I feel like that's sort of the guy he grew into by the end of the game. It was neat having a companion who didn't have his stuff together at first, and you got to be a big part of that journey.

It seems like we'll at least have a few more mature companions LI potentials. If indeed Cass and Cullen are in it, and companions. They're in their 30's somewhere. It would be a nice change.

It wouldn't have work otherwise if Alistair is a capable leader. Although it would not happen unless you harden Alistair since he would become a puppet of that jerk Eamon, unless you stay behind as the queen or his counselor.

LOL, it'll be interesting to see our noob protagonist around a bunch of veterans. I quite like the idea that the group is full of seasoned professionals in their own field, especially if those listed in the survey leak are our companions:

Iron Bull is a seasoned merc/fighter
Cullen is a seasoned warrior/templar
Cassandra is a seasoned warrior/Seeker
Sera is a skilled and seasoned thief/rogue
Dorian is a skilled and seasoned Tervinter magister

And then there's our protagonist, who's a noob thrown into the Inquisition under (currently) unknown circumstances LOL!

I honestly can't see Cullen rocking long hair. At least not intentionally. I think he's too much of the military man at heart to let it grow past his ears and keep it that way. Long-ish is one thing, but ponytail long? Hmm... I could be way off, but I'd need more convincing to be sure! ;D

Let's not forget that from the hair he had in both previous games, we can pretty safely infer that his natural hair texture is pretty kinky/wooly-curly, not soft-curly. It just is what it is!

When you put it this way it does not sound very heroic. The inspirational story of the Inquisitor, who was a tag-along to a bunch of heroes... Oh the uproar of the masses

I think if he's been locked up for months/years somewhere then it would make sense for us to find him looking like a hippy since he wouldn't be able to shave or cut his hair. I don't imagine he'd want to keep his new look though and would likely shave and cut it right back to how it was originally once "in camp".

I think it would be a bit weird if we rescued him from a dungeon in DA3 and he's still looking clean cut... unless he'd been in there for only a week, lol.

But we will be a noob. It's not really possible for our protagonist to have a heroic past like the others because otherwise we would've heard/known about him/her sooner. So we're still going to be a noob, even if we're a skillful noob.

Yep, that's exactly what I meant! The poor boy can't stop his hair from growing, of course, and it's possible if our drunk-escapist!Cullen idea came to pass he'd be too booze-soaked to notice or care, but once he got down to business I don't think he'd want hair long enough to ponytail. Just my take, though!
