This would be so interesting! Did they do that in ME3...? I wonder what it would be like to, like, date the butcher back home.

They did, but I haven't tried them. As I understand it, Traynor was basically lesbian fetish porn (for straight dudes) (this is the complaints I've heard the most), and the romance not deep enough to be worth it (which is why I haven't tried it since she's just the type I'd love to hook up with my PC, but if there's no true love involved...). Basically she and Shep have sex in the shower. And that's it...? Don't think she even visits Shepard before The End. (Could be wrong.)

Steve... Oh Steve. I want to romance him so bad. But I can't do it. Yes, his story actually is pretty deep. I can't romance someone who is grieving his husband. Some of his dialogue actually tears me up. But I think if you do it, his romance is supposed to be pretty good.

Of course the "side romances" in ME3 are the gay ones. Not insulting at all, BW.

They did with Traynor and Cortez. They also kinda did with Engineers Adams and Donnelly, but to a much lesser extent (you couldn't romance them).

I just remembered, couldn't you also sleep with Allers? I don't think she qualifies as a romance though. More a booty call.

Traynor's wasn't too bad, it was made better with the extended ending dlc and Citadel dlc, but neither Traynor's or Cortez's were a patch on the full companions.

Urgh, yeah you could shag her. And if you turn her down she's all like "Oh? You thought I was interested... I don't think so" in a "mean girl" kinda manner and I'm like "GET THE **** OFF MY SHIP YOU ARROGANT ****!"

It just doesn't seem like she and Shepard are in love. Am I wrong? I've only read and watched parts of the romance. I'm considering starting a FemShep playthrough (I actually did start it, but my 15 minute ME2 comic didn't work after I downloaded it, so I turned the game off in disgust), and I'd consider romancing Traynor instead of Liara.

Yes she seemed embarrassed when my Shep politely turned her down after she came onto him like a mare in heat LOL I wanted the dialogue optoin, "I'M GAY B!TCH! GTFO!" But, no. Damn you, paragon Shep.

Lol, I've just realised that my method of playing BioWare games is "no one dies on my watch" ... unless it's completely unavoidable (like the Kaidan or Ashley/Carver or Bethany choice).

I never let my companions die if I can help it :( Poor babies. That's why the Legion / Mordin / EDI / and so on and so on thing is just so wretchedly horrible.

At least DA doesn't make you lose people.

Yeah, I prefer to have a choice in the matter even it's a case of picking one over the other. Mind you, we lost Wynne but we always knew we would... would've prefered to see it in-game though.

Although true, there is Bethany/Carver (the Deep Roads). I hated how when you exited the Deep Roads, Varric is all, well that wasn't so bad! I was like, DID YOU FORGET ABOUT MY DEAD SISTER, YOU JERK?!?!!

Yeah, I think DA2 was really lacking in the emotional responses which is a shame because there were some prime opportunities to really hit us in the feels.

I mean, when Hawke's mum is on her death bed I was expecting to be moved to tears but instead I was kinda pissed at all my Hawke's for not being emotional enough, same as when his/her LI came to comfort him/her, I would've liked the option to break down in the LI's arms. Or when Anders blew up the Chantry, I would've liked the opportunity to majorly freak out at him, or, if I choose to stab him I would've liked to seen an emotional scene between the two of them if they were in a romance, the option of one last embrace as he/she stabs him or whatever.

I reckon this time round they'll take a leaf outta ME3's book and really amp up the poignant scenes.

Hope so!!! Another one I forgot was Thane. More crying!!

When I first downloaded Sebastian, it was for an Anders romance, so when I chose not to kill Anders (as I always do), and Seb shouts something about "Your precious Anders!" I was like, awww, he knows about us! But then I played a Fenris romance where Hawke actually didn't even like Anders, and Seb STILL says "Your precoius Anders," and I was like, dude, what?

DA2 *shakes head* Sometimes, man....

LOL! Seb is a jealous man!

I really hope they do something about the intimacy between the protagonist and the companions, not just the LI but I kinda wanna see the protagonist interacting with the group beyond just the odd cutscene or conversation. I guess something akin to ME3 with the play-dates/hangouts. I know it's kinda different since Shepard and the player had spent a long time with the companions, but I just loved the dynamic that Shep had with each and every one of them.

I just feel that if your protagonist is spending a big chunk of time with a group of people, it would be nice to see them interact beyond just fighting together. And in regards to the protagonist and LI, I'd actually like to see the shift in body lanuage as they go from acquaintances-to friends-to lovers.

I'm sorry, nothing gets me worse than when Anders had moved into my freaking house and still said the banter line, "I really should find a nicer place." *shakes fist* "Then move back to your hovel, ingrate!" Man... my appreciation of Anders was sadly the least during my romance playthrough.

Ugh! I hated that! I was already in my Garrus romance and I had Liara, Traynor and Diana all come up to my room and hit on me. Aaaaaawkward, but the Diana one was the worst, I almost told her to get off my ship, but I was so concerned about war assets, no matter how minimal. Image IPB

Hey, Cullen fans. First time poster in this thread! I'm replaying DA2 right now and I must say, I'm getting a strong Paul Walker vibe from Cullen. Maybe its because I recently saw Fast 6 but... I dunno.

On the leaked survey pictures, from top left to bottom right, I think it goes like this:

Un-named Grey Warden, male protagonist, unknown Orlesian girl (who looks like she's from Rivain with the dark skin), Dorian, Cassandra, female protagonist, Cullen, Sera. Cole and the Iron Bull aren't shown in that picture, but I think the Iron Bull is shown in the World of Thedas (the qunari with the seeker symbol on his chest) and Cole is introduced in the book Asunder.
