I don;t really like things just for the "cool" factor. It throws me off the scent. I don't like rummaging thru things only to find out it has no meaning. It was just cool. Granted, that's a personal problem. I know.

I like for things w/sum meaning/connection to also have the "cool" factor.

And that thumb ring. See, that's the kinda thing that as soon as it's hidden, I'm more curious.

Yeah, the thumb ring, I'll bet means something. The dragon on the helmet could easily mean as much as the fact that the same circlet is found on: Meredith, Andraste, the red lyrium idol...  Coincidence? Common Thedosian fashion statement...?

With Cassandra being revealed as one of the companions (remember how David Gaider showed a picture of how we can change the outfit of our "companion" using Cassandra concept art?), there is a high chance Cullen is a part of the companions. I'm not against Varric being a LI. While I'm not interested in him, I do see that he has a lot of fans. I just don't want him to replace Cullen. If Cullen is one of the LIs, then I don't mind if Varric is a LI as well. 2 LIs are really not enough. lol

Drake seems pretty common-tongue, I think that would work well for the protagonist.

Yeah! Why not 3 males and 3 females? ME seemed to be just teeming with LI's. Mind you, as much as I'm on board for more LI options, I really don't want story lines to suffer b/c of it.

Yeah, there are still no confirmations yet. I am curious, though, why you think Cass being a companion would then mean there's a high chance of Cullen as well...?

i can't see them using Drake as a name simply because it is a name already associated with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

I'm just being positive right now. It couldn't hurt that we still have one more year. If they have 3 LIs, they could actually do sexual orientation and quiet all the complains about guys being afraid to be hit on. Although if they did do sexual orientation, I hope Cullen is the bisexual option, mainly for my selfishness. . Anyway, the reason why we can't have 3 and 3 is because Mr. Gaider makes the characters and storyline first before deciding the LIs, so I guess there just wasn't enough LI to fit his criteria.

I have this horrible feeling that we'll get a cameo from Anders in DAI (if you kept him alive) and he'll show up looking rough as hell (like in that hidden image of him found in the DA2 files), I hope he doesn't end up looking like that since I worked my butt off to friendmance him so that Justice wouldn't take over.

True, but you never know. There are a whole bunch of Morrigans and Carvers in different games and that didn't stop them using it.

it would severely break my heart to see Anders like that. I don't even want to think about it. That hidden image still haunts me!

Like I said, I'm just being postiive. It seems like they were mapping out concept arts for the characters. They didn't dress Cullen in just a generic templar armor, they actually give him a unique outfit with a templar sig on it. Greg Ellis was voicing him a while back. I'm just hoping that it means Cullen is one of the LIs based simply on one of the concept characters being revealed as a companion.

this is harder than i thought. trying to find a dragon motif surname. something kinda straightforward, but not too obvious. it's gotta roll off the tongue and not be like "Humbaba" from the epic of gilgamesh. i don't think that would work well.

I think he will look more rugged... We may see some scruff. Imperfections in his skin... freckles or moles, etc. In short, he will look hot lol

I agree, he's probably look more rugged and imperfections, just look at Alistair.

Maybe even some scares...We might be entering this story after the veil has already ripped and the Templar/mage war may be the intro to our new Protag's story

Ok, how about this for a twist:

What if that dude with the rings is actually Lord Seeker Lambert and Cole wasn't able to actually kill him in the Asunder novel? I mean, the book ends before we see if Cole was actually successful so for all we know he might have been interrupted or Lambert was ready for him.
