What
an unbelievably depressing episode of Game of Thrones. I already knew
it was coming reading the books but seeing it...yea. Wow. Not going to
spoil it but if anyone in here watches that they should see the newest
episode. I'm sure someone is going to spoil it because people won't shut
up about it on social media.Jerks.
Serves me right for being behind on my TV viewing.
I know. I wasn't expecting anything shocking because I read the books but everyone was talking about it. Sometimes the show deviates away from the books a bit so I didn't want to get spoiled and watched it quickly. I can't stand spoilers. Someone ruined Heavy Rain's twist for me and that definitely degraded my experience because it was a pretty big twist.
@newschmoo were you being sarcastic with me on Twitter last night? It's hard to detect sarcasm on the internet. I'm leaning to you were but I'm still confused. I could've swore that account was yours.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Nobody will shut up about it on social media lol.

Case in point
I do not discuss Game of Thrones online because of spoilers. Been burned too many times. End of story.

Don't go in the BSN thread because they have people posting spoilers ahead of the show for people who read the book.

Well, maybe not the baby ones. I dunno. I know that some sort of dragon died because I saw someone ****ing about it on Twitter, I think it was an adult one though.

Once she did the impossible and hatched the dragon eggs, and learned that she could not burn, she styled herself "the mother of dragons." The dragon hatchlings are sort of like her children, though it seems like they're more like pets... unknown how smart dragons really are.
So, she's human, or at least seems to be. Maybe has familial magic of some sort. She's really just a young girl.

or I should say I tried, liked it initially, but was then put off by how horrible Daenerys was constantly treated first season
Really did make me feel sick
I'm guessing things get better, by what people say now.

The original writer of the books seems to regard women as a separate species and hence doesn't seem to have a clue as to how to write female characters. He also created an incredibly misogynistic milieu for his novels (wow, so original), as so many white male fantasy authors do... (though many do not, of course).
It's one of the series' great drawbacks. Something Dragon Age does a very good job of avoiding

No dragons have died in the show. Dragons were thought to be extinct for hundreds of years, but Daenerys Targaryen managed to hatch three eggs that were thought "dead." She comes from a family that have historically controlled dragons, but that was centuries ago. She cannot be burned by fire (this is something she discovered when she tried to commit suicide).
She had an idea that if she combined the priestess's death/magic and fire, the eggs would hatch (she had noticed prior that the eggs seemed to respond to heat). If you hear what she says to Mormont and then her speech to her khalasar before she walks into the fire, she gives the impression she knows what she's doing.
You can see that part here:

Look, it's THAT GUY in the rain. Are there enough rain drops?
(Evil Chris: "Today, DA animators are arguing whether there are enough raindrops hitting "that guy" or if they should increase the "close rain" subtlety.")
I know this was already posted, but had to post it again for squeement.

I play it in the background so I'm only partly watching it. Funnily enough I don't tolerate a lot of violence in movies *says so whilst hacking cultists in the game*Batteries wrote...

I prefer books anyway even though with this series I'm on the fence... I would love to not to care about it but the author knows how to pace the story so well, just couldn't stop reading

That's definitely something that doesn't promise a big role :/ Ehh, I guess you could make as many arguments for his inclusion in DA3, as for the lack of appearance. Nonetheless, I refuse to be pesimistic :] Cullen for DA3, in any shape or form! (figure of speech of course, do not want an abomination called Cullen...).LolaLei wrote...
Admittedly, I used to think that my theory on Tonia writing his dialogue was a good sign... but then we found out that she hadn't been long out of her apprenticeship, and then she left.
... Now I see it as more of a sign that he's probably just an npc/cameo.

Anyhoo, I am looking forward to just about anything on DA3. It's too easy to get greedy I suppose, and many of our E3 pool questions are probably to blame. LOL NEVERTHELESS! It'll still be fun to see who wins and becomes King/Queen of the Forum for a day. I think it'll just be harder to decide what the "answers" are for scoring.
Another teaser... amazing macaroni crown! It could all be yours... LOL

it was the whole 'baby genocide' at the beginning of season 2 that I couldn't handle and stopped watching. I've been told it's not that bad and the rest of the season is good, but idk, I just couldn't watch anymore babies die.neonmoth wrote...

I had to snicker at 'abomination Cullen' because that would be awful and so absurd! And just jarring enough that I'd snap and burst into hysterical, stressed crazy lady giggles if something like that happened to him.neonmoth wrote...

I'm still holding on to positive feelings! I honestly believe that if he isn't a companion, he will have a larger NPC role.

Oh, he's definitely in the game 100%, we just don't know in what capacity. I guess that's better than nothing.
