I think Anders and Wynne's circumstances are different enough that you can't really compare them. Not exactly, at least. Wynne's spirit, I believe, was still in the fade when it possessed her/protected her, so it isn't technically 'inside' her but protecting her from the Fade. Her circumstances are more like Connor's, I guess?

While Justice was cast from the Fade and thrown into the waking world, thanks to a certain crazy. He 'haunted' a corpse first and then transferred to Anders, so he's... more directly inside Anders so to speak? Which is probably why we couldn't save Anders the same way we saved Connor. (And then there was how Anders wouldn't let us do anything for him, of course.) 

I also think Justice was slowly becoming corrupt long before he possessed Anders. Anders was just so focused on how he was a friend/had spent time with him, that he didn't see it. I had Justice and Anders in my party alllll the time during my 'canon' Awakening playthrough, and some of what Justice said/experienced was toeing the line long before he and Anders became one. Especially when he started hinting that he was envious of love, relationships, and so on...

I know my mage was thinking "this is going to end so BADLY" during the whole thing.

I played Awakening after already knowing what happens in 2. Thought it was amazing just how much foreshadowing they did with Justice.

Huh, I hadn't even thought about that. I always figured the possession for Wynne and Anders was the same. I guess I always end up thinking that demons who possess someone have successfully escaped the Fade... Like kitty in Haven. Hmm. I may need to read more about that. We do see demons in our world, like the ones that we fight, right?  How do they get here? (here, meaning in 'real' world Thedas... ahem ... <_<)

On the Awakening foreshadowing, boy howdy! Just saw a banter on tumblr, that I never saw in game, that was practically Anders negotiating with Justice about needing a new body. May need to replay it myself.

it does. It only shows Orlaîs, ending at Cumberland to the east.

LOL Um, me. Back before we learned not to expect anything from the trailer to necessarily be in game, so I tried to eek as much info out of the map scene. They came out with a clearer shot of the map later, but the geography above is still correct.

That's a nice map R2! Do you think it's accurate anymore?  I think that the trailer has possibly no bearing on the game is what bothers me the most. 

Hey, thanks. Well, the map itself is accurate in that the map I whipped up matches the map in the Cassandra underground lair scene. As far as what her map represents, I suppose it's anyone's guess. Even if there's no "underground lair, map stabbing" scene in the game, BW did create a map with strategic forces laid out on it (even if the positioning and such also isn't 'real'). So, someone in the game has need of a bigass Orlais map with battle markers on it. Heck, that even could have been us in that scene, with Cassandra standing in for the trailer. Given the level of detail in the map markers, I can't help but think that they represent real forces at play, one of whom was the Inquisition symbol. The other two...? Tevinter or the demony hordes from the Fade? The Divine or Grand Duke? Time will tell.

It's interesting to note that one of the markers looks like a Grey Warden symbol. I'm curious to see whether or not we'll still be getting a Grey Warden...though we weren't promised one I know. 

I'm also curious how many warriors we'll have in our party. I mean there is Cassandra, the Grey Warden, Cullen and possibly that Qunari fellow.

Good to be back!  It could be something entirely new,  like the Grand-Duke's banner.  I think Wiedzmin is onto something as well. Could it be a flag for the resistance? I also find it interesting that Cassandra stabs the Dales though that could just be for flair. 

David Gaider is always saying that they create characters that reflect the central conflicts so I suspect a Grey Warden, member of the resistance, member of the templar rebellion and something to do with the civil war.

Re Cole, I do find him an interesting character and after reading Asunder I wanted to know more about him. He seemed so tragic. So I would quite like him as a companion (not a LI though), as dual wielding rogue.

LOL I was saying "Marker" not Maker. I'm repeating myself here, but yeah, I've maintained since I first posted this that it could be the Circle of Magi symbôl, although its upside down which also argues against that. In higher res, it also has dragons on the side that look like Orsino's staff, Disruption I think it was called. Could be mages, but could also be tevinter with the dragon symbology. You can search back in the thread for all the rest of our speculation. (Pages 2015+ and 2084)

edit: here's the higher res version w dragons. I keep going back and forth on the mage heraldry.

yeah, that's increasingly my thinking, that the winged lady is very Orlesian looking. Maybe celene, maybe the duke.

LOL I prefer to feel pandered to.  I think it was mostly fan service. Ooh, Cassandra murdering more paper! Ooh, Morrigan! Looking sexy AND being cryptic!  Ooh, Varric, doing anything!

Cynicism aside, we did see Inquisitor-ish forces. We did get strong suggestion of Morrigan being in Orlais and we got kickass veil rip. so, it's something!

Agree. it was basically a razzle dazzle teaser. It's hard to keep in mind that, for a teaser, it was pretty meaty. It easily could have been a black screen and then Dragon Age: Inquisition title card, maybe with Morrigan being smiley and cryptic at the end. Instead, we got a whole lot of dazzle and three whole characters. It just wasn't the substance we, the hardcore, would have preferred.

So I don't feel trolled. I'm not even disappointed in the trailer itself. I'm only disappointed that it didn't give us more fodder for discussion... for the next sixteen months or whatever. Looking back at our initial dissections of the trailer's (faux) details... that was only about three weeks ago.

True, if it hadn't been for the survey leak then that would've been big news on the veil rip alone. Still, they knew it existed and they put the survey out there, so it wasn't like it was an accident that people saw it.

Actually, the next DA video I'll be doing is the trailer/info analysis one... which I should've done back in May LOL. Tbh I'm kinda DAI'ed out at the moment with the lack of any real info, thus the distinct lack of DA videos currently. Plus, it takes fecking ages to set up and film in-front of the camera, so I've been a bit lazy when it comes to non-LP's recently.

I'll remedy that though, my channel won't grow properly if I don't do it.
