Now when I think about it the 'trick' they used with Grunt could be interesting in DA world =]

It could be the greatest Cullen moment of the game! :o

I got shivers even thinking about it. Good call ^_^

Edit: Poor Cullen, we're planning all those horryfying moments for him to experience...

Omg, I would be literally yelling at the tv (like I did when playing ME3 for the first time). That would be so ****ing awesome! Especially if you managed to get him to come out of it alive!

I had this idea once that perhaps at some point Cullen would "find redemption" by trying to fight off some big boss thing, giving you enough time for the protagonist, companions and a whole bunch of mages to escape unharmed. You'd try to convince him not to, but he tells you to run (maybe touches the protagonist face and gives you the puppy eyes as he pushes you away to safety or something), the whole place collapses as he strikes the killing blow or whatever and you assume he's dead. The idea would be for us to think we've majorly ballsed up and lost him, but if you done everything correctly then after a few tense moments and a slow-mo scene of the protagonist being forceably dragged away kicking and screaming he'd come scrabbling out of the carnage.

*Que super awesome emotional reunion scene if you romanced him!*

I need this to happen now. Exactly as you described. Image IPB

I'd try recreating it in the DA:O toolset... if I had any talent!

Yeah, spoken very eloquently! I always saw Grunt as 'my baby'. My widdle Krogan, D'Awwww! *coughs*Ahem! And when I thought he had died in ME3 I was crying, but when he came out alive, I cried EVEN HARDER because I was just that much happier and so relieved.

I was totally prepared for Shep's demise, I sort of expected it, what got me was the impact your death had the rest of the crew.

Interestingly, I never felt anything special for Grunt, IDKW :P

I did think it was stupid how your LI puts up "Commander Shepard" on the wall instead of your character's full name. It's just a graphic; how hard would it be to change it for each player? It's not like it involve voice acting.

Worst deaths for me were Legion and Thane for some reason. I don't know why Legion got me in the feels.

Worst for me was Mordin and Legion.  It was partly because of Legion's sacrifice ( I had a real soft spot for him) that I chose synthesis. I know that I am in a v small minority choosing that!

For some reason I never felt particularly attached to Thane and never romanced him, but his death was absolutely beautiful and very moving.

Omg, his thing in the Citadel dlc at the end... so, so sad. If I had romanced Thane then I would've picked the synthesis ending, because then she could rejoin Thane in death "over/under the sea" AND keep everyone, including EDI alive. However, my Shep romanced Kaidan and once she saw those puppy eyes in the extended cut and his plea for her not to leave him again I HAD to pick destroy. Sorry EDI, I'm sure I can get you back online again like you can with the Geth!

I thought Grunt was great in the Citadel DLC. Wrex was also hysterical, particularly in the combat scenes. Shame there was no Mordin, I was incredibly fond of that Salarian. It was sad I couldn't save him due to a decision I made in ME1 :-(

Do you mean not saving Wrex? Anywhoo, Mordin's content in Citadel is pretty awesome too :]

It was because I saved Wrex in ME1 (I had to read the Wiki to find out how to prevent Mordin's death). I shall have to watch his Citadel scenes on YouTube with a heavy heasrt *sigh*!

Lola - you should be offered a job with the DA writing team. Loved your Cullen scenario!

Lol, I'd get drunk on power and fangirl tears. Just as well I can't spin a decent tale to save my life when it comes to actually trying to turn my ideas into stories, otherwise I'd be bloody terrible!

I always save Wrex as well (love my krogans), and Mordin's content is always the same, regardless whether you save him or not *sadface* You get his pre-recorded messages. I know I should probably clarify that. It's not a full blown appearance but it was lovely anyway :]

Oh gosh, where he yells that he thought Shepard was his friend during the gun fight was heartbreaking. I could never do that to any of the companions. I'm too bloody soft for my own good!

Best I can do so far is suck up to all the devs and hope that some how they like my videos enough for me to start putting subliminal pro-Cullen messages in them! :innocent:

I think with Grunt it was an immediate connection for me simply b/c of the place I was at in my own life. I was recently a first time mother when my husband bought me the game, so I think I sort of projected that motherly attitude on Grunt right from saving him from that tube at the get go. He needed me to survive! I dunno, in some weird way, he reminded me of my kidlet and my motherly instincts sort of took over!

Subliminal message, why didn't I think of that... Hmm, is there any chance that they would rewrite the game if, by some chance, they "forgot" to include Cullen in the cast?

I'm so winding myself up :]

I can't even begin to imagine what the thread will initially be like in here when/if we discover he's a romanceable companion.

Like, literally just before the new hoards of fans start pouring in and a new DA3 Cullen thread is made when it's just us regulars all screaming our heads off LOL!

Trying to catch up! Yes, subliminal Cullen messages. Blahblah, don't understand ME talk. Oh dear, the day we find out he's a romanceable companion... that will be a sight to behold. I do wonder if they'll make a companion thread  then.

I'm reading a virtual celebratory drink and a real box of tissues for both scenarios. Knowing our luck we'll find out just before release :]

I think they need to dose the information, cause we may not survive the tears of joy ;)

I have a bottle of alcohol set aside for either occasion.

"Once Upon a Vine" if he does become a companion/LI - it's chocolaty and fruity!
"Wild Turkey 101 Proof" if he doesn't - it's bitter as h*ll.

Either way, prepare for the alcohol poisoning! XD

The fan art and fanfiction scene should light up if that's the case!
Mind you, if he is going to be in the game, the fan art and fanfic scene will light up too. Either way, it's going to be new juiciness Cullen creativity! ...Man, I got to get cracking on all my Amell and Hawke stuff before I have a new protag to ship him with! Image IPB

@Lola, hence the box of tissues... I guess a celebratory drink will be renamed.
