Huh, that's a really good point, Danny, about needing a mechanism for learning about the new environment. Particularly without playable origins. On the other hand, they may just saddle us with lots of exposition-laden questions.

First of all welcome back Deuce!

Second I believe that Ben Gelinas and Nick Thornborough are going to Comic-Con as a part of the Dark Horse panel. Another team is going to PAX Australia if I remember right and Lola said neither are being filmed so...yeah.

I imagine life on one of the borders of Orlais is very different than life in Val Royeaux so it's possible if unlikely that they could be totally ignorant to the "big city" customs. I mean I would expect some random as of yet colony of sub-Orlesian culture.  That is if we're Orlesian. 

I hope before we leave Ferelden (should we be Ferelden) that we get to see more of it before we leave. I think seeing Gwaren in DA2 would have been cool or maybe Dragon's Peak or West Hill.

Same with the Free Marches maybe we could see Ostwick or Ansburg before we wind up wherever, but since there are no Origins I doubt it.

You know I just wake up after having a bad dream regarding Cullen. I was dreaming that I was playing Dragon Age 3. After solving a puzzle in the game, we meet up with Cullen, and he appeared to be a LI and companion in the game. In the next scene, after a big boss battle, he gives up his life defending a mage and dying in my character's arm. It would probably have been a nice ending to Cullen arc, someone who hunted down mage died while defending one, although I would probably have been pretty disappointed if it did happen like that. I'm not even making any of this stuff up. Before anyone asks, yes, he's pretty good looking with the new Frostbite engine (In my head).

@R2 Either would fun to play through, I'd love to maybe see some people who think the Warden was the bad guy and that Loghain was unjustly killed or alternatively love the Warden because they kept Loghain alive. In Starkhaven maybe we see Sebastian rallying the city against Kirkwall or he's keeping people from trying to attack Kirkwall. Would be cool.

@battlebloodmage Sorry that you had a bad dream, it does sound like something the devs would do. I hate when companions die which is why I tend to keep Anders alive. I kind of like that ending though I wish he wouldn't die.

You know, I'm actually okay with that ending if we had a choice in whether to save Cullen or not. I just don't want situations like in ME where you can't save Thane. It's just like we can choose to kill Anders, Lelianna, or Alistair. They need to be a choice in the game. I would even preferred situation like you choose one or the other that would get killed like with Kaidan/Ashley or Bethany/Carver.

Agree, being able to choose would be better... altho I would want the choice to depend on my actions as opposed to being a trade off between two characters. Like Seb vs. Anders, or Kaidan vs. Ash. I didn't really like that I chose Anders to live once or twice solely because he was my healer, you know? Or not, because Seb was my LI (IT WAS A REAL ROMANCE! IT WAS... *not listening*lalala*). I'd rather I made it for an in-world reason.

Out of all the characters so far revealed so far, Cullen is the only character so far that I feel emotionally invested in. While I roleplay, I roleplay pretty seriously, and I would think what my character would do, so you can never say never. It has to be someone I deeply care about like someone who I feel like I needed to protect in the game like my sibling character for me to choose to save someone other than Cullen. Although I doubt it matters much since I always choose to save Anders, seeing as he is my character's main LI, so I doubt I would stray from the pattern much. I'm a hopeless romance afterall. 

@ R2, I would prefer ingame action to influence the decision, but I doubt it would matter much if there weren't a trade-off since most people would choose the option that allows to have the "perfect" save file, meaning that keeping all their characters alive with maxed out friendship. People still complain til this day about Anders receiving rivalry points which can be easily make up.
