I have a question I've been mulling over - a lot of our companions have had quirks or weaknesses that you learn about as you get to know them. Mostly in DA:O since I thought the DAII characters weren't explored as deeply, but anyway... Alistair has his weird obsession with cheese, Morrigan has never had a friend or a material possession to call her own and Wynne actually loves booze (who knew?!)
So if we got to know Cullen whether it was bromance or romance, what could you see his secret interests/obsessions/hobbies being?
Oooo good one!
Hm, I think it would be cute and kinda funny to discover he had a soft spot for cheesy romantic novels, a vice he picked up during his time in the Circle Tower whilst killing time on duty. I'd also like to catch him singing to himself... just 'cause Greg Eliis has an amazing voice, which seems a shame to let go to waste... although funnier still, would be if Cullen couldn't sing at all LOL.

And, then...
and my favorite... who knew that Varric breaks the fourth wall...?
Yeah, I agree. I was a little disappointed. My *real* answer is that I hate sh!t like that. I usually laugh at the stupid knick-knacky things they package with extra, super-special editions of things. Plus, this question didn't seem to be about the new game at all, but once we have it and presumably "love" it, what kind of incentive would we need to give them even more money for a special edition of it. I mean, if we're real fans, won't we have bought it already? How many will buy it a second time? The more I think about it, the more annoyed I am now... <_<LolaLei wrote...

It's all about merchandising so I'm a bit disappointed. They just want to know what you're interested in buying and how much you'll pay for it, really. It's an honest question but lackluster, IMO.
If they make a good game then I'd pay ridiculous amounts, if its **** then it doesn't matter what little nic-nacs they give away with the game people wouldn't buy it lol.
Oooh, I thank you anyway. That's purty!! I love all the detail on his, erm, skirt. Also, I love the symbolism of the naked blade. It always symbolizes his duty to me, and how it's always present. I mean, he's in a rumpled bed with (presumably) his lover, and yet the sword is there, ready.MissRedZelda wrote...
LIVE, THREAD!
Here's some more shirtless Cullen/Surana goodness. No need to thank me ;-)

Ah, Berelinde, I like the "train guy" idea. Also, @RedZelda, I see him being a reader as well. I guess that goes with my "thinking man" sterotypes.berelinde wrote...
Gah. I killed the thread. And we were doing so well, too.
What color underwear do we think Cullen wears?
And I still want to hear more about his hobbies. After a lot of thought, I've decided that I can imagine him constructing scale models of religious architecture in his free time. He strikes me as a "train guy," and that's the closest Theodosian equivalent I can come up with.
Edit: It seems that RedZelda and I were on a similar wavelength...
Was she the one who thought he used to be a (shirtless) horse-washer before he put on a skirt and joined the templars?R2s Muse wrote...
Heh heh or we could borrow one of SamaraDraven's ideas and he could be a really good pickpocket from his days as a nefarious street urchin.

Heh heh, I don't recall that one but... oh dear, now the image won't go away... like some White Snake video, I see slow-mo water splashing and come-hither eyes. LMAOberelinde wrote...

As endearing as a young, nefarious street urchin Cullen would be, I can't imagine that without thinking of him stammering an apology after every mark.

What a pity it is that nobody in DA2 actually performs manual labor anywhere. It would be so much fun do do a face/body swap, FRAPS filming, and then dub in music.LolaLei wrote...
Hehehe, that's a parody video in the making if ever I've heard one!

LOL I fully support this project!
Hmm, what about the workers in Hubert's mine? Or, is that really just milling about? I'm sure we could think of SOMETHING. Besides... it sounds like SOMEONE actually has those skills with FRAPS...?:DAlas it is not me!

Allacia is the author of those fun Cullen DA:O vids, like the wedding and Wynne's warning. Maybe she'd be looking for another project!berelinde wrote...

If somebody could point me to a scene where people are working, I could handle the movie part, but...
Wait. It would be possible to do as a DA:O video. There are no horses, but there are carts. If only I were better at scripting. But I'm not. DA scripting confuses the living hells out of me. Do we know anybody who can script using the DA:O engine?

Zots are resources: money, creative development, and man-hours. Essentially, it all comes down to money. When there is only so much to go around, they have to prioritize. It's tempting to blame it all on the limited hard-drive space and memory allocation of consoles compared to "gaming rig" PCs, but the reality is that if they wanted to include something badly enough, they would find a way to make it happen.
He loves it. He hates it. He needs it. Ah, the humanity!R2s Muse wrote...
Anyway, guess I'll have to keep my beefcakey notions to myself, then. LOL Poor Cullen, SO objectified lately.
Seconded on both counts!LolaLei wrote...

I dunno about the other girls but I romanced the sh!t out of Alistair!
What's your theory? I'm curious.
berelinde wrote...
I romanced Alistair. I also romanced Zevran, although I liked Alistair better.
I used to have a serious thing for templars... before DA2. I *love* clean-cut guys who understand duty and responsibility. (swoons) I don't like people who abuse their authority and betray the trust of those they are supposed to protect. Cullen seems to take his obligations seriously.
