I dunno... I think there's some kind of pawn-related spoiler at the end of the game, but I'm trying not to learn what it is.

What happens is a little confusing, I'll give y'all that much. Someone explains it to you in the game, but I still went "wut". XD

The game sounds confusing in general. I know sometimes something weird happens at the end between your previous character and your pawn.

Something weird that makes you believe your Pawn rightly deserves it, but it leaves you confused. I try not to think about it too much or put logic into it. Reading the Wiki helps a little if you need to understand something better, though. Seems there's a whole bunch of lore lying around but I NEVER find any. XD

Motomoto, are you using my pawn atm? He's almost fully levelled as a strider and I'm thinking about turning him back to mage but I don't know what happens in your game if I do that.  Also, I LOVE Arya, she is really holding her own in high-level company (plus she looks positively badass, I didn't even know you could change the shape of their ears)..!

Honestly, I'm not getting much of the story, I missed so many quests on my first pt that everything just becomes a mess. On the other hand, who has time for that when there are bunnies to kill, useless tokens to find, and a billion plants to harvest (damn my completionist mind)...

Yes, I was using his sexy azz tonight lol He stayed a Strider. Hmm that will be good if you make him a mage; I think the only one of us here who has a mage is Charlotte and she hasn't leveled up Mieli much. Poor Mieli lol Such a cute mage girl, too.

YEAH I may be getting an Arisen's Bond!!! A kind person in the DD thread here on the BSN friended me and may give me a forged copy. I'M SO HAPPY!!!! (Why? Why am I so happy? The "romances" here suck compared to DA/ME. And yet... I am happy. So sad. So very very sad.)

And thanks for making me glow with pride over Arya  I almost gave her a helmet today, but I didn't wanna cover up that bad arse red hair of hers. She's mah girl!!

The story I can figure out is... there's the whole thing with the dragon, and it comes and kills people willy-nilly. Every now and then it takes people's hearts though and those people become "Arisen." However, people keep telling me I defeated the dragon. Um, like, when? I guess after it took my heart it flew away. So I "defeated" it.

Other major plot seems to be about that Savlation cult. I say this because I know there is a boss battle/quest called Deny Salvation. 

Otherwise, I'm just running around, figuring out which armor is the cutest but won't hurt my stats, and batting my (okay, yes, male) eyes at all the pretty boys.

EDIT: My Arisen informs me that he does not BAT his eyes; he stands and stares stoically at them. Which he does. But for some reason they all like him.

I always think of him as a hardcore rule follower, so I like to imagine what he would do once those rules become murky. What is his duty to the random formerly-apostate mage he encounters? He no longer has jurisdiction over a mage, so the ethics of the icky power differential when fraternizing with a mage are moot. But indeed, romantic feelings would potentially compromise his judgment, perhaps even making him more protective...?

I always go back to this notion of whether he'd be able to switch his focus from the needs of the many to the needs of the few. He and the templars have routinely curbed the rights and freedoms of the individual mage, as well as suppressed their own individual needs and freedoms, all for the greater good. Then, what if he falls in love? Can he put the needs of that individual above the needs of the many? Should he?

Well, he's already been in this situation once before, and this happened when he was less rigid in his approach to mages. He still chose his duty. It raises the question of maturity and how it would affect him; does added years and wisdom make him confident enough to accept a relationship with a mage, or does it make him confident enough to refuse it ("I know now what is right" could easily mean either). It's like dangerous pets (weird analogy, I know); you REALLY shouldn't get one if you aren't knowledgable as all h*ll about them, but if you knew everything about them would you still get one as a pet?

On the other hand, if the issue is following the rules rather than some personal calling then I guess the issue is moot either way..?

I'm like that! I take all the quests off the boards that involve killing 25 harpies, seeking bugles etc because you end up completing them as you amble along.  I didn't take the one involving the bunnies though. Too cute to kill!

MMG thanks for using Thomas. He doesn't have the greatest style!  Wish i could find a decent helmet with good defences though that doesn't hide his face.  I have Arya on my team at the moment (well when I was playing last night). She is confident!

@Coldwetn0se thanks for the tips. Didn't think about changing vocations. Will look into that. My Arisen is a mage, so will probably still err on the magic side.

Ha, I'm actually hiding his face on purpose with that bandit mask; it's not bad but my previous pawn was such a looker in comparison. *sigh*

Hehe, I'm happy it worked out. I was gonna try and get you one, but I'm a few quests away so you would have to wait for it. I'll still do those quests though, so if you somehow end up without one just let me know. As it is I'm thinking of giving you something for enhancing her stuff, that's pretty much the only thing about her I would change. Perhaps you could give her a circlet instead (she's much too pretty for a helmet, I agree), it doesn't cover as much yet boosts her stats a bit.

I took her drakehunting yesterday. She did great!

Yeah, the ending explains much about the dragon and it's an interesting concept, but don't think about it too closely. The feeling of deep filosophy I think they're aiming for probably requires licking a frog.

I like me a stoic man so I can relate.  I'm actually making my way to the traveller's rest in the north more than I think I need to, if I romance anyone in this game it would be that guy!

It's generally good money in completing them as well, but it does make the quest list rather cluttered.

Yay, thanks! I'll try Thomas out tonight then, what's his vocation? And helmets are a drag, I hate spending so much time creating eye candy just to cover it up.

Thomas is currently a fighter but I am wondering whether I should change his vocation so he can learn new skills. I don't know. Will look at changing Arisen's vocation though.

Re helmets, shame there's a 'no helmet' mod, like they have for DAO.

Well, the good thing about trying different vocations is that you keep the augments. Some augments for warriors are really useful to mages and vice versa. A tip is to google a list of the different augments, then you'll know which ones you might want to try to get by switching vocations.
Yeah, or a "hide helmet" toggle. That would be great.
It's getting harder and harder to talk about Cullen, especially for us late adopters. I feel like whatever I bring up you guys have probably gone over it a thousand times already. Thankfully, there's always posting images of scantily clad men with Cullen's head on...

Ok so I finally found some time to get off my lazy butt and actually start remaking Cullen this is just the beginning  ofc, and also at the same time am recording my self as I do it to put it on YouTube lol for those who are interested on how its made. Anyways here is what i done so far it doesnt look like much now but hopefully when im done with it , it will look some what like Cullen
