Hmph.....all this waiting for DAI is making me really want to buy a new game, even though there's about a thousand other more responsible things I need to be saving up for. Defiance looks really interesting, but I need a good group of people to play with before committing to a new MMO like that. Has anyone tried Last of Us or Remember Me yet?

I haven't personally tried it, but seems like everyone on Twitter's going nuts over Last of Us.

And Defiance the TV show sucks if that helps at all....

Haha, it does actually. I doubt the story of the game will be any better than the plot of the show, so yea I guess I'll just stick w/ SWTOR for now. I would shell out money for Last of Us, but it's only for the PS3 :(

The Last of Us has a predictable story line, otherwise the stealth mechanics, weaponry, and the characters are great. I give it a 7 out of 10, but y'all might like it more than I did.

I'm looking for other games to play too, it's hard. :( I just tried going back to Dragon's Dogma, and even though I love that game I was already frustrated as hell with all the traveling.

I tried going back to Skyrim with a promise to myself that I'd do the damn story this time. That didn't hold up, as I quickly went back to my usual Elder Scrolls game play by... stealing everything not nailed down, nicking horses, turning mammoths on their giant owners, and not caring that I'm meant to be fighting dragons. Woops.

While I'm waiting for DA:I, I thought I might in a few months try Amazon Prime for watching movies. They have back episodes of Dr.Who which I like. Anyone try them or Netflix?

Haha, tell me about it! If a game allows me to steal, then I becoma klepto.

"Okay, let's go to the jarl and let him know a dragon is on the-ohh, this door is unlocked!" *knicks everything in the house, in the next house, all over town, gets caught by the guard, escapes, knicks a horse, runs to next town, repeats*
-Living the high life much later...-
"Wasn't there a quest I was supposed to be doing?" *sees pretty amulet* "Must have been nothing."

I actually really liked Netflix, but since I'm low on money these days I go to Let Me Watch This and watch whatever I like for free.

I should start watching Dr. Who and Sherlock, come to think of it...

Lessee: Some games I enjoyed recently...hmmm..

L.A. Noire I just recently got. Loved that game. Set character but wow such a great story. And I never knew that simply trying to question ppl could be so tense. Gripping. Very investigative. Putting the clues together. Great npc characters, too. Luvd it. You have to get past the first few minutes of tutorial tho.

Uh, Sleeping Dogs was very good. Open world. But set character. Still a really fun game. And more kung fu moves than shooting all the darn time.Really enjoyed it.

I've done the same. It's actually quite therapeutic to type up arguments to stupid crap, and then just delete it and not post. That's what I've found, anyway.

So true :P I'm back to avoiding the DA3 forums after giving in to boredom recently and trolling my way through a couple threads. That place really brings out the worst in people... including me lol

Found this lovely gif/character swap: LINK

I'm playing Remember Me right now, I'm not a huge fan of the combat and the camera always wigs out on me terribly, but the visuals are very pretty, the story is interesting, and I like remixing memories.  Some of the voice acting is meh, though (not Nilin's, her voice actress is good).

I thought Defiance was pretty fun -- nothing amazing, but fun. I've never seen the show. You don't really need a big group to enjoy it either, I did it all solo. Maybe wait for a good deal during a sale or something, if you pick it up.

I absolutely adore the show! The series is really interesting (Defiance) So I am hoping the game would be good.

I used to be a loyal Netflix customer... Since like they started up in California, but I find their streaming selection atrocious so finally I quit them. It's better in the TV arena than movies, I found, in contrast to Amazon, which seems to have more studio agreements for their movie selection. So I was going to switch to Amazon Prime... Til I needed a whole new box to stream to my TiVo. Now I just download from amazon. I <3 them. LOL

Anyhoo, so that's my experience, which I think depends on what you want to watch. But Netflix does have some quality TV... Dr who! Sherlock! Lots o BBC as well as American stuff.

Going back to Cullen's humor or lack thereof, you can find Cullen's used and unused DA:O dialogue at the link below.

I'll never understand why some artists don't sign their finished pieces.
I get not signing sketchy roughs and WIPs, but finished pieces should have a signature.

^^Thanks R2! I actually tried to find it recently and failed :]
I can see Cullen to have a very subtle, dry sense of humour, present more for his own amusement than to entertain others. Coming more from the genuine observation than purposeful search for the pun. It could take few seconds to settle in mind of the pc to realized he said something funny and could be lost on the 'thicker' types. I also like his stoicism and seriousness and think it would work.

As for The Last of Us, it is too linear and, as Phantom mentioned, too predictable for my taste. Still the gameplay is great and engaging, especially if you like stealth and survivalist mechanics. The graphics are stunning and the pacing is top notch. My bf absolutely loved it and for him it's the best game he played in some time. I am too spoiled by having some control over characters in my favourite games to settle on passive watching the cutscenes but ymmv. For what it's worth it can be fun.

Even thought I have a pile of games to play, cause I am always behind, I want a new Bio game since they are always very special and fit in this particular niche in my gaming experience that cannot be filled by different developer. Not mentioning that I can replay them to death.

I agree with neonmoth about Cullen's sense of humor. We haven't gotten to see it much in the last two games (he hasn't really been involved in the funniest or happiest scenes so far) but hopefully if he is a companion in DA:I it will be explored more widely. Perhaps his sense of humor has evolved to work with his occasional shyness as he isn't by any means an "in your face" type of character.

I wonder if he has lost some of the mentioned shyness he had back in DAO and DA2. The times are certainly becoming more grim and I would also assume he is/ will be moving up in rank. He seems like a confident man when it comes to his work so perhaps the shyness and stuttering will only become present again if he is a romance option?
