I think the lady in the concept art is wearing a mask... that or she's a zombie LOL!

Yeah, I figure she's wearing the typical Orlais mask thing. Of course, we wouldn't be able to recognize Morrigan with one... maybe that will be her cool reveal in game??

If you compare her to the Orlesian dude, she's def wearing a mask.

Interestingly enough... the Tevinter lady looks like she is, too. Unless women typically wear craploads of white face powder in both countries!

That would be a fun way to introduce her. See this woman in a ball gown lurking around being mysterious, then later she removes the hat and mask somewhere away from the bulk of the crowd and it's Morrigan.

What if she's that woman people keep talking about? The one that's supposed to be the best at "the game"?

Morrigan's gloves go higher on her arm, too. Overall, liking how the dress looks "in person" better than the concept art. Esp that necklace!

I don't think anyone has yet. What's the woman's name supposed to be?

Oh wait, I mean people in-game and in the Asunder novel/WoT etc. They mention some woman who is supposed to be of importance amongst the Orlesian nobility, she's supposed to know everything there is to know about "the game" and stuff.

I don't know. What I meant was that I have no idea what you're talking about. :crying: Where was all this discussion taking place? Is it from the new book summary?

edit: I see. I don't remember that at all!  I'll take alook later. that would be sweeeet!

Dowager Lady Mantillon, although looking at it now it probably isn't.

Ok, so basically there was some talk of "the dowager" being the most important person in that whole "game of intrigue" thing, I thought maybe it might be Morrigan, but it's more like that she's some old bird.

http://dragonage.wik..._of_the_Dowager

Would be cool if it was Morrigan though.

'The game' ... This all makes it very like the Game of Thrones :P
Though that's not a bad thing of course, it depends what falls under 'the game'.

From what I can tell, it's about the Orlesian nobility back stabbing and practicing one upmanish as they rise through the ranks 'n' stuff. Typical social politics within the upper class, basically. Lol.

I like this from that codex:

"One thing is certain, however. If you must have the best society in Orlais, ask a dance of the dowager. "

yeah, I've read this in other fantasy settings, as well, that it's all the spying and intrigue and politics that go on.

The dowager could be of use to us in DAI then.

Oh man, I clearly did not read enough of the codex entries during MotA! There's some cool stuff there. I may have to go play again. I think I was so anxious about getting caught snooping around upstairs that I didn't take time to look at anything.

I bet there's some DAI hints in there too, we should probably do some extensive research.

Well a dowager is almost always an old woman because it is a rich widow, basically. So like the dowager duchess is a woman who was married to the duke; there is of course now a new duchess (probably her son), and his wife is now the proper duchess, but she is now given the title "dowager duchess."

Forgive me if everyone already knew this and I just sounded like a pompous ass
