*Name removed*: "There are things worse than death. And that man is capable of writing that."

David Gaider: "Hey, now. It involves no angst, no tears, no bittersweet nothing. Hence the "so very odd of me".
*Name removed*: "are you feeling okay, babe?"
David Gaider: "If you knew what I was working on, you would roll your eyes and understand. :p"

Oh wow, I am REALLY curious as to what he is writing about! Can't wait to see it in the game.

lol, I'm not! It's a pretty vague conversation to be worried about, plus he mentions that it's not tear-inducing.LolaLei wrote...
I'm not sure whether we should be worried or not. :-S

Isn't that the point of "so very odd of me" and "rolling his eyes"? That's it's something he doesn't like?LolaLei wrote...

LOL! Or maybe he really is squeeing over a romance? Perhaps it's an LI or a storyline that he really likes?

I like to believe that even the darkest heart has a tiny, soft, ooey gooey romancy part that peeks out every so often, like on a blue moon or something.LolaLei wrote...

Very true! Perhaps it's the thought of the VO in question voicing the dialogue, or the scene itself is just very poignant in a good way and the thought of it in-game is making him a bit squeeish?

Anders doesn't kiss you in the courtyard before you go off to fight the templars. You spare his life, friendmance him, and he doesn't even give you a last kiss. Fenris kisses you, Merrill kisses you, I'm pretty sure Isabela kisses you, but not Anders. That's messed up.
Anyway... during the last scene with Cullen I was noticing how dark the circles around his eyes are getting. I hope he's not going to be lyrium-addled by the time we get to Inquisition.

Are the dark circles lyrium related? I hadn't heard. I had always assumed they were the mark of a haunted man. As for MOA, I kind of want my $10 back. At least that sums up how I felt about it.

Apparently if you rivialmance him he was supposed to kiss you after heavily hinting that I was going to kill himself, they cut out the kiss though:
0:40ish - Poor thing
I never noticed Cullen's circles getting darker, I'll have a look though. Maybe it's just the lighting?

Oh? It wasn't cut? I heard it was lol.I just finished my rivalmance with him last month. I even phoned my sister, I was so excited to get that end kiss. It's all very tragic, because he does give a subtle hint that he will kill himself and Varric doesn't mention Anders staying with you in the epilogue, but that kiss is totally worth the rivalmance. Actually, TBH I'm kinda leaning towards the pro-templar mage rivalmance with Anders as my canon game.
Really? Christ, that's pretty full-on. It really is the case that Hawke holds the key to his demise or survival. I always friendmance him, lol.

I always friendmanced him too, until I started siding more and more with Templars. I hate killing Anders (I actually always let a party member do it in the fight) and I had heard if you rivaled him he'd join the you with the Templars and you wouldn't have to kill him. The rivalmance is a bit darker, because Anders isn't in control of Justice at all and he black out every so often when you talk to him with Justice suddenly taking over and yelling at you. They really play up his possession in the rivalmance.LolaLei wrote...

Personally, I think Fenris's friendmance is the best romance of the game, especially if you are a mage and/or pro-mage. Ander's however gives the best kisses, but I like being pounced rather than doing the pouncing myself!

I've never got the kiss during a friendmance, though I can't be sure when they fixed it, so perhaps I'll have to try another Ander's friendmance in the near furture...for science.R2s Muse wrote...
Is the Anders rivalmance ending the one they fixed with one of the patches? I only romanced him once, and I'm pretty sure it was a screamingly pro-mage friendmance. Nope, no kiss. All I recall from when the patch came out was that it was supposed to fix an Anders end kiss and only worked with a new playthrough.

I do prefer rivalling Anders now, altho I've not romanced him again. I find I prefer listening to his more measured arguments about the mage issue; I think he makes more sense overall. LOL I'm not sure I ever clued in about the Justice blackouts, though, unless that only happens in a romance..?
