I think it's because a lot of the armour in DA games looks kinda rubbish so I end up putting them in some skimpy thing because it's the most attractive looking outfit available.

Ah, they are often so much prettier. My brain handwaves its effectiveness as armor as 'a wizard did it.'

Well, not to get all social sciencey, but if there were better representation of women in these games, just as many women in skimpy armor as regular clothes, then we wouldn't care who wore what. So, no, I don't  think it's hypocritical. It's your game.

And... my resounding answer of YES reminds me of this beaut by ladyshamen from ages ago.

Honestly it would be so freaking weird if the tables were turned, and I don't get how the men making these games don't see how ridiculous it is to constantly put women in these kinds of outfits.  How on earth do you not see it??

LOL I know. Outfits... and poses, which is part of why that Lara Croft thing is so funny. This reminds me of the Hawkeye Initiative, which if you haven't seen is a hoot! Artists putting poor Hawkeye in some of the same positions as female comic book characters.

Here's to some equal opportunity eye candy. Man oh man, can you imagine the mods that will emerge if Cullen is an honest to goodness companion in the next game? The armor above seems a good candidate... LOL

Unless you're looking for appearance mods, then there aren't any. Even something that changes his looks might be hard to find, I never tried.

My DD pawn is covered from head to toe  With like chainmail armor, and a cape, and boots with wicked-looking bones protruding from the knees.

I love the clothing in Dragon's Dogma. All that mixing and matching! I usually dress my character how I dress in real life. Mostly covered up and unisexual. And if available, more pants, suit, and non-skirt/dress options, though some are so attractive I can't help but want to wear them anyway.

I think what bothers people about the skimpy outfits, but you're okay at the same time if you put it on your character is because then it's your choice. Versus having, most likely, some man designer forcing your character into the outfit.

And it's usually the same argument of how they think they're catering to male gamers. Skimpy man outfits would definitely cause some uproar. Not that I'd give a sh!t. Bring them on, I say!

And damn I hope they bring back nudie cut-scenes in Inquisition. Bothered me how Anders and Fenris stayed dressed, but Hawke was in the undies, Merrill was in the undies, and Isabela's design shows lots of skin anyway. I want equal nudies. And the option to disrobe our companions again in the midst of battle for my amusement. Can't use mods for that on a console.

It looks like Dark Arisen is a more enhanced version (not sure what that means, exactly). I found the answer to my PC question, it's only on Xbox and Playstation.

FYI if you don't have the game, buy Dark Arisen. It is the game + a new series of quests/levels. Plus items are cheaper.

Oh, don't get me started on the poses! I saw the hawkeye thing before, but it deserves to be posted over and over again. Can they make mods for frostbite though?  I thought it couldn't be done.

That could be part of it, sure. I don't mind the sexy at all as long as it's balanced. Morrigan's outfit didn't bother me, neither did Isabella's, but that's because they're the minority. In DD, most of the female pawns are not really dressed for winter and that makes me cover mine up because it turns the game into an oogle fest and I want no part of it.

I didn't know the nudeness in DA2 was different like that.

A few weeks ago my xbox needed to download an upgrade for Dragon's Dogma and it was called Dark Arisen so I just figured they were giving it away for free now..?

Yep, like everyone said, Dark Arisen is basically the same game. With more stuff. And supposedly fixed stuff, like rift items are supposed to be cheaper, they added more ways to "fast travel" (this game doesn't exactly have fast travel in the usual way). I got it instead of the other, because it's the full game, though some sites made it seem like a DLC, and I read some people bought it then got angry when they realized they'd have to just install the same game over again and not have their old stuff, essentially having two copies of the "same" thing.

Soooo.. Yeah. If anyone gets it, it's recommended to just get that version.

And, yes! Nudies are different in 2. Can't take off them clothes, unless you're Hawke. If we could, I'm sure there'd be more naked in-game Cullen, and not modded versions.

That's actually a good point! 

And I drooled when I saw the wide selection of clothing. There are corsets! CORSETS. My Arisen is wearing a corset with raptor boots. Thank the Maker I'm done leveling her up for that ****, now I can finally run around with my magic bow wrecking havoc.

I also enjoy all the colours. Purples, blues, greens, reds, yellows! It's nice. Hopefully not only do we get the extra armor customization in DAI, but more colouring available.

Skimpy man-bits.. The closest we got to that was this one set of Tevinter robes that I always put on Awakening Anders. If he would of had bewbage, they'd probably of flopped out mid-battle.

Back to the colouring.. I want more eye colours in DAI.

When I first played Origins, it was on a very old TV.

When we upgraded to a flatscreen and put in the HDMI cord, I was so excited to replay Origins. I thought to myself, "YES! I can finally see what colour my eyes are!!" And.. nope. I still couldn't.

I don't think it was just the lighting. They don't let you up and close enough to look, and it's also colour related. I thought too many of the eye colours were too close to the same shade.

I didn't think 2 was much better, especially with browns and hazels.

-Love- the eye colour choices for Dragon's Dogma. Can even give them 2 different coloured eyes!

My main pawn has one golden brown eye / one blue eye, and my Arisen has purple eyes.

I never really see the eyes anyway (plus I always make rather boring characters), what I would like is to see the char better before pressing OK. I think dragon's dogma did this really well compared to bioware games.
