That's something I hate, actually. The weird torn feeling I get whenever I consider Cullen's possible role as a companion/LI.

The mixed feelings and emotions that swing backwards and forwards in quick succession as I initially get really excited, thinking that he MUST be a sure thing because it seems so obvious, his story and situation couldn't be more ripe for the picking etc.

... And then I remember how equally unlikely it is that he'll be anything more than a cameo/npc and I feel kinda disappointed and bummed out at such wasted potential.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

I mean, if my boyfriend just blew up a chantry, killed some people and triggered a massacre which may or may not kill myself and my friends plus many innocent people, I don't think I'd be wanting him to kiss me either and I think he wants to keep boundaries until futher notice.

This will probably sound corny but if Anders really loved Hawke he'd have grabbed that last kiss whether s/he wanted it or not. I always felt like Anders' romance was a sham in retrospect. Like he used Hawke from the get go for nookie, somewhere to crash and hide, someone to do his dirty work. A means to an end.

It did take him three years to finally say ok to Hawke's advances, even after he spent a long while telling Hawke if you're with me, this won't end well
And well... It didn't.
Personally? I think grabbing the PC (especially a female) and kissing her against her will would not end well.

Red wine is my constant. I might get a 'fancy' bottle to keep on hand for the companion announcements. Hell, I'm gonna drink either way. lol #lush

I'd go for vodka, but I can drink it like water and it only serves to make me angry and more aggressive, lol probably not wise of me to drink that if he's not a companion. Southern Comfort makes me tearful and cider makes me tired, so I'll avoid those too.

Do you have that gut feeling that he will be/won't be? Or are you torn?

I have a gut feeling he will be one and will be genuinely surprised if he is not one, but I will not torch the Bioware castle if he is not. I'll just be slightly disappointed, shrug and get on with the game. I'm sure it'll be great regardless.

Yeah, I don't doubt the game will be great but it would certainly put a bit of a downer on my excitement since I've stupidly let myself assign Cullen as my protagonist's canon LI before even know anything but the sodding thing, lol.
