I find that b/c of the way my life seems to carry me, I'm one of those people who misses out on seeing lots of Internet fan favourites on time, which means I have to take bouts of media blackouts, else everything is spoiled for me. While I love the excitement and zest of Internet fandoms, it sucks when you need to avoid, tumblr, Facebook, twitter and whatnot like the plague when you aren't caught up. I guarantee that when DAI comes out, I'll be disappearing for awhile.
Yeah, it's gonna be tricky. Someone from outside of the thread is bound to come in here and spoil something even if we request a blackout. We were thinking about making a private temporary Cullen group to use for a month or so before the games release to avoid being spoiled.
That's a great idea! While I don't mind minor spoilers here and there I absolutely hate when people are selling major plot twists all over the place. I'll probably have to decide when it becomes too hot for my liking but I guess we still have some time.
I don't mind details like who the companions/LI's are going to be and stuff, but if there's a leak about the game or Cullen then I don't want to come in to the thread and discover that some douche bag has plastered it in here and ruined the surprise for everyone, lol.
Oh maker! If there is such a leak and someone deliberately trots in here to spoil things I will be one displeased gamer! <_< It's a shame we don't have our own little sanctuary that can't be touched. I'd start a fan board elsewhere for us if I had the time.
As for Game of Thrones, I am a fan but haven't had the luxury of watching it regulalrly. I know it did get better for a time. I loved watching Danearys come into her own. Made seeing what she went through possible to take. What happened in Red Wedding? I could only watch it once. Hell, when Joffrey went after all of Robert's bastards, it was easier to stomach because they didn't SHOW the babies being knifed. Watching the kids get it was bad enough... The babies were, as far as I recall, alluded to and that was disturbing alone. But the events of The Rains of Castamere were too much. Like the maternity ward scene in AVP only more disturbing because it's men doing the bad things.
Anyhoo...
I hope your doctor can help you Vamp. Being sick blows.

I'm thankful I don't fall ill often. Do you have an idea of what it is? Or is that too private? I don't want to be rude. Feel better soon! *sends good vibes*
Finally: Hello ladies! And gents. I've missed being here for a bit. I gather I haven't missed anything BIG, right?

If I suddenly stop replying, this afternoon, it's because I'm waiting for a load to be assigned to me and had to run off, though I'll try to say something first. Internet is spotty here.
Feel like I'm playing hooky...
