eyes kind of guy. I think all you need is some self-righteousness and some vulnerability, both of which are plausible characteristics for him.

I was playing Awakening again and Anders speaking with Cullen's Greg Ellis' voice made me think again about the mish-mash they did with Cullen's and Anders' VAs in DA2. I know DG said they decided to give new voice to Anders since Greg was busy at the time and couldn't voice a major role and so on, but there were few posters saying that Greg Ellis (via facebook) himself was surprised that he did not voice him. I know I am trying trying to read to much into it but I still have a hope that it is because they wanted him for a major role in DA3

On that note I am so glad that they kept Cullen's original va!

Agree. I would see him more of a glare kind of guy overall but some situations/feelings could make him feel lost and therefore the puppy eyes :]

I saw the tweets from GE on Twitter and he seemed kinda gutted that he hadn't been given Anders VO in DA2, I think he and Adam Howden had a little joke about it afterwards. So maybe he wasn't busy after all? Mind you, presumably BioWare have to go through GE's agent to book him, so maybe there was some sort of **** up? Either way, I'm glad GE didn't voice Anders because otherwise Cullen would've got a new voice and it just wouldn't feel right.

I would certainly like GE to continue voicing the role. He's been Cullen's voice for two games now, so why change it up now? The characters who have had their VA changed appeared in one game before the switch...at least I think so. It wouldn't be the end of the world if it was someone new voicing him, but I'd always want the original voice. It would feel like if someone new started voicing Flemmeth to me in the third game, I'd get used to it, but it'd never be the same.

I feel exactly the same way. I pretty much fell in love with Adam Howden's voice just from DA:O (that npc that you meet in the cage in Ostagar and can bring lunch to/get the key from). Even with such a super-small role I found it really jarring to hear that voice on Anders, who my brain had already solidified as belonging to Greg Ellis' voice. Now when I go back and play Awakening I find myself involuntarily doing the head shake of confusion and disapproval.

At this stage, I associate Cullen with his voice as much (if not more) as with his looks. Though we can feel safe since GE recorded his lines. Of course they can always decide they won't use it
