I find that b/c of the way my life seems to carry me, I'm one of those people who misses out on seeing lots of Internet fan favourites on time, which means I have to take bouts of media blackouts, else everything is spoiled for me. While I love the excitement and zest of Internet fandoms, it sucks when you need to avoid, tumblr, Facebook, twitter and whatnot like the plague when you aren't caught up. I guarantee that when DAI comes out, I'll be disappearing for awhile.

Yeah, it's gonna be tricky. Someone from outside of the thread is bound to come in here and spoil something even if we request a blackout. We were thinking about making a private temporary Cullen group to use for a month or so before the games release to avoid being spoiled.

Oooo:

YanickRRoy: "BioWare's focus is on DA3 at E3 this year. And what the team has to show is really nice!"

I wonder if that means we will get a fairly big reveal?

That's a great idea! While I don't mind minor spoilers here and there I absolutely hate when people are selling major plot twists all over the place. I'll probably have to decide when it becomes too hot for my liking but I guess we still have some time.

Really did make me feel sick

I'm guessing things get better, by what people say now.

I play it in the background so I'm only partly watching it. Funnily enough I don't tolerate a lot of violence in movies *says so whilst hacking cultists in the game*

I prefer books anyway even though with this series I'm on the fence... I would love to not to care about it but the author knows how to pace the story so well, just couldn't stop reading :pinched:

it was the whole 'baby genocide' at the beginning of season 2 that I couldn't handle and stopped watching. I've been told it's not that bad and the rest of the season is good, but idk, I just couldn't watch anymore babies die.

I have a love-hate relationship with the story. There is a lot of cruelty in it so it can be hard to manage sometimes. I'm also quite sensitive to animals being killed. For instance I love Nick Cave but I had to drop his book, which was recomended by my friend, when a bunch of kids killed a dog. His portrayal of the situation left me quite disturbed. It was many years ago, so maybe now I would have a slightly different reaction but I'm not tempted.

Oh crap, you would think that being in this thread quite often would leave me better informed. What's this Sprint Review Day about? Is that the teaser of what will be presented at the conference on Monday?

Admittedly, I used to think that my theory on Tonia writing his dialogue was a good sign... but then we found out that she hadn't been long out of her apprenticeship, and then she left.

... Now I see it as more of a sign that he's probably just an npc/cameo.

That's definitely something that doesn't promise a big role :/ Ehh, I guess you could make as many arguments for his inclusion in DA3, as for the lack of appearance. Nonetheless, I refuse to be pesimistic :] Cullen for DA3, in any shape or form! (figure of speech of course, do not want an abomination called Cullen...).

I had to snicker at 'abomination Cullen' because that would be awful and so absurd! And just jarring enough that I'd snap and burst into hysterical, stressed crazy lady giggles if something like that happened to him.
I'm still holding on to positive feelings! I honestly believe that if he isn't a companion, he will have a larger NPC role.

I must admit that I amuse myself with figuring different scenarios that would allow DG to say "I thought you wanted Cullen in DA:I" with an evil smirk whilst leaving us with  faces...

This may be corny, but I would love to see someone all dressed up. Like chicky that does Flemeths voice. Awesomesauce right there.

BTW, I'm really sick again...and I mean really sick...I'm hoping to get it resolved here at home with my fam doc, but if for some reason I'm not on here all of a sudden with in the nx few days for weeks...Uhmm well yeah, could be worse or in hospital. Just a heads up. I don't think it'll get to that...but you never know.

Sprint review happens usually once a month, it's when the devs and writers have a big meeting and show each other all the stuff they've been working on for DA3. The devs like to tweet us subtle and obscure hints about the game to tease us and keep us speculating.

LOL, Nick Cave is notorious for that sort of thing! Hell, almost all of his albums have been depressing as ****!

True :] Funny thing though, I don't mind when he's singing all those creepy songs. I love him...  I've got all his albums, yet I couldn't manage more than just a few pages of his book. Go figure.

I watch a lot of Let's Plays. Been doing it since I was a tot. But back then we didn't do videos we did it by text and loads of screenshots (Walkthroughs). I always wanted to do one on YouTube. A full DA including all the DLCs. I think I will start with Lelianas song, just to see if I can do it. It will be slow progress, because I don't have much time to spend on playing games these days.
What do you think? Bad idea?
(Also, that DanaDuchy.. I'd kill to get a list of the mods she is using AND her character morph.)

I love Cosplay. I love that our community manager loves Cosplay. I'm hoping she is doing an Inquisitor. <3

I like watching Let's Plays too and I subscribe to DanaDuchy's channel. She's very good at editing and I feel the same way about the mods!

I say go for it and see how you go. You might enjoy doing it. The thing with Let's Plays is that everyone plays their games differently and it is good to see a different perspective. And I know what you mean about time. Never enough hours in the day.

Vamp - hope you get better soon.

OK I hope y'all don't mind but I have to off-topic squee. I just finally saw Star Trek, and Andraste's flaming grannie panties, is Benedict Cumberbatch smokin'!!  Oh my stars. That just might tide me over until the next season of Sherlock.

Phew. OK back to your regularly scheduled Cullenfest. :):P

Yeah, it's gonna be tricky. Someone from outside of the thread is bound to come in here and spoil something even if we request a blackout. We were thinking about making a private temporary Cullen group to use for a month or so before the games release to avoid being spoiled.

That's a great idea! While I don't mind minor spoilers here and there I absolutely hate when people are selling major plot twists all over the place. I'll probably have to decide when it becomes too hot for my liking but I guess we still have some time.

Oh maker! If there is such a leak and someone deliberately trots in here to spoil things I will be one displeased gamer! <_< It's a shame we don't have our own little sanctuary that can't be touched. I'd start a fan board elsewhere for us if I had the time.

As for Game of Thrones, I am a fan but haven't had the luxury of watching it regulalrly. I know it did get better for a time. I loved watching Danearys come into her own. Made seeing what she went through possible to take. What happened in Red Wedding? I could only watch it once. Hell, when Joffrey went after all of Robert's bastards, it was easier to stomach because they didn't SHOW the babies being knifed. Watching the kids get it was bad enough... The babies were, as far as I recall, alluded to and that was disturbing alone. But the events of The Rains of Castamere were too much. Like the maternity ward scene in  AVP only more disturbing because it's men doing the bad things. :crying:

Anyhoo...

I hope your doctor can help you Vamp. Being sick blows. :( I'm thankful I don't fall ill often. Do you have an idea of what it is? Or is that too private? I don't want to be rude. Feel better soon! *sends good vibes*

Finally: Hello ladies! And gents. I've missed being here for a bit. I gather I haven't missed anything BIG, right? :D If I suddenly stop replying, this afternoon, it's because I'm waiting for a load to be assigned to me and had to run off, though I'll try to say something first. Internet is spotty here.

Feel like I'm playing hooky...

I haven't seen it yet, though I hope to get to it before it leaves theaters. I've sworn off Tumblr though because off all the spoilery gifs that have been popping up.  I have heard a LOT of squeeing over Ben. I kind of like him from Sherlock but nothing else, sadly. Something about the dark hair and pale skin with those eyes. Which! He has had those eyes all his life! You know how people change so much that their infant selves look nothing like them? Benedict's eyes were the same even when he was still swaddled! I reposted something to Tumblr - just before I swore it off - that has several notable various fandom faces from their childhoods. Tom Hiddleston has the BIGGEST cheeks and bright blue eyes ever! And Benedict looks at the camera like he's staring out into the vast sea of people that will view the image for years to come and seeing them and thinking "Oh hello."

Ahem... anyhoo... Back to the Knight Captain...  :D
