I've got standard procedure for dealing with spiders in my house: 1. don't panic, 2. see wheher bf is at home, if not go to #3, 3. assess whether spider is likely to escape, if yes, close your eyes and hit it with something hard (later ask bf to clean it), 4. if not locate and use spider trap, 5 ask bf to dispose the victim. Seriously, though, what scares me more than gigantic spiders are swarms of larger-than-normal-but-still-not-huge spiders that can overwhelm and crawl all over you en masse.

Any type of spiders in swarms would cost me sanity loss. I hate fast running ones as well

Wooah, shivers up my spine. That's why I hate walking in tight pine forests, not possible without a stick in front of you or you finish with a big fat spider on your face.
