Next time he mentions anything to do with Dragon Age we better screen-cap and not just quote.
Funny thing, I thought they have merged symbols of both the Seekers and Templars in this one.R2s Muse wrote...
So here's my other fun find of the day... Inquisition heraldry on the Seeker dudes' armor.
Yes, altho original Inquisition was split into templars and seeker... so in principle the logo was 'unmerged.' LOLneonmoth wrote...

Ok, here's the thread where Allan mentions about the trailer:

I love how some people are so entitled, they think they can tell the people that made the trailer that it's not in-engine graphics <_<
I took a peek into one of the threads on the DAI forums, and it just seems to be a lot of "Morrigan looked like a haggard old witch!" and "Cassandra has a man jaw!" Out of all that beautiful scenery, the crazy detail of the wet skin of the Qunari and the vast possibilites of places and events we will be seeing, that is what you focus on?

I'm with you on that one. I thought that the characters looked brilliant. I know it is a matter of taste and some may find them not as appealing but the level of exaggeration on the forum annoys me to no end.Lord Xendria wrote...
Comments from those types make me wonder if we even watched the same trailer. "haggard old witch"? Really? I just don't see it! Don't see how they could come to that conclusion.
I try to stay away from all that vitriol. Same with reading the comments on news articles, etc.. Only reason I de-lurked in here is because this thread actually seems to have an overwhelming amount of decent and nice people. Excluding the occational troll that pops up in order to stir sh!t.
Glad the devs aren't taking it to heart.

I thought the same thing Newschmoo , it looks a bit like a Knight templar cross.(not KT from DA).
Yeah, DotS is a tough one... esp since in the making of video Mike Laidlaw explicitly said, "this is canon" ... in spite of some of the dodginess with the timing/Divine. I do wish they'd tell us more about the hierarchy, etc. WoT just said the the structure is parallel to templar hierarchy, except that the most senior seekers outrank any templar.brushyourteeth wrote...
I would really like to know just how many Seekers there actually are. As far as I know the lore doesn't give us a very good idea. The "Dawn of the Seeker" movie probably comes the closest and I don't know if we can trust that as canon. :/
I never thought there were many of them since they meant to be an elite. On the other hand those Inquisition forces displayed in the teaser look considerably large. I haven't rewad Asunder, did all of the Templars rebelled or were there some loyal ones (who potentially could join Inquisition)?brushyourteeth wrote...

I'm puzzled by the Inquisition. It seems that the slot of the hero/leader of the Inquisition is already taken by Cassandra. How our pc will fit in all this mess. Unless they put Cass just for the sake of teaser.

You could be onto something and we're not the Inquisitor. Maybe the Inquisition is a new order created under Lambert (or his successor) or something? A mergence of the Templars and Seekers in order to stop the mage revolt!
I am confused! But good to speculate!
I was thinking that it would be an interesting twist if GW did something that enraged the rest of Thedas. Maybe not siding with demons but maybe something a la Bregan's agreeing with Architect's idea in The Calling. Alas, Lola posted this useful link to Allan Schumacher saying that "The only hesitation one might put on "in game" is that upon playing the game at release, someone might go "Hey, where's that scene of the Qunari slowly turning around? I didn't see that in my game!" You might not see a scene that actually has Cassandra stabbing daggers into tables, and you might not come across a scene where Varric is looking over some dead bodies."Newschmoo wrote...

I hope so, I do like a bit of reference to medieval history.
Just watched the trailer a few times and some DA fan's take on it. Looks amazing.
It seems as if the fortress shown maybe Weisshaupt, but it also looks like the Seekers are attacking it. If that is the case, why would they attack the Grey Wardens? I thought the GWs tended to be more 'neutral' and only concerned with Darkspawn.

Naw, Aaryn Flynn confirmed that we're playing as the Inquisitor and are job is to do something about the Fade breach in the sky.

Did he? Wow, I'm amazed how much I missed even though I have watched his interview several times. I assume then that Cass is just temporarily filling the spotlight :] I'm not surprised that many people who are not very knowledgable about the game thought she was a protagonist. My bf thought as well (though he never played DA games).LolaLei wrote...

^^This indicates that whatever we saw might not necessarily be in the game.

Yeah, he says it as a passing comment during the interview right at the end. Something like "You will play as the Inquisitor who has to put a stop to the Fade breach in the sky".
I was ok with the Stolen Throne but DG definitely improved with the Calling. It provided more interesting info about the darkspawn, grey wardens and the calling itself. I haven't read the Asunder yet, but the general consensus here was that it was the best book so far :]Newschmoo wrote...
Ahh, thanks for the link. Haven't read The Calling yet (have to finish The Stolen Throne first, but at the moment not finding it as enjoyable to read as Asunder).
