Yeah, I missed the older 'Wynne type' character. I especially liked prodding her about griffins...anyway, I like having the wise, parental type figure. Helps balance out the crazy that other companions bring to the table!

I really want a drunken Qunari companion now. At first I really didn't like the sound of him, Sera or Dorian but the more I think about it the more I think they'd be kinda fun.

As for custom Hawke's, they could look however one wanted them to look, but with those broken hips and huge breasts, there was nothing particularly butch or tomboyish about FemHawke....

Yes, like he/she is a half dwarf or something. Also the fem protag looks like a giantess maneater.

I always felt like Bethany should've been selling fish on the docks with that voice. I thought Leandra sounded elegant.

For a qunari companion, I really wanted a serious one, but one who'd left the Qun, like Maraas. Drunken qunari doesn't really appeal to me...

S/he is definitely androgynous lol although more so because the picture is so tiny.

LOL! Her voice sounded much older than her physical appearance, she reminded me of the English maid from Frasier.

LOL simmer down there, MMG! Lola thinks fem!PC looks tomboyish. I said I think fem!PC looks like canon f!Hawke. I don't personally think fem!PC looks tomboyish, so the corellary cannot be made that I said Hawke is tomboyish.

I really liked drunk Oghren and I always wanted to recruit that mercenary Qunari from DA2 so I'm all on board for that companion! I like the sound of Dorian, but I also have a thing for rebelious mages . I am not remotely interested in Sera, but that being said, there hasn't been a companioin yet that I didn't like on some level...wait, that's not true. I didn't like Tallis, but I don't count her as a true companion b/c she's a DLC...yeah, I count Seb...it's complicated...

FWIW, wiki agrees with you. It calls Seb a companion, but Tallis a temporary companion.  ( as would I ... Assuming I was being more charitable than usual about Tallis)

When I first heard about Sera I wasn't keen because she was described as a bit of a brat, but it also said she was free spirited and sounded a bit of a wild one which I thought sounded fun. I guess I'm kinda picturing an elven version of Jack but without the anger issues and a better sense of humour... I bet I'm completely wrong.

Iron Bull's description reminds me so much of the Black Whirlwind in Jade Empire, he liked drinking and killing (in that order) but he was a big dope really and quite lovable, which is kinda how I'm imagining this Qunari guy to be.

Tallis I have mixed feelings about. I liked the silly banter between her and Hawke, but I wasn't keen on how she seemed to be unbeatable in terms of humility, like it didn't matter what you said to her she'd still get the upper hand and make everyone else look like an idiot. Plus the Qun aspect to her personality kinda bored me and seemed very contradictory.

*Edit* And the Valley girl accent felt kinda out of place... not that it can be helped, hell knows I'm bloody awful at accents myself!
