I thought it was Flemeth at first, too. Then I realized it was Morrigan. Some people think it doesn't sound like her. I think it does, but she sounds. Tired? And a little sad. Also wondering if the disappearances of the Warden and Hawke are because of her, with the mirror. I think they either disappeared for sinister purposes, or for safe keeping.

Yeah, initially I thought it was Flemeth but Morrigan has a distinctive voice and it was definitely her VO.

I just realized something. If Flemeth's VO was recording for DAI (and DG mentioned working with her on his blog), then there is no chance she could possess Morrigan's body since she would then only need Morrigan's VO :(( Hence Flemeth is more likely to appear as good old self. Hear my hopes have crumbled...

Anyway, back to the schedule, I would be more inclined to believe that Flemeth stashed my Warden and Hawke somewhere :]

Considering I love Flemeth's actual VA and character design... I'm actually relieved at the thought she hasn't taken over Morrigan, now that I think of it.

True, I didn't think about it until you pointed it out

I do think it's kinda telling how they brought back Morrigan for the trailer, instead of Flemeth. Flemeth has been thru 2 games, and helped out the PC. Always figured she had ulterior motives, and then we find out our PCs have disappeared, and Morrigan always knew more than she was willing to say. Ah!! I want answers. It's gonna be a long wait. Gonna have to stack up a giant mountain of hobbies to tie me over. Need that fantasy fix.

What I noticed was that it's obviously still Morrigan, but they really went to the effort of making her resemble her mother. Alistair was right, she does have her mother's nose! I like what I saw of the new duds, too.

I remember Leliana wanting to get her in a dress, a red one. With gold trim? And now she's in one! But it's purple.. Very nice looking, though. I also liked the beauty marks/freckles they added to her skin. Wasn't a fan of the giant pores most people had in 2, but I like the little details they added to them in the trailer. The freckles, the scars, etc.. I hope in the CC we have the option of adding scars and the like.

Probably that's why I jumped on the bandwagon thinking/hoping that maybe Flemeth took Morrigan's body. It seems that Morri was styled for the similar role Flem (sic!) had in DA2, i.e. as the knowledgeable but indifferent entity, whose role in the story is not known. I was afraid she would replace her :crying:

I hope not! I want to see a little more interaction between those two. How much did/does Morrigan actually know about Flemeth's plans at this point? Does she agree with her? Will she be helping her, or will they clash?

I think Morrigan and Flemeth aren't one. It seemed to me Morrigan was still in the Eluvian, so I think she's safe there... for now...

So I'm doubling check my E3 pool tally I did half asleep last night, and I'll post it up shortly.

Some of you folks were zoning in on the devs I think! But so far, there IS only one winner.

The background was like an abyss at the end of video. So maybe she's still in it. Who knows.

Whoa! I've seen folks mentioning that her dress had an orlesian feel to it but hello, that's a fashion change from DAo's 'rags' Now I wonder why Morrigan would wear posh Orlesian clothes, hmmm.....

@PB93: important fashion considerations ;] why would she wear those fancy clothes still in Eluvian? *though I get your point, considering her surroundings.

Wow , you're right R2!
So I guess it's a semi confirmed rumor ,Morrigan is in Orlais.
Judging by the dress , not living in the wood...

(oh And I found out why I couldn't speak on Skype , I didn't plug the mic ...I just forget I had to plug the headset and the mic...I feel so so stupid!)

Cause Morrigan has hot bewbs?

Seriously, it's just because she's popular with the fanboys. The DA Facebook page has "Morrigan Mondays" even, during which they display sexy Morrigan fanart on a weekly basis. It's like, hello DA, you do have other characters.

GOOD CATCH! :o My guess is it's more a shout out to the fans though. A wink wink nod nod thing. See, I'm convincing myself we won't actually have to meet her in the game

yeah, the more I thought about it, the more I was thinking that it would be a cool new twist on the origin. That it's not so much a racial/ethnic( for lack of a better description?) origin like DA:O, but a more career-oriented origin. You're a: templar, seeker, 'rebel' mage, Orlesian assassin for the crown, Tevinter magister ...? I dunno, it would be a little different, esp since we don't get a choice of races this time.

This is a cool idea, although hopefully you aren't forced to be a seeker or templar just because you don't want to play as a mage!

Taste of denial is goood  I agree that they would go for something exposing her boobs in some shape or form but to put her in all those fancy layers only for fanboys? There must be some meaning in it...Especially that DG mentioned about writing her in his blog. Though I hope she is not a follower. I love her, but I really don't want to revisit her in DAi as a companion. Even less so as LI..

That's my problem. It seems to deterministic since warrior would have to be a templar or a seeker and mage could only be from circle...

Edit: unless those who don't want to be associated with Chantry could be grey wardens. But then again we already played as a warden.

Didn't they do a Fenris Friday thing? I dunno, I'm actually pretty exited to see Morrigan again and what she's been doing with the mirrors and such. Totally my wardens bestie!

Of that I am curious as hell. Similarly to Narcia I hope for some interesting Morrigan-Flemeth interaction.
She was also my canon warden's bestie *sniff* #whydidshehavetoshaggmyboy

I hope she will be an NPC who may help the Inquisitor at point, a bit like Flemeth in DA2.

I am v intrigued about Morrigan wearing an Orlesian noble's dress (v good spot).

I feel I need two canon playthroughs now, one with OGB and one without.

Oh the possibilities...

Isn't that DG mentioned at some point that he regretted including OGB twist in the story? That's why I'm thinking it might be only mentioned or non-existent in dai. But maybe it's just my wishful thinking and suiting arguments to my liking. Or DG is playing with our minds ;]

Maybe the rings could represent companions too

Seeker = Cassandra

Templar = Cullen

Circle ring/Red glowly ring = Dorian?

Circle ring/Red glowly ring = Another mage?

Possible Grey Warden ring = Beardy Warden Guy?
Now I'm just stretching it to stretch it :P and maybe a little bored.

The protag origin idea is my bet.
Hopefully the red glowly ring represents tevinter, it would suck to have to be a circle mage.

Unless I can be a templar mage. :wizard:

He did say at some point that OGB is not canon. That if you didn't do the ritual in your game, there's no OGB. Therefore... makes it hard to make Morrigan a companion if there's that huge random variable in her story. Unless she's, like, absent mom and rarely talks about her kid...
