Nice, a comment I found on my Cullen video:

"You seem very partial to the idea of recruiting a crazy fruit loop version of Cullen! Actually, a lot of people seem to want that...is there a reason why these supposed fans of Cullen seem to enjoy the idea of breaking down Cullen until he's a blithering idiot?"

Seriously, where do people get these notions about us?

Maybe we're just blind and don't know who he REALLY is ;)

ups,edit for ToP:

...though we definitely know that

I don't think it's unique to Cullen's fan base. People naturally want to know what will happen to a character who has been broken, because that's the kind of situation that reveals who someone really is. Like Maximus or William Wallace -- they're able to act because their pain gives them perspective.

I think what we really want is for Cullen to have a good reason to leave the Order. We want to know if his reasons for staying are his own, or if he's been taking the coward's route of comfort all this time by doing what he's told and living the life he's grown used to.

^^His story definitely feels unfinished to me and that is a main reason why I would like to see more. And, if anything, his mental state seems to improve as the story progresses...

Exactly, so I'm not sure why people think the fans want to turn him into a fruit loop.

Granted, I'd like to find out that he went through a rough time between DA2 and DA3, but that's only because it would make things more interesting than discovering that his life has been peachy since killed Meredith and that he's suddenly cured of his issues. It would just make more sense given his experiences so far, that things have got even more difficult for him.

I mean, you don't just kill your superior and get away with it, lol.

Oh ****...:

David Gaider: "Until We Sleep #3 is now out! The last issue in the @DarkHorseComics Dragon Age series (at least from me). Bracing for impact."

I bet he's bloody killed one of them off.

I think that there are some people who are genuinely surprised and curious why Cullen is considerably popular, but mostly it looks like a simple competing for resources. Those who don't like him, don't want him to take a valuable spot of a potential follower, regardless of how his story develops. I can understand this but at the same time I would like others to see some potential in his character and quite a lot of flexibility in a way his story may progress.

They really gain some speed. I though it meant to be released late summer. I guess my sources are unreliable (shame on you amazon.uk...)

Spoilers in that thread

Definitely interesting news about Alistair's mother - possibly. Not entirely conclusive.

Just finished it. Kinda underwhelming (meaning, no real surprises). Curious non-information about Alistair's mom, though.

Yeah, it seems funny and almost paranoid to me, I mean we get a fair amount of companions to choose from anyway, and half the time I play, at least one companion hardly ever gets played unless it's their personal quest stuff. It's not that I don't like the character, it's just that I have my preferences, and yeah that changes based on what class I'm playing or what alignment I've chosen, but there will always be a few companions I hardly use. If someone really doesn't like a character, don't take them along unless you have to!

Hm, for what games though? Ones that are already out like ME3 and DA2? Or games that have yet to be announced like DA3?

Hm, curious:

David Gaider: "I can't believe how excited I am about this thing I'm working on. I'm all a-tingle. It's so very odd of me. #DA3"

*Name removed*: "Some character just died, didn't they?"

*Name removed*: "There are things worse than death. And that man is capable of writing that."

*Name removed*: "something horrible is certainly happening."

David Gaider: "Hey, now. It involves no angst, no tears, no bittersweet nothing. Hence the "so very odd of me".

*Name removed*: "are you feeling okay, babe?"

David Gaider: "If you knew what I was working on, you would roll your eyes and understand. :p"

*Name removed*: "i have a suspicion, and i am rolling my eyes already."
