I wouldn't mind if the protagonist was called Vilkas, though it would make me think of Skyrim a lot, lol

Wolf in french is Loup. Sounded out it's Lu. So...if protag is Orlesian....

To me...The pic does look like Gyphon and Wolf. Maybe depending what path you come from, decides your parents. Wardens? Orlesians? Tervinter maybe?

Maybe those are twins like I said. Got seperated at birth, or each took on traits of their parents.

Kind of like, if you are twin A, then this is who you take after. So twin b is like beth carver situation. But instead of getting two sibs, you only get one and the twin you get depends on what you pic. Hense maybe the entire roomer of the trans thing. Maybe if you pick female, then your twin has to be fem too.

Ok, now look at the dude in the far corner on his computer, see his computer screen? If you follow the link and look at the picture in big you can see what looks like artwork of two people one on the left and one on the right (the one on the right has been half cut off), behind them appears to be smokey shadows of a birds face (on the left) and possibly a wolf or a dragon (on the right).

I wonder if perhaps this is part of the artsy intro they do at the begin of each game? Perhaps the image is meant to represent Hawke and the Warden and their disappearance?

My first thought upon seeing this pic: Jesus Christ we need to get more women in the industry

They have the same stance, but the lower cape in the picture that you posted looks like the cape from the female "twin"/protagonist.

Unless there's some truth to that transgender rumor... Or the artist just decided to give him more of a cape. But I agree, the two male bodies look the same.  Which makes me wonder about the "twin" idea, and if they are sister and brother mages, if one morphs into a wolf, and the other morphs into a bird?

Maybe our surname won't be literally Wolf, but something related to it? For example, what do wolves do? Hunt = Hunter. Etc.

Well, Ferelden does have a longstanding history with werewolves. Most of the Ferelden nobility is believed to be distantly related to them.

(real werewolves, mind you -- not the folks cursed in DA:O)

Dude, I don't want to be a jerk, but I would be my life's savings on those two on the left NOT being twin companions. For one thing, we already did twins in DAII. For another, the survey comes right out and asks how you'd feel about playing a character that looks like *this* (meaning the subjects of those drawings).

This suspense is killing me. Just a few more days and it will end. What sucks for me is my sister is down for the next week and I won't be able to follow E3 like I want to. Going to have to rely on here to get all the deets.
